119 We Stay Together

"Okay, I want you to open your mouth." Immediately Clark followed the instruction.

The expert firmly rubs the swab up and down against the inside of the cheek for five to ten seconds, the same procedure was also done on the other side, as well as to Clifford. All of them watched with careful eyes, each were scrutinizing every move of the expert. They do not want to miss every single procedure the experts performed.

However, one of the experts interjected.

"May I have a moment with young master Clifford and little young master? If you don't mind?" it was the head of the team who spoke. He wore a lab gown, a black slacks and a white long sleeve b.u.t.ton up s.h.i.+rt. The other two wore lab gowns too and seems like nurses' uniform.

All of them were puzzled. It was Clint who followed first and said, "Let them do their job. Let's leave them for a while."

Ingrid hesitated to leave but she still followed the instruction. She already researched the procedure but this procedure is not mentioned anywhere in her research.

After several minutes of waiting outside the conference room, the three of them went outside and looked fine and Clark was sleepy.

"Clark, what did you do in there?" Ingrid asks her son right away.

"Mommy, I am sleepy." The child suddenly yawns.

Without hesitation, Ingrid carried him in her arms, she was about to excuse herself to put Clark to bed when she realized that it isn't her home.

"Uhm, excuse me, but I think Clark and I need to go home already. How about you, mom and dad, do you want to go with me?"

"Yes, we will. However, our things are still at the hotel." John answered.

"Oh, I will just fetch it and deliver to Ingrid's house later, uncle John." Clifford volunteered.

"How thoughtful of you, Clifford." Rose commended him.

"It's the least that I can do, Aunt Rose." Clifford smiled.

The experts as well bid goodbye to them. Clint on the other hand whispered something to the private investigators without their notice; they did not also notice the sudden disappearance of the private investigator and his team.

"It would be great if you could just spend the night here. We still are not sure if there are still some reporters lurking outside your residence, Ingrid and I haven't sent my men there for an advance party so that when you go home, no one could hara.s.s or bother you. It will be best if you just stay here with Clark, your dad and mom as well. I presume that we are all tired. And may I suggest, if it's okay with all of you, if it's best, that we stay together, even at least up to the day of the DNA result will be revealed? What do you think, John, Rose?"

The couple looked at each other, while Ingrid speaks up yet in a very polite way.

"Thank you so much for your offer, Mr. Briggs but I think you have already lavished us with your generosity and hospitality. We will be bothersome to you and besides, I have a home that needs my presence, too."

"Don't worry about your home; I have already taken care of it. The servants are all well taken cared off, except for the body guards that I haven't yet sent in advance before your arrival."

"I think Clint is right Ingrid, we just need to stay here for another two days. We will never know what will happen to us along the way. It's better that we are safe here." John tries to convince her daughter.

John wanted also to spend at least a few days with his best buddy. It's time that he should take a break from the ha.s.sles of the company.

"Also, Ingrid, you can call me father-in-law." Clint grinned. Ingrid blushed and hidden her blus.h.i.+ng face with a laugh.

"Oh no, no, Mr. Clint, I could only afford to call you uncle Clint now. Not that fast, I suppose." Clint laughed loud in response

Clifford and Helen looked at each other and she grinned at his son.
