119 Stop Gawking

After almost a two- hour drive from Downtown Beijing, the couple arrived at Gubei Water Town where the entrance to one of the sections of the Great Wall could be found. Since Simatai Section was one of the most scenic spots in the Great Wall, it was a worthwhile trip to visit it during daytime and nighttime. The couple left Beijing at 10 in the morning and arrived at 12 noon.

After parking the car, the two alighted. There was a golf cart waiting for them if ever they planned to stroll around Gubei Water Town.

Si Weimin carried a DSLR camera with him as he walked beside Xu Jia Li. He had a warm smile on his face as he ran his fingers through his hair.

Xu Jia Li couldn't help but admire Si Weimin as she observed his every move. How could someone look beyond exceptional like him? Even his simple attire looked great on him. He only wore a dark brown jacket with a white s.h.i.+rt underneath. He had black jeans on and a pair of white rubber shoes.

"Stop gawking…"

Hearing Si Weimin's teasing voice, Xu Jia Li scoffed at him before she walked a bit faster, leaving him smirking alone.

"CEO, will you ride the golf cart?" one of the staff asked him.

Gazing at Xu Jia Li's back, he smiled before he said, "No, we'll start with the ferry first."

"Enjoy your tour, CEO!"

Xu Jia Li walked fast as she sneered inside, "Hmmph! How can he be so arrogant? I'm not gawking at him…"

She stopped for a while when she realized that she was indeed gawking at him. She started giggling.

"Well, he can't blame me. Who told him to be so handsome?" she laughed at her thought.

Earlier, when Si Weimin said that she should wear something light, she already had a feeling that they would go on a day tour at The Great Wall. So, she chose a color similar to Si Weimin's attire. She took her light brown linen jacket over a white cotton s.h.i.+rt and black jeans. She also wore a pair of white sneakers. She had her long curly hair in a bun.

She also didn't forget to bring her FujiFilm Instax Mini 90. It was the gift she received from Zhen Nian on her birthday last year. She hanged it around her neck. Since she loved taking instant photos, it was a great thing to bring it with her.

Her eyes flickered with excitement as she reached the dock. There was no one there except w.a.n.g Guo who was clearly waiting for them.

"h.e.l.lo, young madam."

Xu Jia Li felt shy upon hearing w.a.n.g Guo. She smiled at him as she greeted in return, "Hi, a.s.sistant w.a.n.g!"

"Where's CEO?"

"Ahm, he'll be here soon," She lied as she smiled at him.

"I hope you'll enjoy your lunch at the ferry, young madam."

"Ahm, it's really not necessary to call me that. Just call me by my name," Xu Jia Li awkwardly said.

However, a deep male voice said, "Let the guy do what he pleases."

"Chairman Han…" w.a.n.g Guo greeted the man.

"I didn't know that the reason Simatai Section is closed would be because a beautiful woman is here," Chairman Han smiled at the surprised Xu Jia Li before he took her right hand and kissed it.

"Chairman Han!" w.a.n.g Guo nervously called. He didn't know whether to hold or push the man. He was afraid the devil would see this sudden display of affection. He was sure that the devil would have his head off.

"Don't be so stingy, a.s.sistant w.a.n.g. This beauty deserves this much appreciation."

Xu Jia Li was caught off guard but she immediately took her hand back. She stared blankly at the man, not showing any emotion.

"I'm sorry to scare you, mi hermosa. It's just that, I can't control myself in the presence of such a sight."

Xu Jia Li didn't respond as she bowed her head before she left. She suddenly felt regretful heading ahead and meeting the rude, arrogant and annoying man.

She walked back and saw Si Weimin taking pictures of the Simatai Great Wall from the distant. She ran towards him. She locked arms with him as she said, "I just found out that you're not the most annoying and arrogant man alive."

"Really? Is that a compliment?" Si Weimin chuckled.

"A compliment, indeed."
