“Daddy.” Rainy was waving her hand at Gao Yi who was not far away from them. He was here to pick them up. She ran happily towards him.

“Xia Ruoxin, I don't know what your motive for coming back here is. Did you think of using your daughter to obtain a share of the Chu family's a.s.sets? You can stop your wishful thinking.” She sneered as she rubbed her hand against her stomach. “I am pregnant. You are a mother, too. You should know that a mother is the strongest human being in this world. Regardless of whether your daughter is dead or alive, you will never touch a single cent belonging to the Chu family.”

Xia Ruoxin's fingers twitched slightly. Li Manni's words seemed irrelevant—without a beginning or an end, and yet, she would hear that this was her way of threatening her.
