*New) Innate Skills

*New) Paradoxical Dantian: Upon fusing two sources of energy of opposite alignment, you've gained an otherwise incomprehensible little storage facility for your personal reserves of energy.

Current Effect: Energy Fusion of Inverse, Opposite, or Contrarian alignment becomes evidently easier.

*New) Cold Flame: The manifestation of ice and fire fusing seamlessly. This flame shouldn't exist, yet it does… and by its very nature, it's extremely volatile and unstable. It is adamantly advised to not wield this flame whilst possessing inadequate levels of control over fire and ice, especially at lower levels of cultivation as the unruly nature it possesses might prove hard to use without causing severe and potentially fatal self-harm.

1) Successful Fire & Ice Fusion: Usually such insane breakthroughs are made at higher ranks and stages of cultivation and as consequent of making this particular breakthrough in fusing adverse energy types, young Elizabeth managed to upgrade not just her Intelligence, but the totality of her body as well.

Outcome: Body stabilized at current Stats; at least a gain of 10 per Stat.]

She had digested both the Darkyin Cultivation technique she'd earned from developing Yin affinity as well as the impressive-sounding "G.o.dKING Gabriela's Book of Fire and Ice." With the extra time left to ponder her choices, Elizabeth made up her mind to chose the Frigid Yin Magical Fragment out of the choices presented to her; opting that over all others, after deciding to prioritize Ice cultivation over other forms of Yin-oriented cultivation.

After properly digesting the contents of the G.o.dking's cultivation technique, Elizabeth chose to share some of the most basic meditation techniques she'd learned for the ice aspect of cultivation with Jane. Nothing too ridiculous, just enough to get Jane through the Mortal Realm with a "good enough" foundation.

Naturally, Jane, after learning the concepts of meditation from Elizabeth, concepts that came from a literal king of G.o.ds, easily put theory to practice; her performance even momentarily bringing Elizabeth to pleased surprise. Elizabeth checked Jane's affinity for Ice and after thinking about the juxtaposition between her status function's a.n.a.lysis and reality, she came to her own conclusions as to how the affinity system worked.

Name: Jane

*New) Innate Skills

*New) Ice Affinity

Tier: Bad

Description: Born with literally no talent for anything at all, Jane cultivated a Trash-tier affinity rating for Ice through sheer effort after sticking to a furnace refining cultivation technique. Her breakthrough into the Warrior Stage however, couldn't be complete without elevating her affinity to Bad-tier which given her next to nonexistent foundation would have resulted in her immediate and vain death. However, young Elizabeth's reversal of the crystallization of Jane's Dantian along with her mediation of the breakthrough into the Warrior Stage resulted in the elevation to Bad-tier required.

*New) Yin Affinity

Tier: Trash-tier

Description: The breakthrough to Warrior Stage whilst also having nearly all acupoints along Yin Governing Meridians frozen off resulted in the spontaneous acquisition of Yin affinity. The perfect restoration thereafter of the Yin Governing Meridian back to optimal levels of functions along with energy flowing naturally once more stabilized the Yin Affinity to standard Trash-tier.]

Elizabeth thought, 'Funny… I have Trash-tier Affinity for various energy sources and the like, while Jane, Sun, and probably Atid as well as many other established Martial Pract.i.tioners have Bad or even higher levels of Innate Affinity. Yet, I have a perfect foundation, now more than ever with Stats eclipsing what perfection ought to be. It's almost like Affinity isn't at all tied to what someone is capable of achieving or even if they'll ever be able to achieve it at all...'

After Elizabeth regained the ability to move and heal herself, she walked over to Jane and for a final time directed her energy to show the improved and proper ice cultivation technique she'd perfected while operating on her Dantain. Jane started showing signs of reverting back to that hollow husk of a person, slowing turning silent and avoiding eye contact with Elizabeth.

But, because Elizabeth could move around, and because she didn't want to stay in an awkward state with Jane again, she slapped her hands on Jane's shoulder as she'd seen friends do on the TV and did her best impression of a "smiling half-disappointed half-joking friend." The moved seemed to have worked as Jane stopped looking down at the ground as if she'd been found guilty of heinous crimes.

The two girls kept up their trading of cultivation secrets for a while longer before everything that needed to be said was said. Thereafter, Elizabeth told Jane that she would check up on her progress every couple days and slowly her overall foundation would approach similar levels of perfection.

Jane left Elizabeth's room around dawn and once alone Elizabeth fell into a deep sleep as the plight of yesternight was too much for her fatigued and worn out body to ignore. She didn't even want to think about working, as she made a beeline to her bed and fell asleep even as she fell through the air.

Her decision to get some rest right now would prove to be immensely in her favor, as not ten minutes after Elizabeth fell asleep a whole new cast of weirdo battle fanatics reared their heads into the dojo.

…

"Ah… Atid my old friend! I've come today in search of good times and "fun!"" A familiar and raspy sounding voice shook Atid's dojo from the entrance and along with the impossibly jubilant sounding screaming there appeared the silhouette of two people; that of a tall middle-aged man, and a one which was eerily similar to that of Elizabeth's.

"Fun? How exactly do you wish to lose this time? Armed? Unarmed? Or maybe..." Atid slowly dragged his words as he looked to his side, where Sun stood, before finis.h.i.+ng his thought with, "...You'd like to lose a bet?"

"Che! It's your pick this time around anyway..." The man said as he crossed through the entrance and made his ident.i.ty clear.

"Luca… You've finally brought the little miss around..." Atid said, as his eyes narrowed whilst comparing the young lady accompanying Luca to Elizabeth.

"Uncle Atid..." The young girl politely said, as she gave a curt bow and returned to quietly stand beside Luca.

"El..." Sun was just about to call Elizabeth's name, but after taking a closer look, he instantly realized this person wasn't Elizabeth at all; they just looked similar…

"Sun! Call for Jane to show young Sophie to her new quarters. In case you forgot, Sophie will stay with us for the next couple months in preparation for this year's "Amateur Underground Champions.h.i.+p.""

"Right..." Sun said as he shrugged Atid's comment to the side and left to call for Jane.
