Still, Natalie could not spam her Thunderstorm as it had a long cooldown of 24 hours. Yet, she could reduce the cooldown by getting attacked by a thunder-based skill from friends or enemies.

Deauc.o.c.k was not in good shape either as Tama occasionally hara.s.sed him with tentacle slashes or tentacle spears. Every time he got hit by Tama, the latter always attempted to suck his blood or bite off a chunk of his flesh.

Because of Tama and Misha's coordinating attacks, Deauc.o.c.k's HP gradually decreased from 300,000 to 150,000.

Despite the pace of the duel, Misha was getting restless as more players returned to the battlefield. She was concerned that if she got caught in this battle, everyone would loot everything from the dead bosses.

"An opening!"

Deauc.o.c.k stomped his feet and created an earth spike, which erupted from the ground below Misha's feet.

The spike hit Misha's belly, which inflicted physical damage.

Fortunately, Misha's overall strength was now much higher than Deauc.o.c.k, who still had 15,000 power. As a result, she obtained the power-difference defense buff, which neutralized most of the knight's damage.

Deauc.o.c.k clicked his tongue as he failed to kill Misha in one strike.

Still, he regained his momentum. As Deauc.o.c.k regained his posture and the footing, he launched a sword wave attack at Misha at close range.

By reflex, Tama activated a random teleportation b.u.t.ton for Misha.

However, the latter had another idea. Misha activated a fairy overlord skill to finish this fight.

As soon as she entered the s.p.a.ce, she confronted with black slime knight's soul, who had taken over Benz Deauc.o.c.k's body.

The slime also took over the appearance of Benz Deauc.o.c.k, but the body texture was still made of liquid.

It was a black slime monster in a human form with a bright soul core within its body. As long as this core was destroyed, Misha could defeat this monster in its home field.

Meanwhile, unlike when she was in her mind s.p.a.ce, Misha's appearance reverted back to a female human figure instead of a giant eyeball. Since Misha could not exert the mental strength of the body, she chose not to waste her psyche force by transforming into a strange form to increase her power output. Had she done so, she would have lost a lot of her PF, and it might tire her during the fight.

This was a risky fight since Deauc.o.c.k had the advantage of multi-tasking, a.s.sistance from the brain, extra psyche force, and the field manipulation. Misha could only hope that Deauc.o.c.k had not mastered soul battle crafts yet. 

"BLAST!"

Without wasting her time, Misha took the initiative and launched an invisible cannonball at the slime. At the same time, she summoned a lightning sword and rushed at Deauc.o.c.k.

Deauc.o.c.k howled and generated a shockwave, similar to his kobold's shockwave skill.

The power deflected Misha's cannonball away.

Before the shockwave reached Misha, she stomped her right foot and mimicked a kobold's sword power.

The two separated bodies of Deauc.o.c.k merged and restored his soul form.

Deauc.o.c.k smirked at Misha as it snapped his fingers.

Sensing the bad omen, Misha leapt backward.

An explosion occurred on the spot where she had stood. Had she been slower, her soul body would have gotten caught by the blast.

Misha recalled this skill now. It was something that Mia had once used against Sebastian and other golden generation prisoners during the close-beta.

Deauc.o.c.k snapped his fingers five more times.

Misha gritted her teeth and exerted her mental strength, increasing her speed as she flew away from the slime.

Five more explosions followed after Misha, but they all missed.

Getting impatient, Deauc.o.c.k commanded his soul room to shrink, limiting Misha's fleeing s.p.a.ce. Also, the room's walls and ceiling wiggled and transformed into a liquid state. 

Misha, sensing that Deauc.o.c.k's performance in soul combat exceeded her expectation, mustered her psyche power. She aimed at the core with her eyes as she imagined a similar skill that Deauc.o.c.k and Mia used.

Then, she snapped her fingers.

"!!!"

Deauc.o.c.k was shocked. The soul core in his slime body exploded from the inside. Fortunately, the explosion was weak, and it did not destroy most of his soul.

Without the soul core, Deauc.o.c.k lost control of the red room. Now, all Misha had to do was to shatter this slime's soul into fragments.

"IT'S OVER, SLIME!"

Misha did not snap her fingers again. Instead, she summoned three flying lightning sword and sent it at the injured slime.

The swords punctured the slime's body.

Three lightning swords exploded as if they were high-explosive grenades. Deauc.o.c.k's body shattered to pieces.

Since the body of Deauc.o.c.k had become coreless, Misha believed that this body was as good as dead. She absorbed Deauc.o.c.k's soul fragments like a vacuum before she flew out of the s.p.a.ce.

The memory was not pleasant as it was similar to what Lucien had experienced in his previous life. A human army invaded the kobold's homeworld and killed everyone, but this "Misha" existence ate their souls and turned them into black slimes.

Misha disregarded the traumatizing memory of the kobold and concentrated on leaving the dead soul s.p.a.ce. Upon getting outside, Misha's soul encountered a serious problem.

'Where is my body?'

After pressing the teleportation b.u.t.ton in a panic, Tama and Misha's avatar reappeared a kilometer away from the battlefield.

Tama found herself in a thick forest, which was the territory near Arthur and Walter's hangout.

No response came from Misha. Her eyes were looking into a distance in a daze with her mouth slightly opened.

While Misha's body was looking lifeless, Tama took 10 red gels and began nom-nomming, using her tentacle mouths. As she was eating, she controlled the avatar to fly back toward the battlefield.

Fl.u.s.tered and panicked, Misha's soul looked around for Tama, but she could not sense her body.

Around her, only kobolds and players were still fighting. No sign of a flying dragonewt could be seen in the sky either.

If Misha could not return to her body soon, her soul might slowly degrade into one of the black slimes. Even now, she could feel a burning sensation to her soul, which might be a sign that her soul was melting.

'Not good! I need to possess someone or steal a body. But I can't possess a dead body!'

Misha suppressed her anxiety and focused. She looked around again to find a temporary host, so her soul could survive.

Then, she found a kobold, whose HP was still full at 200,000.

'I'll take this one!'

As Misha was about to possess the kobold, a firestorm appeared, carried the kobold into the fire tornado. Not only Misha's target was picked up by the firestorm, but twenty more monsters got pulled into the burning wind as well.

"Nailed another 21! Let's grab more loot on the ground! There's a dead knight over there!"

It was Shurka who rejoined the battle late. She stole Misha's target and looted Deauc.o.c.k's dead body clean. 

Annoyed by the bad timing Shurka, Misha was on the verge of possessing her girlfriend.

But then, the corner of her eyes caught something interesting.

She found Giles Corey, who was standing, looking forward in a daze.

'Oh?'

It seemed that he was fighting against a black slime in his mind s.p.a.ce.

'Should I take his body?'

Although Misha did not like INWTRUE guild members, she still respected them as a human being in real life. Taking over Giles Corey's body might end up killing him for real, which was not Misha's ideal.
