Tama was taking her time collecting fireb.a.l.l.s. Combined with what she had summoned earlier, she had 35 b.a.l.l.s of miniature suns...o...b..ting around Misha's avatar.

On the distance, the chaotic war between the players and the kobolds was ongoing. The defender's side slowly regained ground as players could infinitely resp.a.w.n upon death, except those who were consumed by black slimes.

Again, Misha did not respond afterward.

At long last, Tama noticed that something was wrong with Misha. Even though she had defeated the slime knight, the usual sweet voice of Misha never returned.

Tama was alarmed, thinking that Misha had died or something had happened to her psyche.

Tama threw all collected 35 fireb.a.l.l.s towards the kobold army's general direction. Afterward, she flew toward the city, where Misha and others had marked as a rendezvous point.

Unbeknownst to Tama, Misha's soul was still hanging around at the battlefield. Moreover, she invaded another body, the new slime knight, Giles Corey.

Upon arrival inside Corey's mind s.p.a.ce, Misha found the black slime, who had not fully digested the soul core and the host's soul fragments yet.

Without waiting for the slime knight to react, Misha gathered her force into a lightning sword and slashed down, using a new skill that she thought of.

Lightning Sword Wave!

It was a combination of her lightning manipulation skill and the sword wave of kobolds.

Crescent thunder current shot out of Misha's sword slash and cleaved the slime knight into two.

Then...

*BOOM*

The lightning exploded upon impact, shattered the knight's soul into fragments.

Misha seized the core from the dead slime right away and temporarily took over Giles Corey's body, saving her soul from eroding into a black slime.

Misha's new body opened her eyes again and glanced at her game name.

Black Slime Knight, Giles Corey [Error]

The red name had not changed at all. Aside from the [Error] instead of the power indicator, everything was the same.

*ZAP!*

Misha felt a sharp numbing pain from her waist as if she was electrocuted. Upon looking around, she found that her current temporary avatar was being attacked by Sasha's chain lightning.

'Whoops! She must have thought that I'm a monster!'

For the sake of her safety, Misha planned to communicate with Sasha via a psionic link.

Misha could not use fairy overlord's skills. Moreover, this body felt sluggish, and she could barely move at all.

Misha activated her status menu to examine what this body could do.

Misha gritted her teeth and embraced all random attacks from the players, waiting for the [Stunned], and [Paralysis] abnormal status effect to wear off.

Her HP slowly decreased from all the bullets, magic, random projectiles, and damage-over-time effect from the players. Fortunately, this body had 300,000 when Misha stole it from the black slime, so it could handle a bit of punishment.

5 Seconds later, both [Stunned] and [Paralysis] wore off. Misha kicked the ground and ran away from the battlefield.

Someone tossed a grenade at Misha's feet and exploded, but the damage was minimal.

Although Misha could not see her body's status, the HP bar above her head revealed that she still had over 50% life remaining. With at least 150,000 HP remaining, Misha was confident that nothing could kill her.

Unfortunately, Misha's string of bad luck was not over. As Misha was running away, Natalie was chasing after her.

"Don't you dare running away, my EXP!"

From other players and Natalie's point of view, Misha's appearance and name were that of a converted slime knight, a humanoid body of a player with red aura and a red name. Furthermore, Giles Corey's eyes were now black diamonds instead of human's eyes.

Thus, n.o.body recognized that Misha's soul was inside that body. 

Misha turned toward Natalie and yelled, "SILLY GIRL, STOP!! THIS IS MISHA!! I'M USING THIS BODY ATM!!"

Unlucky for Misha, her voice was that of a man, so Natalie thought that it was a blatant lie.

"Oh? NPCs these days are so smart that they can lie with a straight face. Don't worry, you're just a compiled data. I'll make this quick."

"@#$%!"

Misha wanted to scold Natalie for being too dull in this situation, but she did not have time to bicker with this girl anymore.

Since negotiation did not work, Misha activated her psionic possession skill, so she could talk to Natalie in her mind s.p.a.ce.

Five lightning b.a.l.l.s were flying toward her direction.

Looking at the other end, the owner of these b.a.l.l.s was Sasha!

Moreover, Natalie had been recharging her killing move, the Thunderstorm. She gathered her electric currents inside her body, getting ready to summon it to kill Misha.

"Tag team against me at this moment!? You all are jerks!"

Angered by Sasha and Natalie's misunderstanding and aggression, Misha picked a sword from a dead body nearby. She stomped the ground as she gathered her strength into the sword.

Misha used a skill that she had invented in Giles Corey's mind s.p.a.ce.

She did not think it would work for the game character, but the skill activated.

Thunder Sword Wave!

The crescent electric wave rushed at Natalie, who was closest to Misha.

Natalie was caught off guard as she thought that Giles was running away, and he would not retaliate. As a consequence, her legs were stiff, unable to react on time.

Not only Natalie had a killing move, but Sasha also had one. Moreover, it was a single target skill, which was more destructive than Natalie's AOE Thunderstorm.

As if an anti-mutant railgun had been fired, a blue beam went straight at Misha.

Misha leapt to her left side.

She could not evade everything. Both of her legs got caught by the skill.

Recalled that monsters could use VIP items, Misha attempted to open her inventory. Although Misha's body was numb, she could still slowly move.

Misha swallowed her saliva and bit her lower lip.

But then, she found several items on the ground.

They were Natalie's items!

"I can still survive!"

Misha glanced at Sasha, who was panting after she had fired her killing move. Upon closer inspection, she found that Sasha had a new abnormal status, [Mentally Exhausted], [Weakened], and [Paralysis].

Sasha's movement became as sluggish as Misha. It seemed that her previous skill had a couple of backlashes, so she chose not to use it unless the situation required it.

'She must have been mad because I killed Natalie.'

Slowly and steadily, Misha grabbed a half-full bottle of potion, which was a leftover item that could not be stored in Natalie's VIP inventory. Thankfully, all items in the VIP inventory would not drop from the player upon death, but a half-used item, such as an opened bottle of potion, had to be stored in a regular inventory.

Thus, this potion bottle, which was stored in Natalie's regular inventory, ejected from her character after she had died.

Misha poured the potion into her mouth, drinking everything in the bottle to the last drop.

Sasha's face and reaction at the moment were similar to Misha's when the latter saw how Deauc.o.c.k restored his HP. She glared at Misha with hatred.

Misha also yelled, hoping to use all surviving field bosses as her s.h.i.+eld, "ALL UNITS, RETREAT!! BY THE ORDER OF MISHA BLOOMINGLILY, RETREAT!!"

800 Remaining kobolds and 10 converted knights turned toward Misha and followed her order, running away toward Misha's gesture.

Sasha did not go after Misha, but she rushed toward Natalie's dead body, recovering the latter's dropped items, including several 5-star accessories.

All players reacted after Sasha took off first. They also noticed the movement of the kobolds. As they aimed to loot more dropped items from other players and the dead bosses, everyone pursued.

Shurka was also among the pursuers!

Fireb.a.l.l.s exploded and killed 10 retreating kobolds. Shurka did not go easy on the field bosses at all.

The inferno dragonewt flew like a jet fighter plane, chasing down after Misha.

The latter heard a whistling sound of a fast-moving object in the sky coming toward her direction. As someone with flight experience, Misha knew that this kind of noise was from someone who was gliding at high speed.

'Shurka again? Really, I need to find Tama and my body ASAP!'

Not wanting to risk dying with this body, Misha launched a lightning sword wave at Shurka for self-protection.

While swooping down closer to Misha, Shurka juked right, dodging the incoming wave attack.

But she did not expect an additional effect of Misha's personal skill.

Even though Shurka dodged the sword wave, the electric current within the skill touched her skin, which caused the entire sword wave to explode.

Shurka widened her eyes in shock as her Paralysis resistance failed to resist Misha's attack. Fortunately, she was immune to electric or thunder attacks. Or else, she would have been dead.

Still, had the sword wave cut her, she would have also been dead.

Misha did not only send one TSW at Shurka, but she also swung her looted sword a few times at the chasing players to keep her distance.

Other kobolds also started speaking, "We lost too many comrades, woof!"

"We need to kill more of them, woof!"

"Their self-revival power is cheating woof!"

Another knight nodded and commented, "We should try to infiltrate the city and destroy their pantheons first. From previous memory, if we destroy the pantheons, those monkeys won't be able to revive anymore!"

"Wow, woof!"

Misha's face twitched, observing the meme NPCs talking among themselves.

As Misha and all NPCs were catching their breath and recovering their lost HP, someone sent a telepathic message to their mind.

[This is your messiah, Misha Bloominglily. What happened to your group? Why are you retreating?]

For the first time, Misha heard the other Misha's voice.
