193 Red Name Panalties

Misha walked out of a real estate company building with a bright smile. In her hands, it was a deed of land, which was located on another island near Newbie Island.

Her bought territory was the whole island, which had a size of 10 square kilometers, and it cost her only 1 million dust.

Although it was dirt cheap, there were downsides.

The entire island was populated by monsters, which require a subjugation force to clear it. From the real estate's Intel, it was protected by several 5000-power boss monsters and 3000-power mutated animals.

'For my meth factory, I shall conquer that island and be the kingpin of a mafia family! Mehhaha!'

Although Misha knew that her thoughts were getting influenced by the flow of the game and her skill, she was enjoying it.

*Mew* (What about robots and finding Mia.)

"I know. We just have to establish our guild and our cash-printers. Then, we'll think about that later."

*Mew* (You're getting sidetrack, though.)

"No. Establis.h.i.+ng our gang and generate our income is our first priority, contacting Mia and his perverted wives is a side quest!"

*…*

With her new goal and new dreams, Misha walked out of the town, looking for a corrupted zombie horde to hunt.

While they were looking for a horde of monsters, Tama also told Misha to practice flying using their wings. Since they had been together for a long time and Tama had grown a bit, she was confident that they could fly if they practice flapping their wings together.

Misha found a clear gra.s.sland without monsters to practice.

For the first time, Misha and Tama controlled the dragonewt wings together as one.

They jumped up and flapped the wings.

*POEK*

They fell onto the ground after propelling themselves upward for another 20 centimeters after they had reached the maximum of their jump.

"It's hard."

*Mew* (But there's a wind reaction from the wings.)

"Let's try again."

The second attempt, Misha flew 30 centimeters upward before she fell on her b.u.t.t.

*Mew* (Use your legs properly! Learn to land, dammit.)

"Don't birds tuck their legs when they fly? I was using the same principle!"

*Mew* (We don't have their const.i.tution, you banana. Let's try again.)

In the third attempt, they managed to jump higher, which caused more falling damage when they landed.

Misha managed to land on her dominant leg, but she stumbled and fell on her b.u.t.t again.

"That hurts."

*Mew* (Again!)

For the rest of the second day in-game, Misha jumped and crashed on the ground as she was learning how to fly.

She landed in a wrong position many times, which decreased her HP by accidents and fall damages. Still, she had the auto-regeneration skill, which recovered her HP as Misha was trying to use her wings.

Because she kept jumping and landing, players began to notice what Misha was doing. All of them could recognize her as a ranker since Misha now had a silver [2nd Ranker] badge above her name, telling everyone that she was currently second in the level ranking.

People took screenshots of her failed landings and flying attempts to post on social media, thinking it was funny and silly.

When sub-server-1 players noticed the posts, all of them flocked to the flying practice site to watch Misha trying to fly. Even ranker haters joined the commotion to mock Misha.

Every time Misha fell, jeers, boos, and laughter came from the crowd.

Misha and Tama got angry when they found out that the crowd was treating her as a joke.

Then, a private message from Moo encouraged her.

[I saw what you are trying to do in my Furbook. Imma flame those trolls and haters and burn to oblivion for you! Don't give an F about them. Just try your best!]

It made Misha smiled and proud that she had a good friend.

[Also, let me put my Catto d.i.c.ku in between your b.o.o.bu after this. Let's treat this as my compensation.]

Misha took back her words. Moo was too perverted to be called a good friend.

.

3rd day in-game.

*Flap*

Two dragonewt wings behind Misha's flapped in synchronization, bringing her body up in the air.

*Flap*

*Flap*

*Flap*

Misha and Tama kept on flapping, maintaining her current alt.i.tude.

"You can do it, Misha."

"You can fly!"

"Fly, Misha. Fly!"

On the ground, many players who were Misha's fans came to cheer for her. Since yesterday, her flight practice had been discovered by other players, and they took several clips of her failed attempts.

At first, people mocked her for being stupid and ridiculed her failures. However, her hard-working att.i.tude won the hearts of many viewers and female players.

They admired the hard worker, Misha, who did not give up after facing many obstacles. Her level was the proof that she might have worked harder than the majority of the players here.

Also, the existence of EXP books disgusted FTP players and light-cashers. In turn, the fact that Misha did not rely on the EXP books to get that far impressed these players.

As a result, Misha's fame rose among the free-to-play and light casher players. Many people rooted for her to beat Roman and take her first place back soon.

"Synchronize your movements! One, Two! One, Two!"

"Don't give up!"

The cheers went on, but Misha did not hear about that.

At the moment, she was fighting against the soreness from her wing's muscles. Tama also tried her best to relieve the muscle pain by monitoring Misha's ST value and kept feeding her green gels to replenish her stamina.

After one minute of battling against gravity, the game sent them a message, a piece of good news.

*MYA!* (f.u.c.k YES!!)

"OSSHA!!"

.

All dragonewts are born with the ability to fly. However, it takes practice and determination to learn how to fly by themselves. Only those who worked hard and did not give up their instinct and dream can enjoy the view from the sky.

>

Flying by using wings is easier. Flight speed and flight mastery depend on AGI and DEX.

After they earned the skill, the wings behind Misha's back felt lighter and more powerful. Each flap brought her body 10 meters higher, which brought joy to herself and her fans.

"SHE DID IT!!"

"YEAHHH!"

"OMG, I'm crying."

The onlookers clapped and cheers while Misha laughed as she found the cold wind in the sky pleasant.

Unfortunately, their happy moment ended abruptly when someone with the prefix name [INWTRUE] appeared with a group of 50 players.

Nemo glared at Misha, who was still flying in a circle with her wings.

He grinned as he took out an A4 rifle that he and his clanmates had gathered enough dust and bought from the city's gun store.

*BANG*

*BANG*

*BANG*

Two bullets. .h.i.t Misha's body while another one punctured through her left wing.

15!

17!

11!

Despite the low damages, the impact disrupted Misha's concentration. She fell onto the ground from 15 meters in height.

*POEK*

150!

Just like that, Misha's HP dropped from 241 to 48, which was in a critical condition.

Nemo screamed, "SCRAM, MOTHERf.u.c.kERS!! IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO POP A CAP IN YOUR a.s.s, GTFO!"

*BANG*

Nemo shot his gun to the sky, chasing all onlooking players.

Seeing the gun and the entourage behind Nemo, several players cussed at them.

"Why the f.u.c.k did you shoot her!? What has she done to you!?"

"You want a piece of her? Better get over my dead body!"

"I'm reporting the guards. You're a criminal now!"

Because Nemo had open-fired at Misha, who had positive karma, he and his friends received a grey flag, which Misha could retaliate without a penalty. Also, players nearby had been flagged as eyewitnesses, and they could inform about Nemo's deed, turning him into a red name criminal and reducing his karma.

"No eyewitness alive. KILL!"

All 50 of Nemo's friends had the prefix [INWTRUE] before their name as they were a part of the same clan. Also, most of them were already level 40, and they all were armed with a pistol.

Meanwhile, one hundred onlookers still used melee weapons as their primary tools, and their average level was 25.

The result was disastrous as all onlookers were killed in an instant.

But the slaughter was not without a penalty. On Nemo and his friends' game screen, many messages appeared upon killing the players.

Though the punishment was severe, they came here prepared.

As they increased their levels by killing monsters, they also offered the monsters' dead bodies to their Parthenon, which increased their karma.

Most of their karma was higher than Misha as they had killed many weak monsters and had donated more corpses. Their lowest karma members had over 700 karma, which gave them a large margin to kill players.

When all one hundred players fell, one of Nemo friends had their karma below the allowed target. His body disintegrated as they received a piece of bad news which he would never forget for the entire life.

His name also disappeared from Nemo's friend list as all players in the hardcore server were banned from contacting the real-world and people in other games.

Only death awaited them there!

Instead of panicking, Nemo lashed his tongue at the disappeared friend.

"Idiot! I told you to watch your karma! All level 35 should have stopped killing when your karma had dropped to minus 200 or so!"

Misha, who was lying p.r.o.ne on the ground after her rough landing, watched the carnage in shock.

"These people!"

*MYA* (I have enough of these bananas! Let's send them to oblivion!)

"Ah."

They glared at Nemo and his friends, whose name was glowing red as they committed murder, and their karma was below 0.

.

.

Meanwhile, at sub-server 3451, a red name player was lying on the ground as he struggled to crawl backward, trying to get away from a player.

The red name player had killed his party members to loot their belongings during their hunt together. Unfortunately, one of his teammates was a top ranker, who had more experience in real-combat and a stronger game character.

Dove slowly walked toward the player as he wielded b.l.o.o.d.y knives in both hands.

"Do you know what will happen to the red name players after they die?"

A sinister question came from Dove. Upon speaking, two legs of the injured red name players were frozen by icicles, which appeared out of nowhere.

"P-Please let me go. You can have my items. It was a misunderstanding!"

Dove grinned.

"Sorry. I have an experiment to test on you. I want to know how many people I have to kill to get my old combat cla.s.s again."

"What?"

"Also, for the previous question. I'll tell you the answer."

Both of Dove's knives dug into the chest of the player.

The dying player choked blood as he stared into Dove's eyes.

Dove touched his cheek and wiped the tears from his face, "I also don't know. But from what I've learned, they seem to disappear from the server after a few hours. I also tried to search for their in-game name, but they no longer exist …"

The player died as the game sent him horrifying information.
