The next day, "I'm bored" Arima said while eating. His eyes were so unfocused, it seemed like he would fall on the table.

Of course, the three others were with him, sitting at the same table "Well, it's true that there's nothing really interesting to do in this world for you when it's too calm" Lilis said casually.

"I think it's good to have some days of rest though" Lanya said and served some food to Night who was beside her.

When Night saw how naturally Lanya gave him food like she was feeding a pet, his eyes became blank and totally ignored what they were talking about and just ate the food he had in front of him.

"Then let's try to find something to do" Lilis clapped her hands and said.

Arima slowly turned to look at her "If it was that easy, I wouldn't be like that" He said

"Why don't you train?" Lanya asked

"Because I don't want right now" He said and started eating some sweets "You know, it's like writing a book, you can like doing it but you're f.u.c.king lazy and never do it, ultimately, you finish the book in more time that you should have needed" He said "And, now, I'm basically lazy and bored at the same time. So I need something interesting enough to motivate me to move" He explained.

"What a simple way of thinking" Lilis commented and then mused for a few seconds, at one point she smirked and looked at Arima.

"What?" The latter asked.

"Why don't you just go visit the city with Lanya, it could spend your boredom" Lilis said and Lanya stiffened.

"A visit?" Arima frowned "I already know every detail about this place, why would I need a visit?"

Lilis grunted "The point here is not about the visit but the time you pa.s.s with a gentle and pretty girl, do you understand?" She said while pointing at Lanya, putting the latter in even more awkward situation.

Arima sighed and glanced at Lanya "Sure, why not?" He just said and Lanya smiled while Lilis started laughing for some reason.

"Then, I will leave you alone" Lilis stood up "I'll take this little guy with me too" She caught the still blank Night and embraced him.

"Eh? What?" He awoke up when he felt Lilis hugging him, then he looked around and then saw that he was slowly getting farther away from Arima and Lanya. That also meant that the one who was carrying him wasn't one of these. He looked hurriedly at who was carrying him and started panicking a bit "Wait! Arima, help me! Don't let her take me!" He shouted "s.h.i.+t! Why can't I release my form?" He cursed after trying to turn back into a dragon and failing, he instantly understood that Lilis had blocked his magic somehow.

Lilis took him away, and even when they were afar, Arima could still hear Night howling like a wolf. Arima and Lanya looked at each other and smiled "Let's go then" The former said and walked out of the Inn with Lanya.

"Well, where to go?" Arima pondered and said while they were walking on the streets "Is there somewhere you want to go?" He turned toward Lanya who was beside her and asked.

Lanya trembled a bit and then started thinking "…Is there something funny in this city?" She asked

"Funny, huh?" Arima muttered "Now that I think about it, there's something which seems to be very interesting" He smiled and said "It's in this direction" Arima pointed to a street on the left and went there with Lanya.

Actually, the latter was surprised and looked at Arima "What's wrong?" The latter asked when he felt her stare

"Nothing, but…" Lanya shook her head "Usually you teleport to everyplace you want to go" She said

Arima smiled "What? Do you prefer that I transfer us there directly?" He asked

Lanya shook her head and smiled sweetly "No, I was just surprised" She responded and cheerfully walked along with him.

On their walk, they stopped at some shops, Lanya would stop to observe clothes and jewelries, but also sometimes she stopped to look at the weapons shop, although she knew that the rapier Arima had given her was most likely the best sword she could ever find. Even more when it was a soul weapon.

On the other side, Arima observed her and followed her calmly, without being impatient at all. He also, bought every kind of sweet that caught his attention and gave some to Lanya.

The latter seemed to enjoy this moment a lot, although she wasn't that much of a talker, she still expressed her joy easily.

When the two pa.s.sed by a precious-stone showcase, Arima suddenly thought of something. He took out a huge boulder from his storage and made it appear on the streets. The sudden appearance of the rock, surprised everyone around here.

Arima quickly called Karma and cut the boulder into a lot of different pieces which he then stored.

"That was the trinite, right?" Lanya inquired.

"Yeah" Arima nodded and made appear of piece of trinite in his hand "[Verto]" He chanted and Karma started changing form, it became smaller and smaller, and in the end, became a dark red carving knife.

At the same time, Arima's sigil revolved and a black flame started burning the stone. It became a sort of soft substance. Arima used his knife to change its form, first, he changed it into a circle, then some former some big oval parts on certain point of the circle.

Lanya looked curiously. Arima then started refining with gravures, it soon became a beautiful stone necklace that had some really pretty gravures. After that, Arima took out some mithril and mixed it with the stone necklace, it gained a metallic allure and the oval parts became silver. Arima then took out some orichalc.u.m and this time, the necklace started s.h.i.+ning and the silver parts became beautiful blue jewels.

And finally, the last thing, Arima returned Karma to its original form, and on the blade, you could see something like a red drop forming on the edge, the drop slowly slipped all the way down to the tip of the blade, and fell down on the necklace, making the jewels turn purple.

When this was finished, Arima took the magnificent ornament in his hand and closed his eyes, the necklace transformed into a ray of light that flew toward Lanya's chest and entered the latter's body.

She widened her eyes and then raised her hand, a purple light flashed and the same necklace reappeared in her hand. She raised her head to look at Arima who was smiling.

"That's the strongest necklace you'll ever find, that's for sure" He said laughingly. He used the strongest stone, two different metals and finally a 'drop' from Karma. Additionally, it was bounded to Lanya's soul.

Lanya looked in shock at the necklace in her hand, it was beautiful and at the same time, she could feel the tremendous power it held "It's for me?" She finally asked.

Arima smiled "Of course, I wouldn't make a necklace like that for myself" He said "Let me help you" He took the necklace and went behind Lanya to put it around her neck. Lanya didn't move at all, not that she was calm, but more likely because she was so fl.u.s.tered that she couldn't move.

"It's done, let's go" When Arima finished, Lanya breathed out then looked at the pendant on her neck, she beamed a smile and followed Arima who went a bit ahead.

Meanwhile, Night was being dragged everywhere by Lilis, like some pet. In the end, he gave up and just jumped on her shoulder.

"By the way, Night" Lilis called to him while they were eating at some restaurant.

"What is it?" Night looked at her and said.

"Are you ready to follow Arima everywhere?" Lilis asked

"Ah?" Night was surprised and exclaimed "What stupid question is that? Of course, I would follow him. Even if I have to die" He said with utmost sincerity.

Lilis smiled wryly "Well, that's the problem" She said "Night, your existence is really important, you represent the biggest strength of Arima. But you are a living being, and you can die, if it happens, Arima will lose at least half of his full power" She explained to him.

"What do you mean?" Night frowned and asked, he wasn't liking where this conversation was going.

Lilis took Night out of her shoulder and put him on the table right in front of her "If Heaven really attacks Arima at some point, then the first one they'll try to eliminate is you" She said seriously and Night's expression darkened "Because they know that a soul beast represents at least fifty percent of a human's power, if they can get rid of that threat, then they would be more at ease when confronting a Life Hunter" She said

Night fell silent and gritted his teeth "…Why are you telling me that now? It's not like you telling me, will help me survive" He asked

Lilis sighed and smiled one more time, but that smile was one that carried something different "The reason I'm telling you this, is because I want to prepare you" She said

"Prepare me?" Night asked with dubious expression.

"Listen, I will tell you what is the most terrifying thing about Life Hunters and why they are so feared by G.o.ds" She said and Night's eyes narrowed "I need you to keep it from Arima, I cut every telepathic connection you have with him for now. After that, it's you to keep it secret" She sternly said

Night didn't say anything for a while before nodding "Tell me, I accept"

Back with our blooming couple (*laugh*), they had arrived at a total new area of the city. The streets and habitations disappeared, it was just a giant plaza filled with people. There was activity bustling everywhere.

Arima made his way through the crowd with Lanya by scaring a bit the people with his aura, and those who dared to have some thoughts about Lanya instantly fainted. Ultimately, everyone pa.s.sed the word, 'don't approach that guy'.

"Apparently, this place is a kind of public sharing zone, you come here and you can buy and sell anything you want, some people come here to spectate some shows and to meet people" Arima said to Lanya when they gained some peace.

Lanya's eyes brightened and started to wander around the place. She pa.s.sed by some stalls and observed them, she stopped at one of them and took a small pendant which depicted some really pretty dragon wings.

"Can I get this for master?" She turned toward Arima asked

Arima smiled and shrugged "Do what you want" He said. Lanya nodded and bought the pendant from the seller, it apparently cost a s.h.i.+ning silver.

A few minutes later, while Arima and Lanya were walking and discussing together, they heard a loud sound spreading in the entire plaza. When they looked at where it was coming from, they saw a huge and flashy carriage that was surrounded by a gathering of people.

That carriage was around a kilometer away from Arima, but the latter observed the carriage like it was natural. He then saw a family crest on the carriage "(That emblem, if I'm not wrong, it's this city's…)" Arima's thoughts were interrupted by the sudden burst of numerous auras in the crowd, that were mixed with some killing intent toward the carriage.

Watching this scene, Arima grinned "Well, isn't that an interesting thing?"
