19 ''It Worked…''

"Free City, huh?" Arima mumbled. He looked toward Elia "Niria can find me a smithy, right?" He asked

"Yes, of course, but she already left" She said

"That's not a problem" Arima said. He sat on a couch and closed his eyes "Don't disturb me for a moment. [Revelare caelum et terram], [Index Mundo]" He cast 'World index', his spirit and mana spread on the whole continent. Lifa and Elia who were in the same room wavered, and almost fell on the ground. The amount of spirit created by Arima was monstrous.

One more time, everyone felt a magnitude of strength, they had never seen before, scan them. All of those who felt the previous clash between Jorga and Arima were wondering what the h.e.l.l was going on today. Particularly the elven king, this time he felt it in his own mansion and was shocked. Jorga also felt it, he glanced at the direction of the town and returned to rest soon after, he knew Arima just used a detection magic.

At that moment, the wave of spirit stopped, and Arima opened his eyes. He rubbed his temples a bit "Found her" And said

When Elia heard him, she felt extremely incredulous, she then realized that no one on this continent could ever be able to hide from him if they wanted.

"I'll go immediately, there's a magic I want to test for that. Night" Arima called Night and the latter stood up and came to his side "You're going to try that?" He asked and Arima nodded.

"What is it?" Lifa asked

"A displacement magic" Night said in the stead of Arima because the latter was already focused on his magic. An azure circle formed at his feet and surrounded both him and Night.

"[Atlantis]" Arima chanted and the circle produced a vortex of azure water which shrouded the two "Later" From inside Arima said, then the circle and the vortex shrank until it disappeared with Arima and Night.

At this exact moment, a tall and good-looking elf barged in the room, it was the king, when he saw there was only Elia and Lifa, he panicked a bit "Elia! Was the human you welcomed, the man who fought with Master Jorga?" He asked

"Father. Yes, it's him" She said

Although he already expected it, he his eyes narrowed, when he realized such a powerhouse visited his daughters in his own mansion, he felt frustrated "Where is he now?" He asked

"He left for the Free City" Lifa said. Her father turned toward her "Why did he clash with Master Jorga?"

Lifa shook her head "I'm not sure myself, they clashed for a few minutes and after that, they looked like they were best friends" She said bitterly

The King lowered his head and acquiesced "I see, if he ever comes back, tell me" He instructed and turned around to leave "Father, wait" But Elia stopped him

"What is it?" He asked

"There's something I need to talk with you about, that's something that human brought to the table" She said

The King frowned "Say it" And he listened to her daughter.

In a carriage, outside of the forest, Niria was heading to the Free City. She was talking with her guard about the spirit wave they just felt.

"Alex, who do you think was that? That old serpent?" Niria asked her guard, Alex.

The latter pondered for a second "No" He said shortly.

"Then, who? I don't think anyone else could do-" She stopped because she felt a strange magic fluctuation and she looked outside by the window of the carriage, which was pulled by strange creatures that looked like a mapinguari. She saw a strange azure whirlpool form in the path of her carriage, from inside, Arima and Night walked out.

Niria was still trying to comprehend what just happened but Alex beside her wasn't surprised "He did it" He said. The sudden words of Alex surprised her but she wouldn't dare to say anything to contradict, after all, he was one of the strongest individuals of the Alliance, the irony is that he decided to be a guard for Niria.

"Hey there" Arima smiled, he was happy to have succeeded on his first try. Of course, that magic was without danger when well controlled but the problem is the destination, which one needs to be familiar with, but his detection magic was enough to compensate for it.

On the other side, Niria felt like she underestimated this human unfairly and she was a bit angry with herself "Do you have something to ask me?" She asked gently

"Yeah, it's not a big thing" Arima said

"It's fine by me, you can ask what you want as long it's not exaggerated, you can get in to talk while we head to the city" She said

Arima entered the carriage and sat down next to Alex and Niria was in front. There wasn't s.p.a.ce for Night so the latter jumped on the top of the cart and laid down.

"So, what did you want to ask?"

"I'd just want to reserve a smithy in the Free City for a week if possible" Arima said

"Smithy? Right, you said you wanted mithril and adamant.i.te from the elves, that means you got it then" Niria said

"Yes, so can you do it when we arrive?" Arima asked

"Yes, it's a small thing, I can do it for you in half an hour after arriving" Niria said "But I'd want you to do something for me"

"Mh? What?"

"I want you to give me the Pope alive" She said grimly

Arima widened his eyes a bit, it was unexpected "That shouldn't be a problem, if that's all you want, I can do it" He didn't ask why she wanted that.

"Thank you, then I'll prepare what you want when we arrive" She said

"Ok, but I'm quite hurried so we'll do it this way" Arima said. A magic circle already encompa.s.sed the carriage and an azure vortex surrounded it "[Atlantis]"

"That's..." Niria was curious and looked at it from the window, from inside the vortex, even if you looked at the sky, you could only see an azure whirlpool "That's impressive, is that a teleportation magic?" She asked

"No, it's more like a s.p.a.ce transportation, a wormhole. Well you probably don't know about it so you can think what you want" Arima answered "By the way, we arrived" He said

"What?" Elia was caught off guard. She didn't feel any change in her environment but when the azure wall disappeared, she was shocked to see the City in the distance. Even Alex reacted and his eyes narrowed.

"If it's okay I would like to begin to work soon" Arima said to haste them.

"Yes, of course" Elia rushed the mapinguari-like creatures and entered the city. This city was even bigger than the capital of Terses. The streets and the buildings also looked more modern and refined. Maybe because there were a lot of people with different skill sets. On the streets, there were elves, therianthropes, dwarves, pixies and a few members of the demon race.

The carriage pa.s.sed in the streets with Night on its roof, which produced a strange situation where people would point at him, laugh or mumble.

When they arrived at the castle of the city, Niria invited Arima in and gave him access to its smithy in no time.

"Thanks" Arima looked at the smithy with all the tools, the stove, and the anvil and thanked Alex for bringing him here.

"No problem" Alex said shortly and left

Arima cracked his whole body and took off his coat "Let's go. Night, for mithril I won't need your help, but for adamant.i.te, your flame will be helpful" He said to Night who was with him "Sure" the latter said.

******************************

The next day, Arima sat cross-legged and a silver sphere was glowing in front of him, inside were different small mithril components like a slide, a trigger, a magazine, and the frame of a big caliber handgun which looked a bit like a 44 magnum.

Arima let out a breath and the glowing sphere descended on the floor, with all that was inside. Mithril can only be influenced by magic and to effectively use it, one needs to have a great control.

"I got the hang of it" Arima said and looked at the parts on the floor. Arima was, of course, trying to recreate firearms in this world. Even if this world has magic, even swords can be powerful, so what if someone combined the deadliest weapon ever made by humans with magic, what would be the result?

In Arima's world, guns were greatly advanced, even though the frame didn't change much, and the bullets were still physical, there wasn't any casing or gunpowder with primer. It only needed a certain type of energy which we charged the gun with, and the precision and recoil control became extremely better.

The only reason why Arima decided to create guns was that of the possibility to fabricate a rail gun which could also be called a plasma gun. With Arima's lightning, it could become an extremely deadly weapon. So, he chose to create the frame of a gun with mithril and make the barrel with adamant.i.te to be able to use a strong detonation to fire the bullets which are also made of adamant.i.te, a heavy and solid metal.

Arima planned to make a handgun and heavy sniper rifle. He began with the handgun.

Arima took out more mithril and began to make the frame and components of the rifle.

"By the way, I wanted to ask you, why do you help this country that much?" While Arima was working, Night asked.

Arima kept looking at the big silver sphere in front of him "Because I want to" He said.

"Well, I kind of expected that" Night said helplessly.

The next day, Arima finished the frame of the rifle and asked Night to help him in the melting of the adamant.i.te, to begin the forging of the barrels. This time Arima needed to work on it with a hammer to temper it and turn it into a cylinder. And then, he created a drill made of mithril and reamed the newly created cylinder and rifled it too. He used the remaining melted metal to create bullets of which he already made the molds. He made this in two days.

The fifth day, Arima a.s.sembled the guns and ended up with a big sniper rifle which had a large cylinder barrel in a rectangular frame (Like a barrel in a barrel) and a handgun which looked more like a hand cannon.

The sixth day, Arima enchanted those weapons with the detonation magic that activates when the trigger is pressed. He also created a scope and enchanted it to improve it.

The seventh day, Arima was looking at the two finished guns in front of him.

"What are you looking at?" Night asked

"I was wondering if could bind those to my soul" Arima said

"Bind? Like your sword?"

"Yeah. Well, for now, I'll try to do it" He put his hand on the handgun and closed his eyes. He already had a soul weapon and a soul beast so it would be strange if he didn't understand a thing about the soul. Ten minutes later, a fourth of the gun became translucid and only after another thirty minutes did the gun vanish and became bounded to his soul.

Arima sighed "Forty minutes. That G.o.d did it in a second with Karma" He looked at the rifle this time and did the same thing, this time it took two hours. And now he was looking at a gun magazine in his hand, loaded with adamant.i.te bullets.

He blinked and started to bind it to his soul and finished after twenty minutes.

"It worked…" Arima said. If binding the magazine along with the bullets works then that means he could get back the bullets he fires and repair them in his soul indefinitely, and of course, they will also become stronger. Then he bound the rest of the magazines he created.

"[Ira]" After that, Arima called, and his handgun appeared in his hand. The two guns were called 'Ira' and 'Superbia', meaning 'anger' and 'pride' respectively.

Arima loaded Ira and aimed at the one-meter thick adamant.i.te plate, he fired without using plasma, a deafening sound resounded in the room and a bullet pierced through the plate and dug into the wall of the smithy. The noise jolted Night awake at the same time "Huh? What's going on?"

Arima looked at the hole in the plate "That was stronger than I thought it would be" He said. It had to be said that adamant.i.te was one of the toughest metals in this world and he just used the lowest force his handgun could deliver.

"It's over?" Night asked and yawned.

"Yeah, let's go, I'll try Superbia later" Arima said, he took his coat and opened the door.

"Let's go where? I forgot what we were supposed to do" Night, who was still half asleep, followed.
