102 ''Show Me What You Can Do''

Arima hinted Lanya and she nodded. She activated her inheritance and used her draconic form. Gaodu looked in awe at Lanya who had changed so beautifully "Spar with him while sending your inheritance's aura at him, as much as you can. You also can be a bit rough but not much" Arima instructed and Lanya complied.

"Let's go" She said and released her aura. Gaodu was suddenly crushed by the aura but he stood firm on the ground and used Spirit magic to counter-attack.

Arima smiled then went toward Isla "While he is awakening his inheritance, you won't be able to train your teamwork but you'll do something else meanwhile" Arima said and took out a thin book "Here, take this and learn it. It isn't in the general books I gave you, so it's basically a secret one"

Isla took it "What kind of technique is it?" She asked as she opened the book. Arima smiled and just let her understand by just reading it. Thirty seconds later, her expression was a lot different, mixed with shock and excitement but she also was pondering seriously.

"I think you can do it. You have an impressive imagination and your affinity with water is really good. For now, I'll let you train alone. If you want me to give a demonstration, just ask" Arima said then left. Isla grinned and water already had started gathering around her.

Next, it was the princesses' turn but Arima just observed them as they flew around in the sky, fighting their clones. He shrugged and judged that they didn't need him to develop their teamwork. So, he went to the last pair, Balan and Melody.

"Balan, you take this" Arima threw two books similar to the one he gave to Isla "They are the fifth arts of the Destruction and White category" Arima explained but Balan was just confused as he didn't know about the Kind Demon's arts.

"And this is for you" Arima threw another book to Melody and she caught it. She looked at it and the beautiful green deer beside her also bent his neck to look at it "The second Destruction art. If you learn this magic even by just a little, your proficiency with gravity will increase by a lot" Arima just said before going away.

The two students then looked at the books' contents and their thought process stopped for a moment before going wild instantly.

Arima then went to the groups of ten students. He gathered them all in front of him then his sigil revolved and his spirit spread around. Each student received a telepathic link which transmitted them a certain information in one go. That information was how to create a telepathic link between ten people.

"Learn how to easily create that link, when you fight with ten people, the things you need to improve before everything else are communication and teamwork, the individual strength comes after" Arima said and snapped his fingers. Books appeared in the hands of everyone "That's the fifth White art. One of my magic, with this you can share mana and even absorb more, when it's needed, from the environment. For example, when eight people are fighting, two can gather mana silently and share it with the others" Arima explained and his students were enlightened.

"Now," Arima jumped and stepped in midair. He sat down there and casually looked down "I'll observe, show me what you can do" He declared with a voice that reached every student.

Far away, Ferzia was swinging her greatsword at Arister and kept creating numerous craters around the canyon. Arister was simply smiling and deviating the sword barehanded most of the time.

Of course, the point of this training was to raise Ferzia's awareness in a fight. So, he often created clones with darkness magic and made them attack from different angles.

After an hour or so of training, Ferzia suddenly turned around while she was facing Arister and destroyed a clone that was approaching her.

"Ooh" Arister exclaimed in surprise and avoided the next strikes of Ferzia. His eyes also glowed a bit and numerous clones sneakily formed at different places around them. The first clone attacked but was destroyed before he could even touch Ferzia. The second one suffered the same fate and the exact same thing happened to ten more clones.

Arister snickered and gripped Ferzia's sword with one hand and the two stopped moving for a moment "You learn pretty quick" Arister said and Ferzia smiled.

"Thank you for that" She responded and attacked Arister with lightning. The latter laughed and jumped back by a few hundred meters. Ferzia kicked the ground, her speed was really high with her resonance.

Arister just shrugged and waited. A second after Ferzia started sprinting toward Arister, a dark explosion occurred under her feet. She jumped back and looked to the front with narrowed eyes.

"It's time for the next level then" Arister declared and waved his fingers.

At the same time, Irian was furiously fighting in close quarters with Karma "You lack precision" She said and gracefully avoided his attacks with her footwork. She then jumped slightly then kicked Irian. He flew away for a few hundred meters and landed with difficulty.

"You are too impulsive" Karma smiled and commented "You should learn to take things more slowly. From now on," She bent her body a bit "You are on the defensive" She kicked the ground and arrived in front of Irian in the next second.

She restrained herself and started kicking him with combos. When it wasn't with a sword, Arima's strongest close combat techniques were kicks, and it was the same for Karma.

Irian fell under a barrage of strikes and tried to parry her but failed most of the time. In the end, he was forced to concentrate on defense instead of attack. Karma was satisfied and raised her pace.

"What should I do, Sir Night" Kine smiled and asked. Night looked back at her with a tired expression. He then sighed and sharpened his look.

"First of all, show me your killing intent" He instructed and Kine nodded. A cold light flashed past her eyes and her killing intent was released in the air. It was shockingly strong for someone of her age. Even Night raised an eyebrow when he felt it.

"As expected, to develop signs of the Blood Eater, you already killed many people" He said and Kine retracted her intent.

She smiled wryly "Come on, it sounds like I am a bad person. I didn't kill people that didn't deserve it"

"I know" Night instantly responded and it surprised Kine a bit "If you were some kind of psychopath killer, Arima would have already separated your head from the rest of your body. Without any second thought"

Kine's expression darkened as she was a bit scared. n.o.body would feel safe if someone talked about your death. Even more when she met the person who could have killed her.

"Anyway, to master your blood aura, you don't need to drink more blood. For now, I'll just train your killing intent and resistance to it" Night said and as he transformed back into a dragon.

Kine admired the jet-black dragon and gulped "Let's go, if you give me enough results, maybe I'll give a drop of my blood" Night smirked and released a tenth of his killing intent "Well, if you were to drink even just one drop of Arima's blood, maybe you would even raise by two levels in one go"

Kine listened as she did her best to not fall on her knees and faint. She also was doing her best to resist the fear she was feeling from Night. That simple thing already was beginning to drag out the blood aura.

Night spread his wings and the wind blew "Come on, try to attack me. The best remedy to fear is to attack the source" He said.

Kine took out two daggers and kicked the ground in Night's direction.

Airon was fighting with Chulainn with a scimitar and he kept using darkness magic as the latter instructed. Chulainn was casually deviating and parring the scimitar with his tail and was concentrating on a.n.a.lyzing the kid's magic.

The way Airon used darkness magic wasn't stupid, it was actually very smart and Chulainn silently praised him. Although he wasn't specialized in darkness magic, he was Kerberos, the h.e.l.lhound. He lived thousands of years and dwelled in a place filled with darkness. He could easily teach that magic to a kid who wasn't even eighteen years old.

Back to Airon, the way he used darkness magic was basically like this: First, he wasn't the type to fight in darkness. Most users of that magic would prefer night time to exhibit their power. But Airon was different, he was strong during the night, but he was even stronger during the day. His magic theory was how the darkness hides in the light. And he mainly used the shadows of the enemy.

For example, sometimes, the opponent could make a move where his shadow would be in Airon's sight then the latter would step in it, literally. He would infiltrate the shadow and then attack the man. From every possible angle if he wanted to.

In the end, a clear shadow is only available during the day and that's why Airon is stronger like that. He would also hide many magic traps with darkness magic, a bit like Arister did with Ferzia.

Chulainn would step on those traps from time to time, not because he didn't see them, but because he wanted to see its power. And he had to admit that if Airon was fighting someone of the same level, the other party wouldn't be able to detect those traps.

"I see" Chulainn muttered and then pushed Airon away with his tail "You use darkness magic pretty well. Usually, most of the people with that affinity would become someone sneaky, an a.s.sa.s.sin most of the times" He started talking.

"But you are not suited to be an a.s.sa.s.sin, to be exact you use an a.s.sa.s.sin's techniques to fight head-on with an opponent. It's an interesting way of doing things, but you're doing some things wrong" Chulainn declared.

"But first, let's resolve your biggest problem. With your fighting style, you just use darkness as a mean to disturb your opponent or to move around him with the shadow. You actually don't use darkness to really attack, even your traps don't make much damage. You most likely think that you can't do much damage with darkness, you are self-restraining yourself"

"So," As Chulainn was talking, darkness gathered around him "Although I'm not darkness specialized, I still can use it. I'll show you how darkness can be strong to attack. You'll feel it with your own body and it should change your point of view" The h.e.l.lhound said and Airon was suddenly surrounded by darkness.

Lanya was wielding her rapier and destroying every spirit magic that Gaodu was throwing at her. She also continued to release her aura as much as possible.

Gaodu was doing his best while under the pressure, but he felt like he would faint soon. He only could gather Spirits to attack Lanya. At some point, Lanya propelled herself with her wings and appeared beside Gaodu before striking him with a palm combined with light.

Gaodu took the full blow and crashed a few hundreds of meters away. When Lanya saw that he wouldn't get up, she panicked a bit and tried to see if he was okay but Arima sent a wave of spirit to stop her.

Lanya looked up and saw Arima nonchalantly sitting in mid-air while observing Gaodu. The latter's body started glowing with a pink light and that same light transformed into some kind of gas which spread around. Arima frowned and then dispersed that gas with the wind.

When Arima saw Gaodu's appearance, he smiled. He had a totally new attire which looked like a traditional robe. Along with those blue clothes, he also held a small gourd in one hand. His eyes were also a lot different from before, they seemed to reflect amus.e.m.e.nt. He reached for his ground and took a sip of the content and smiled just after.

Arima squinted his eyes, he observed the drawings on the robe and then guessed the G.o.d from which this inheritance came from "Dionysus, huh?" He muttered.
