Then, Ai pointed her fingers to whatever seemed like a path that drifted into darkness and suggested that Tatsuro.

"Yes. Apparently walking on this road down the river seems to lead to a town of some sorts called Obsul."

"Hm. By the way, how much time would it take for us to get to Obsul?"

"Ah... apparently it takes three days on foot..."

"THREE DAYS???"

"Yeah, it's two days walking along the river and one more day to get to the town."

Both of them looked at each other with some stressed facial expression. To make two modern kids walk for three straight days with little food, this is a natural reaction. But there was a bright topic. Tatsuro tried to change the tense atmosphere and quickly took out his hand.

Then he was caught in a mysterious, but unbelievable feeling that had somehow changed him.

"What's happening?"

While tilting his head and wondering how to describe it to Ai, the feeling left Tatsuro. It wasn't a particularly bad feeling, so Tatsuro just said it was "nothing."

Then after some time to think of what happened, he decided to continue and select "Darkness Magic Lv. 1," this time costing 22 SP. If he took light and darkness later, the worst-case scenario, the magics would cost him 132 SP to obtain and this made him a bit relieved.

At this point, he wondered if that strange feeling would come again, but this time there was nothing in particular.

After that, he acquired fire, water, life, and earth as planned with 11 SP remaining.

"Okay, this should do it."

"I can finally see magic!"

While holding back their urge to departure, Tatusuro first checked his stats to make sure that he was getting the correct things.

Saying so, Tatsuro kept a little distance from Ai. He searched how to use the magic with 'help' first so that he doesn't disappoint his girlfriend. Tatsuro was so impressed that he couldn't even reply to Ai. He kept thinking about how amazing that he was the one who created this ball of light. The sensation of magic around his body, the sensation of something being released, and the way it is formed. Everything feels so fresh and inexhaustible.

It was like a feeling of having a new sixth sense.

Then, in this moment of immersed excitement, he continued on without forgetting this feeling and took on the skills of darkness, fire, water, life, and earth, one after another, emitting each magic.

But, how to change and use these magics...

Apparently, it appeared as a sphere of that attribute on the palm of his hand. Although it was very fun and exciting for the person using the magic, Ai, who was just seeing a ball change colour, quickly became less intrigued. It seemed to be no more than just a colour-changing lightbulb.

"Hey Tatsuro, is there anything else?"

"Eh? anything else? Oh, my bad. I feel like I will be able to catch something in just a little bit. Please just bear with me for a bit more."

"Sure, if you say so, I'll wait. But just saying that we should get going or else we'll just always be in a forest."

"Right! You're right."

At last, he finally remembered that they were in a forest, so he wrapped up his practice, and they started walking downstream.
