11 Chapter 11: Mother Daughter Talk

"Has Lisa been very behaved?" Momma asks Rose as she smiles at my mother pretending to be innocent, her eyes gleaming with good behavior. "Lisa has been a very good girl, Miss. She's very friendly towards the males in the school though."

"Oh good. Thank you for looking after my daughter. You are such a responsible angel." Momma smiles at her. Making me cringe. The fact that she thinks Rose is an angel is so wrong.

"Of course! My pleasure! My halo glows brighter when I help people!" Rose innocently shakes my momma's hand.

"I see horns instead of a halo" I roll my eyes. Rose looks at me and muttered something under her breath before looking to my mothers.

"I'll go set up dinner." Mom stands up to go to the kitchen leaving me, Rose and Momma.

"How's school? Are you studying well?" Momma asks me. Typical parent questions.

Let's see what happened to me... Got chased around by multiple boys like a zombie infection due to a pheromone perfume, Almost got seduced by a princ.i.p.al, Mistaken as a gay couple, got dragged into a meet up I did not want to go to, Almost got raped before Charles saved me... Well better not say any of those.

"I've been doing fine! Just been at the dorm, nothing too big happened." I smile at my momma.

"That's good. Come over here from time to time sweetie. I would love to see you more okay?" Momma hugs me.

"Momma! I'm a grown woman. I'm already in college." I blush in embarra.s.sment as I push away her hug.

"But you are still my baby sweetie!" She hugs me again, making me look at Rose in embarra.s.sment.

"You're lucky you have parents that care for you, Lisa!" Rose chuckles.

"Come here Rose! I treat you as my daughter too!" Momma tightly hugs both of us. I cringe at the sight of it as Rose's heart fluttered in joy.

Rose's father and mother rarely cared about her because they were so busy with their work. That's why she became a total s.l.u.t. Even though she was a bit crazy I still treated her like my sibling. She has a good heart.

"Come on guys! Dinner is done!" Mom comes to the room as she invited us all to the dining room. As we break apart from our hug.

"I'll go over to the bathroom real quick." Rose tears up running to the bathroom. I look at mothers in concern, they caught on and simply nodded to go see her. I run after her in the bathroom and hugged her.

"Are you okay?" I hug her tight as she starts to tear up. "You are just so lucky to have people there for you... I have a mother and a father but both of them rarely care about me." She hugs me back as tears drop down from her face.

They were always hard on Rose. Growing up I always see how they were to Rose.

I was pa.s.sing by to see Rose. I hear screaming over to her house so I walked to the window beside her house hearing their conversation.

"Why are you with that gay couple? They are f.u.c.king sinful!" Rose's Mother muttered as I listened to the window.

"But they are really nice to me! They even cooked me dinner." Rose answered back to them.

"So are you gay now? Is that it? It should only be a man and a woman. Both women raising a child together is ridiculous! Their child is just gonna grow gay like they are" Her mom's angry tone stabbed daggers into Rose.

As I start to tear up to what her mother said to my parents... My heart crushed I left.

I always look at the scars on her arms. The bluish bruises in her face. As she sits down at school alone. Feeling blue.

"Are you okay?" I offer her my hand.

"Thank you, Lisa. My mother... just beat me up again." She looks down as she rubbed her arms.

"What did your father say about this?!" I ask her deeply concerned.

"My father is rarely at home but it's not like he would care about what's happening to me."

The image of her crying faces flashes in my mind as I hugged her tighter. She's been through a lot.

"Listen. We're family. Okay. We love you! We'll always be there for you." I wipe away her tears as she smiled at me.

"Thank you. I'm truly at home with you and your mothers! You give me the love I never felt from my mother and father." She smiles at me.

We went out of the bathroom and started to happily eat our dinner. Rose was very happy being with us. She felt like she was in heaven and she had the mother-daughter talk she never had with her own mother.
