411 Wedding Nigh

Who'd waste their time drinking when their wife is waiting for them, right?

He got to their room and his wife was sitting with her veil still on.

My wife!

He smiled uncontrollably. He really thought she'd have thrown the veil and everything else on the floor by now and munching on the sweet bun on the table.

She did not?

He was surprised. He leaned on the door after locking the door and observed her. He couldn't see her face but her hands were twisting her sleeves and she was uncharacteristically quiet.

Have I gotten in the wrong room?

He chuckled.

Is she nervous?

Chenglei walked towards her and he could feel her beautiful fingers twisting out of nervousness.

How cute! Where is the one who told him that she wanted to ride him a week back?

Chenglei stood near her and lifted her veil and her blossom face came to his view. Her big eyes looked at him with her eyelashes fluttering like a b.u.t.terfly's wings. The tip of her nose was slightly red and her slightly parted lips were bright red courtesy of the rouge. Her soft bun like cheeks were blushed red and so were her ears.

Is she being shy?

No matter how many times I look at you, I can never get used to your beauty, JiaXing!

"Let me remove the headdress", he said softly pinching her cheek. The groom is supposed to take the headdress off too.

Xing who was tongue-tied just nodded and Chenglei removed the hairpins in her hair one by one gently without pulling her hair.

He knew the way the headdress was placed on the table expresses how pleased the groom was with the bride.

Usually the groom won't meet the bride before the wedding and after the groom removes the veil if he is eased with his bride, he'd carefully remove the headdress and if he is not, he won't be that careful.

As for Chenglei who had planned everything for her, how would he not be pleased with the woman who ruled his heart sitting like an obedient little wife in front of him.

With great care he removed the headdress and placed it on the table. Her long jet black hair now fell freely on her shoulders and her back contrasting her porcelain skin.

Aww... How pretty!

Aren't I the most luckiest man in the world?

Xing in the other hand remembered the last time she was wearing a phoenix headdress and veil when she entered the palace. That day she threw the veil and the headdress and stomped in it.

Thank goodness I'm now married to Chenglei, she felt relieved with the gentle hands removing the headdress. His every move was so careful and gentle and she could feel his intent if not even inflicting a little pain on her.

"Like what you see, hubby?", Xing who had now got out of her bashfulness winked at him and that's when she took a good look at the man in front of her.

Usually Chenglei prefers to wear white or pale colours and this was the first time Xing saw him wearing red.

I'll be d.a.m.ned!. She thought. How could there be someone this handsome? And he is all mine.

Wait! Everyone saw him in this robes today...? Won't there be b.u.t.terflies flying around him after seeing him this handsome? What should I do?

"Like what you see, wifey?", Chenglei asked wriggling his eyebrows. He noticed she is not blus.h.i.+ng red anymore and there was another colour in her.

Yes, green! She is green with jealousy!

My little wifey what are you thinking?

"Red does not suit you", she lied through her teeth.

"I know", Chenglei sat beside her, "I have no intention of wearing red anymore", his fingers gently grazed on her earlobes and his gaze fixed on her.

He never liked bright colors anyway. Since this was his wedding he had to wear red.

He has no plans of marrying again. This life, she is going to be his only wife.

Did he actually say what I think he said?

Xing turned and looked at the eyes looking at her with gentleness and his green jade eyes looked pure and honest.

But... I cannot bear him a child. We haven't talked about it yet.

Before Xing framed her words to talk to him about it, Chenglei pinched her cheek with a bright smile. As always she was the one privy to this smile of his.

" You... Look breathtakingly astonis.h.i.+ng in red", he smooched her lips, " On the contrary, green does not look good on you", he chuckled.

It took a minute for Xing to figure out what he meant and she punched his arms playfully.

"You are more handsome than me, I agree", she puckered her lips.

"Haha", Chenglei could not help but chuckle and placed his forehead on hers, "Yes, I'm the handsome one and you are the pretty one. We are a match made in heaven. We are fated to be together" , his voice was deep and soothing to hear but what he said made Xing s.h.i.+ver lightly.

"How I wish that was true ", Xing almost said. It was because they are not destined, she and him have to suffer this much. She also wondered if she talked about the trials, he might be able to hear it. He cannot hear her confession of love, so could he hear about the trials?

But before she could say anything, her words were swallowed by Chenglei's kiss.

He is no fool! He saw the little swirling sadness in her eyes and he feared what she might say.

Xing felt the pa.s.sion and urgency in his kiss and decided not to ruin the mood of their wedding night by talking about complicated things.

They got disturbed, in the end... By Xing's growling stomach.

"You didn't eat anything?", Chenglei bit her lips as he let her go.

"No... I'm not supposed to", she was out of breath.

"Wait.... We must drink the wine first", he got up and poured the wine in the gourd as per tradition and they gulped the wine linking their arms.

After that custom was finished, Chenglei served her food and asked her to join him in the table.

"Help me undress", Xing could not carry that heavy dress anymore. Also she didn't want it to get ruined and she knew she cannot undress herself. She was dressed by four maids as it was that complicated to wear.

"Looks like my new wifey is.... hungry", Chenglei walked towards her with a pervy smile and his eyes were twinkling as he exuded the aura of a wolf in heat.

"I'll satisfy you", he grinned making Xing frown.

"I am hungry but not for you", Xing curled her lips and she could see his smile freeze.

"I'm hungry for sweet buns", she added making Chenglei sigh.

"Then ask your sweet buns to help you", he folded his arms and turned to show his back to her.

"Please... Chenglei...",she stomped her feet and pouted speaking in a childish voice.

Chenglei who was turned to the other side silently smiled but stood with his back straight.

"Hubby...."

"Hubby dear..."

Xing hugged his back and proceeded to plead him but he didn't budge.

" Then I'll call for Xiao Mei", Xing processed to walk towards h the door.

Ah! This woman! Running away on our wedding night!

He walked and wrapped his arms around her waist and gently bit her ear.

"I'll do it", he suckled her ear making her pause.

This guy!

Just then she could hear sword clas.h.i.+ng noises outside their Courtyard.

"Ah, they've started", Chenglei smiled as he swirled her around to make her fade her.

Xing could hear the Emperor's commanding voice to stand down but swords started to clash again.

"Is your brother trying to disturb the bridal chamber?", Xing asked chuckling.

How come it seems like he is failing to enter?

" But who dares to oppose the Emperor?"

Who is the one with the sword?

"Lin Mubai", Chenglei answered and seeing Xing's curious look, he added, "I told him that I'll talk to you on his behalf about his marriage with your maid if he doesn't allow the bridal chambers to be disturbed", Chenglei smirked.

"He is willing to oppose the Emperor for this?", Xing raised her eyebrows. "Not so smart, is he?", she wasn't that impressed.

" Smart? He might not be but he trusts me this much", Chenglei proceeded to remove her jewellery one by one.

"I know", Xing nodded. Lin Mubai is one of the most loyal person by Chenglei's side. He knows if his brother wolf told him he'll help him get his woman, he'll protect his life too. Even from the Emperor.

"Those two seem to be in love really and I think we should arrange their wedding", Xing said taking a deep breath as her dress was removed entirely and she felt light.

"Hmm", Chenglei placed her robes carefully on the side and looked at her standing just with her inner robes.

"Let's talk about that later", he pulled the chair for her to sit, "Let's eat", he urged her.

What's with her talking about others on our wedding night? Once she gets her stomach full, I have plans for other exercises to aide in digestion.

Xing could not eat much and stood up and wiped her face. Chenglei noticed her being so tired. Her eyes had become dull and she yawned seven times while she was eating.

He removed his robes and got to a comfortable clothing while Xing searched for night robes but she could not find any.

She looked at Chenglei and his expression said it all and she shook her head smiling.

I didn't want you to wear anything on our wedding night - his eyes were hungry.

"Come here", he patted the bed and Xing sat beside him and looked at him.

"Are you tired?", he asked tracing his thumb through her eyebrow.

"No", she refused but Xing's eyes closed itself by his gentle touch and she forced herself to wake up by shaking her head.

"Lie down", Chenglei said and he laid on the bed with his arms stretched and noticing Xing not lying, he urged her again.

"Come on!"

Xing placed her weary head on his arms, "We should follow the customs", she said yawning.

His arm wrapped around her waist and her face rested on his chest.

"We have consummated our marriage a long time ago, haven't we? This wedding is just for telling others", he said kissing the crown of her head.

He wanted to hold her too but she looked really tired and he didn't want her to get sick without proper rest.

Xing didn't answer him but tears welled up in her eyes, " How long were you planning for the wedding ?", she asked as she inched closer to him. His hear beat was rhythmic and comforting as usual.

"Not for long", he down played it even though he's been planning it for months.

"I... Chenglei... I'm....", Xing could not speak as she started sobbing.

This man! Her man! He always goes overboard for her. Every time, he is the one who gives more. No matter how she tries, she could never catch up to him.

He planned the perfect wedding for her and here he is, downplaying it. From asking her father to sending gifts, he did everything perfectly. And he gave her the perfect wedding any woman would ask for.

I really don't deserve you!

"Why are you crying? Are you hurt somewhere?", his voice was filled with concern for her.

"No... No....", she wiped her face and looked at him with a smile in her face, "I'm really happy that I get to marry you, Chenglei. I wouldn't want anything more in this life", she placed her hand on his cheek and with tears dripping down her face, she kissed him.

"You cry for everything, silly!", he wiped her face and kissed her head. He then got up to get her some water to drink but she pulled him at her and kissed him while loosening his robes as he fell on the bed.

Her hand played in his chest for sometime before leaving for his abdomen and South of it. His robes found its way to the floor along with hers and she seemed to not slow down.

"You sure? You don't want to rest?", he caught her hand now teasing his erection and asked her. He was ecstatic that she was in tears of joy for marrying him. He wanted to tell her that he loves her too but as usual he cannot speak a word.

But he wanted to express his love to her the only way they could for now. By making love.

JiaXing! I love you.

"Let's rest later", she straddled on his lap and pushed his thick length into her core wet with desire, directly and it went in upto the hilt.

A moan escaped her mouth as he sink into her and he held her waist to help her move.

"I love you, Chenglei. Always and forever! And thank you for marrying me even though you forgot me", she said before kissing him once again as her waist moved vertically in a rhythmic order.

What did you say?

He wanted to ask her but he got drawn to her kisses and the ecstacy he felt with him inside her.

Forgot her? She said something of the sort, right? Did I forget her?

He only heard the latter part of her confession and still couldn't hear her confession of love.

"Deeper", she urged him as he pushed her on the bed with him on the top and kissed her neck.

Well! I'll ask later.

He decided but little did he know his memory about that would be lost if he does not ask about it immediately.

And so he forgot!
