25 Chapter 20: Enchanting

He noticed some women wanting to talk to him. He immediately gave off a 'stay-the-f.u.c.k-away-from-me' kind of air. Quickly, the women all get the idea. Some seated not too near, but not too far either. Some just contented to look at his face from afar.

He found women troublesome, but not to the point of hating. Since growing up, he watched them schemed non-stop, desperately trying to get his attention.

At first, he obliged, but after a while, he had gotten bored. And now, he only found them annoying.

He sighed, and with a bored look, he glanced at an old man, sitting and sipping his wine at the corner of the room beside the curtain wall. His whole person gave off a cold unapproachable and intimidating air.

Luke Jansen, his grandfather.

They were supposed to meet his grandfather's investment consultant. He was surprised to find that the proud indifferent old man had someone he had considered highly.

In the past, all his unconventional and risky ideas and concepts were funded by his grandfather.

Azuela Cove was a new proposal that he wanted his grandfather to fund. Although the project was risky because the concept was unique in the market, he was confident that his grandfather would still support it, like any of his previous projects.

He was surprised when his grandfather said that he had to get a specific someone to be his consultant first before agreeing to fund the project.

He gulped down his drink and was about to go back beside his grandfather when out from the corner of his eyes, he noticed a glint, seemingly coming from a piece of jewelry.

He glanced in that direction, and his heart jolted – missing a beat.

He saw a young girl, about eighteen to twenty years old. Tall and alluring. She was somewhat uneasy and nervous, but still gave off an aura of aloofness and indifference.

He couldn't make out her face because of the distance and the dimly lit atmosphere, but he could tell that the girl was pretty.

He had his share of beautiful, s.e.xy women, but somehow there was something different about that pretty girl that his eyes just kept on following her.

She seemed to be looking for someone, and when the attendant guided her to a table. He was shocked as he s.p.a.ced out for a moment.

She's grandfather's consultant?!

He composed himself and slowly walked towards them. When their eyes met, his mind blanked out. It was a first that he saw such deep dark brown eyes.

He didn't know how long he blanked out. It was a good thing his body had a mind of its own and sat beside his grandfather. He sighed in relief when the girl didn't notice his odd behavior as she continuously stared at him.

He saw in her eyes admiration and excitement. Much to his surprise, he felt happy and thrilled. He stared intently at her, trying to take all the intricate soft details of her beauty.

Long, soft, and silky pastel, silver lavender colored hair. Thin small pinkish lips, makes you wonder what it would be like when kissed. Yet, what had him captivated was her pair of mesmerizing dark brown eyes. Her gaze was deep like it holds a century's worth of secrets.

The girl was more than pretty – she was enchanting.
