Chapter 219 Heart Ache Vii : Council Meeting 1

"Very well then, an alliance would do everyone some good. But if you want the Bediako coven to be a part of this council, I have two conditions one, the b.l.o.o.d.y Dhamphir Kael Cor can not be on the council. Everyone has noticed it, but no one is saying anything, so I'll say it for you. I don't know how you turned from a full vampire back to 'half a vampire', but it only means one thing, you're unworthy to be on this council since you're bloodline is not pure enough. And finally my final condition is the complete control of the red district, of course this option is up for negotiation. But! The first condition is not, in fact I demand that we don't just oust this half breed from this council, but also have him subjected to it's rules and direction, and give a more chat able ruler the mantle of ruling the city Ethernalia Leonis. A renaming is also in order."

No one said anything, we just sat there looking at him. I don't understand how someone could be so blind and unreasonable. I wonder if all members of the Bediako coven were like this. I really couldn't wrap my head around such 'prideful' and pompous character. Looking at him gave me a headache, so I just chose to ignore him.

"Well apart from the idiot here, is there anyone else who wants to add a condition or something." I asked the rest, not paying attention to incensed look on his face.

"Yes both the Zekeri and Hom'rugr bloodline coven have a condition, and it's directed at you lord Kael."

I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. I was apprehensive, because apart from Baeki, and Asha, this two women were the most scheming pair I've ever met in my life. Whenever they do decided to act, I couldn't help being worried because I didn't trust them, not one bit.

"We would like access to Ethernalia Leonis, we'll like to foster trade, giving your ores for technology and food since you guys have found a way around relying on blood. And finally we would like access to your school, we believe educating the young in the proper ways of the vampire race is key to a better future."

Well I couldn't find any hidden angle to this request of theirs, well not yet anyway, but I'm sure there's bound to be something s.h.i.+fty that would pop up later.

"First of all, trade is not a problem. Since the entrance to the pit is located in green district, it means every mined ire comes through your territory. I agree to a trade, but occasionally I would like for you to let my people mine the mineral mountain themselves, even if it's just for a day. Next as for the school, Asha had already thought of it. Children from all over the pit are welcome to come and learn in a conducive environment. And she wanted to invite teachers from each of the bloodline covens to focus on different subjects. But know this, Ethernalia Leonis does not teach vampiric supremacy or the benefits of how to be a good vampire. Our students are not just vampires, but also members of other races, especially the humans and werewolves that were left behind after the sacking of the guards tower. We'll teach to be better people, not better vampires, because life goes beyond just your race, but rather it's about who you are now, and who you would be in the future. And race does not play a factor in that, it never did for me, and it never will."

"Can you all here him! This half breed is a human lover! The people who tortured us for thousands of years, and he feeds them, clothes, them, houses them, and teach their children! You're a traitor to your race Kael Cor" The Bediako interim leader spoke out, slamming his hands on the table as he yelled his lungs out, saliva flying everywhere. Baeki had a rather dangerous look on her face as she narrowed her eyes. I couldn't help but shake my head, this guy really had no ides who's presence he was in. I was torn between letting him continue on his path of self destruction, or speak up so that the Bediako coven wouldn't have to replace and elder again in such a short span of time.

"first of all, I'm half vampire, second I don't give a s.h.i.+t what you think. I'll rule my city my own way, and if you have a problem with it, then I'll make sure the Bediako coven becomes history. Both your conditions are denied, well I don't really care about the allocation of territory, that's between you four. And as far removing from this Council goes...you're not strong enough for that! Ethernalia Leonis is open to anyone who wants to coaster peace and growth. People who are not blinded and led by the constraints of racial prejudice and abject stupidity. You can't harm me or my city, none of you can. And if you're not open to working together, then everyone can face his own home and take care of it. My city has a lot to offer, but nothing would be giving to people incapable of changing and growing. So let me ask this question and make as clear and as simple as possible. Everyone who's in favor of this council please raise your hand and say 'I'."

Everyone raised their hands up, well everyone except for the interim elder. I don't understand why he felt as if everyone here had to roll over for him. The Bediako coven did absolutely nothing and getting rid of the guards. Instead they just wanted to fight with me and everybody else. They sucked, ma.s.sively. The elder abruptly got up from his seat and glared at everyone around, and then said to us.

"You're all going to regret this."

Then he marched out, screaming and cursing on his way out. Baeki smiled and suddenly waved her hands backwards. I watched as air seemingly sliced off both his hands, and deposited them to the floor. He was about to scream when a cold voice spoke.

"If I hear your voice again I'll take both your legs too. Now pick your arms up, and get out of my house."

I tried my best. But he just couldn't take a hint. But I don't think Baeki realized that without arms, he couldn't pick anything up, much less the very same arms he needed to use in picking things up. Well maybe she knew, but she didn't just care. Either way I think the meeting was off to a good start, hopefully no arms are cut off again.
