A woman with a snake mask had her arm looped through the arm of a man with a fox mask. The other woman was wearing a cat mask and walked with a man wearing a bear mask. "My name is Serenus second ruler of this region. I hope to get along with our new neighbors." When the men heard the last part, they started imagining many things that weren't family-friendly. Chao giggled and urged her guests who were either struck with admiration, fear, or anger. "Please eat as much as you'd like. You may leave after mingling with us as well. If you find us to your fancy or you're concerned, you may stay the night here to discuss any matters further."

So with such an eccentric introduction, the ball officially began with music playing, games played, and various dealings.
