Xiulan replied to the email and added more instructions. Once she's done replying to necessary inquiries, she quickly alt-tabbed to Zhao Lingyu's profile page in her browser.

She already exerted a lot of effort removing the bugs this morning so she had a lot of extra time to procrastinate. Her procrastination went to stalking Hongqi's lovely ex-lover.

Due to Hongqi's insistence that they will never divorce, she suddenly got curious of Zhao Lingyu and how to get out of this marriage predicament. The woman is definetely pretty and hot. But according to some fans turned haters, her att.i.tude is very disgusting. 

"Wow, such heavy words to describe someone." Xiulan murmured while she reads the comments about Zhao Lingyu. 

Apparently, this woman is already married to a director and businessman in Hollywood, no children yet but they were together for so many years.

Currently, her husband's business is not doing well because of the new president in the US and the lack of creativity in his works. He had won one Grammy award before but it never happened again. 

According to fans turned haters, Zhao Lingyu didn't like it when fans would asked for autographs or pictures when she's out of an event. She scolds and berates fans when they try to fangirl over her when she's out partying with friends or when she's on a date with her husband.

This has caused her career to downfall, the haters claimed her to be an ungrateful b.i.t.c.h. Previous collaborations also hated her because of her primadonna att.i.tude. Right now, she's only modelling for expensive Chinese brands that are venturing in Hollywood. There's also an on-going rumor that she might divorce her husband soon and go back to China.

"Woah!" Xiulan was stunned by this news. "Oh my gos.h.!.+" She was speechless of this juicy rumor that she can only gasp.

Xiulan quickly sent a message to her big sister Nuo Shu if she could investigate Zhao Lingyu. Her big sister is the right person to contact for juicy information about celebrities.

After sending a message, she called Secretary Dandan to send her some doc.u.ments that she needs to review.

In 20 minutes, Secretary Dandan arrived with two file cases that contained important doc.u.ments. She was also sweating so much since she walked from the office carrying these heavy doc.u.ments.

"Dandan, have some water and rest first." Xiulan kindly gave her a gla.s.s of water.

"Boss, sorry I was late. The girls are currently in an uproar because of the morning news." Dandan heaved as she took the gla.s.s of water from her Boss Xiulan.

"Uproar? What is it about?" Xiulan questioned. She was so busy this morning that she didn't have time to look at the morning news.

"Han Pierre! That handsome heir of the Han family is back! My gos.h.!.+ He's so dreamy!" Secretary Dandan can't help but gushed over Pierre. When it comes to ultimate handsome visuals, Pierre would be the top tier and next to him will be Xing Hongqi. 

Any woman would love to be in his embrace. Just thinking about thoses.e.xy biceps and and sharp jawline, she wants to swoon for the whole day.

Xiulan judgingly looked at her secretary. This is the first time she saw Secretary Dandan to act like a teenager. She's not familiar of that Han Pierre but she knows about the notorious Han family. They are bad news according to her father.

She threw a small yellow face towel to Secretary Dandan before she carry the file cases. "Use that to wipe your sweat." She walked inside her room and opened the first filecase. She took the doc.u.ments with pink sticky notes attached to it. Pink sticky notes means it's a proposal doc.u.ments.

She was about to sit on the office chair when Secretary Dandan suddenly came inside her office.

"Oh my gos.h.!.+ Boss! Boss! Boss!" Secretary Dandan excitedly exclaimed and she can't even utter other words other than boss because of her excitement.

"Dandan, calm down. What's wrong?" Xiulan got nervous because of Dandan's actions.

"Boss!~~~~ Han Pierre!!! He's near our area!! Ahhh!!" Secretary Dandan squealed like there's no tomorrow. She already lost all her bashfulness and continued to shamelessly fangirl inside her boss' office.

Xiulan only watched her secretary in amus.e.m.e.nt. She flip the next page of the doc.u.ment she was browsing a while ago and didn't mind Dandan's over excitement anymore. 

"Boss! I need to hunt Han Pierre! He's just near UU center. I would like to excuse myself." Secretary Dandan shamelessly requested. Her eager eyes were staring her boss. This is a golden oppurtunity to see Han Pierre in flesh, she must use this chance!

Xiulan only swayed her hand and nodded. Dandan quickly left the penthouse and searched Han Pierre.

When the room is finally quiet again, Xiulan busied herself and engrossed her attention on the files. It was only 3 PM when she finished reviewing the files and wrote a report for revision. She was bored and she didn't feel like debugging more errors so she tried to look for things to work on.

She remembered that she still haven't completed Mystery Magic's fake video call interview. But she left the new sprites [2] and 3D models she created in her office and she doesn't have the energy to recreate it again using her PC. She was also lazy to visit her company just to get them.

Suddenly, she received a response from her big sister Nuo Shu. "Why are you investigating your husband's ex? Are you jealous? Hmmm? *snickering sticker*"

Xiulan rolled her eyes from her big sister's accusations. She quickly responded. "I wanted to help them get back together."

In just a second, her sister quickly replied. "Bulls.h.i.+t. I did that the same thing to my ex-husband and his lover. I am telling you, it's a bad idea! You will only suffer!"

Xiulan can't help but roll her eyes again. Her big sister Nuo Shu is so melodramatic. "Just kidding, I don't have a lot of time and energy to do something like that. I want to know more about her so I know who my enemies are."

"Aha! Clever. This is exciting. I will send them this midnight so you won't be able to sleep. LOL." Her sister evilly replied. 

She threw her phone on the table and sighed. She's so bored and for some reason she's not in the mood to do any work. Today is unreasonably very boring, dull and bothersome. What is happening to her? She used to be workaholic.

"Is this what they call burnout [3]?"
