In case someone tries to sing karaoke or have a screaming contest, she can completely hear all the noise from that floor.

"I thought you love me!" A woman's loud cry can be heard. 

Xiulan groggily stands up from the bed and opened the window to check what was happening. She looked like a gossiping auntie, ready to get some scoops.

The woman's voice was so loud and full of grievance. It made Xiulan curious. It's been a while since she saw a fight in public. 

A beautiful young lady with a large LV paper bag was seen crying and a man was kneeling in front of her. "You could have done better! Why her of all the women you can get!? Ahhhh! You are despicable!" The woman shouted again and she hit the kneeling man with the LV paper bag.

Xiulan frowned and took her time to grasp and understand what was happening. She tried to look for the other woman but she can't see anyone other than the Ling family employees who were trying to coax the poor pretty lady.

"I hate you! I hate you!" The pretty angry woman continues to hit the b.a.s.t.a.r.d. 

"That's right. Hit him until he's dead." Xiulan silently cheered. 

Xiulan yawned and stopped watching the drama outside. All her prayers are going towards the pretty lady. Xiulan deduced base on the woman's accusations, it seems that the b.a.s.t.a.r.d touched one of her dearest friends or an enemy. Overall, a tragic way to end a relations.h.i.+p.

She went to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. She needs to go outside to check the shops and act like she was a tourist.

Once she's done preparing, she only added a white coat to cover her boring black sweats.h.i.+rt and pants. It's almost 6pm anyway and it will get colder by night. It's November and it'll be winter soon.

When she arrived on the ground floor, the scandalous drama continued there and the employees were still coaxing the crying pretty lady.

"He bedded my cousin while he's married to me! This is insane!" the woman hysterically shouted and hugged the nearest person her hands could grasp. The cheating man beside her only pursed his pale lips.

Xiulan immediately searched for Yi Sha. Usually, the managers would pacify and control stuff like this.

When she finally spotted Yi Sha, the old head manager has an annoyed expression plastered on her face. It was obvious that she didn't like what was happening. 

The pretty woman continued broadcasting her suffering. "I booked this inn for us so we can have a special time together. But I can't believe he would dare to meet her here while we are having fun! Tell me, where's the harlot!?"

Xiulan quickly fled the place that even the staff didn't notice her going outside. She could still hear the woman even though she's outside already.

This will be a long night for head manager Yi Sha. Drama and commotion like this is very hard to resolve. Xiulan thought she should go back after three hours. Her plot to entrap Yi Sha will start tomorrow anyway. She'll let the old hag to have some time for today.

Xiulan went to some shops and boutiques first before she looks for a restaurant to have dinner.

Right now, she needs some extra clothes since she can't always wear sweats.h.i.+rts here. She must buy plain dresses. All the dresses she has in her luggage were too expensive to wear. Even though she's filthy rich, still expensive dresses were too wasteful to always wear and get it easily worn out.

After buying the necessary items, she went to look for a restaurant. She picked a famous local Sichuan shop that gained 10,000+ five stars reviews. The night is getting colder, so eating spicy food would be the best time.

Xiulan ate a lot that night and indeed the place deserved those five stars reviews. She added a review as well since she really liked the spicy soup in the noodles.

After eating a lot of spicy stuff. She went to the nearest convenience store to buy some sweet snacks and two one-liter bottles of purified water. The inn serves one pitch of water to every room but that's not enough since Xiulan drinks a lot of water.

While she walks back to the hotel, she called Hongqi to update him. Hongqi immediately answered the call like he had been waiting for it.

"Hmm? Did you have lunch already?" Hongqi didn't greet her again, rather he directly asked questions and muttered his honest thoughts.

"Yeah. I just ate a lot of spicy food. When you come here, I'll treat you some nice noodle soup." Xiulan smiled but then yawned so loudly. She just took a nap three hours ago, now she's getting sleepy again. It must be because she's super exhausted.

"That's a promise, alright? Hey. I want to video call." Hongqi quickly sent a video call request to his wife.

Xiulan, without thinking and remembering what just transpired before she took a nap, accepted his request.

Her phone displayed Hongqi's handsome face and sharp features. It seems that he was still in his office and there were talking men in the background noise.

"Are you in a meeting?" Xiulan curiously asked since she's hearing a lot of different voices arguing about stocks and finances.

"Yeah. Business talks and monthly reports meeting." Hongqi lazily muttered. He stands up from his seat and went outside to the hallway.

"Why did you leave the meeting?" Xiulan was surprised seeing him leave an important discussion.

"I want to talk to you in private. My employees were looking at me while I video call you. It was awkward."

Xiulan chuckled. "Why did you even want to video call?" Xiulan almost tripped on a stone since her attention was on the video call. She gasped loudly and then laugh loudly. 

Her bright smile caused Hongqi's heart to flutter. He wants to go where his wife right now! He can't leave this h.e.l.l hole yet since he still has a lot of important business deals to attend do.

"Hey! Be careful. Are you outside?" Hongqi didn't answer her question, instead, he asked her another. His worried, handsome face covered Xiulan's mobile screen.

"No, this is the comfort room!" Xiulan sarcastically answered and giggled like a little kid. "Can't you see the pavement? Does it look like I'm inside a building?"

"Sorry, love." Hongqi beamed at his wife's sarcastic remarks. Lately, she's being witty and tricky with her words. Before, she would talk to him with a monotonous and obedient tone. Now, she knows how to joke around.

"Do we really need to video call? I can't walk properly while my phone is facing me." Xiulan mumbles and tried to put her attention to the pavement. 

Hongqi only stared at his wife's reddish sweet lips and her youthful, pretty face. He was so entranced that he wasn't able to answer her question again.

"Hey! What are you gawking at? I'm asking you why the need for a video call? My hands are getting numb." She ranted and there was a split second that she pouted. Her arms were uncomfortable carrying her phone like this. She's like those vloggers that are always in front of their phones or cameras. 

"I just want to see your face. You're so pretty tonight." Hongqi, of course, won't forget to compliment his wife.

Xiulan narrowed her eyes at Hongqi and blurted. "Liar. I just ate very oily food and my face has gotten oily too. Is this pretty?" 

Xiulan felt like the oil from the food she ate went to her face. Her lips are oily too. It was unflattering for her. Whenever she remembers Hongqi's past women, she can't help but compare them to herself.

"Why would I lie though? What will I gain from that? I would love to kiss those oily lips." Hongqi was not even bashful from his words anymore. He's. .h.i.tting on with his own wife.

"Can you stop saying embarra.s.sing things? Oh my G.o.d." Now that she heard his sweet nothings again. She remembered their last conversation. He just muttered those three words awhile ago. d.a.m.n, her heart suddenly thumps widely again.

"I want to see you. I'll visit you there soon. Just wait for me." Hongqi hinted and watches his wife's reaction. 

Xiulan's small mouth turn to a large 'O' and the holes on her nose flared a little.

"No! No need for you to go here!" Xiulan didn't like the idea of Hongqi being here. It means that he will suck her dry here and they will just create s.e.xual noise in the Ling family inn. She doesn't want to display their affection too much, especially to a relative.

"Hehehe. You can't stop me, wife. Just be ready." Hongqi s.e.xily winked at her before he ended the video call.

Xiulan wanted to throw her phone out of irritation. "That pervert! So clingy!"

Xiulan stomped her feet for a few minutes and her face was really red. She was slightly angry but her worried feelings were more evident. She must solve this problem soon so she can escape from Hongqi's perverted plans.

When she came back to the inn, there were no commotions anymore. Rather, she saw how pale Yi Sha's face was. 

She went near Yi Sha and asked her worriedly. "Manager Yi Sha, what happened? You look pale."

Yi Sha was surprised a little that someone suddenly talked. Her head was full of worries. She quickly feigned her anxiety and plastered a business-like smile to Xiulan. "Good evening, Mrs. Xing. How may I help you? Have you had your dinner yet?"

Xiulan tried to read Yi Sha's face but the woman was so good in concealing her secrets. "Yeah. I strolled for a while and ate my lunch outside."

"Alright. Do you still want to use the hot springs? One hot spring is available right now." Yi Sha offered.

"No need for tonight. I may use it tomorrow night instead." Xiulan beamed. She may not see any faults from this woman's movements but her pale face awhile ago was already a give away that something's wrong.

"Okay. Please let us know if you need anything. Our receptionist's hotline is 24/7."

"Alright." Xiulan humbly smiled again before she left and went back to her room.

She will initiate her plans tomorrow and she hopes that the entrapment will be successful.
