Just like an enchanting dream, she stares at the cloudless sky outside. It was so blue and bright. It gave of a feeling of walking outside can make a person heavily sweat.

The living room has a huge window and since their suite is on the very top of the building. There are no other buildings to obstruct her view.

This type of sky, an azure, reminded of her childhood for some reason. Looking at it made her nostalgic and incredibly sleep. The same sky usually appears after lunch and it's during siesta [1].

Eventually the sandman put her into sleep and the past suddenly came back as a dream, a horrible dream.

The azure sky made the cla.s.sroom very bright and it caused the nursery students to be trapped in a sleeping chant except for one little girl.

That little girl only stared at the azure sky. With a cute frown plastered on her pet.i.te face, she innocently muttered "Ah... It looks like it's so hot outside."

Her brunette long locks were incredibly beautiful for a five years old kid. At such a young age, everyone can already describe her as pretty. Usually, kids are all considered cute but only few can be handsome or pretty.

"Lady Song, are you not sleepy?" her homeroom teacher, who was currently checking the quiz papers, peek at her and silently asked. The room lights are turned off since the kids are sleeping but because of the sunny weather, everything seems bright inside.

"Teacher Po, I can't sleep." She pouted and went back to reading an English children's book that her big sister Nuo Shu gave to her.

"Let me help you take a nap. You must have your afternoon naps so you can grow taller. Since you are really pretty, a tall height suits you." The homeroom teacher and insister. The teacher walked towards her and sat beside her. "Let me read you the book."

The little Xiulan obediently gave the book to her teacher and started listening intently to her soft voice. The teacher's English accent was not good but her voice was very warm and soft. The voice felt like she's being cradled to sleep. Eventually, little Xiulan fell asleep while hugging her teacher.

The teacher warmly smiled at the little lady of the Song family. She caressed Xiulan's head and silently muttered "I wish I can have a beautiful daughter like you."

During dismissal, Xiulan waited for her nanny to come pick her up. Her parents were very busy to fetch her and her sisters were enjoying their youth. She doesn't have that much friends to talk with in school since most of them went home already.

"Your nanny isn't here yet?" her homeroom teacher Po approached her and with that sunny smile again.

"Nanny might be late. She might be having a nice date with our new driver." Little Xiulan innocently revealed. Well, she only spouted the things she sees. Every after school, her nanny will have a quick date with the driver, taking her along with them. Usually it's just an ice cream date. She gets a free ice cream every time, it's a win-win situation.

"Ah… hahaha I see." Teacher Po awkwardly laughed at Xiulan's innocent information. But deep inside her thoughts were wandering somewhere else. "Lucky nanny… she can date and takes care of this cutie pie. I bet the salary being her personal nanny is larger than being a nursery teacher."

Xiulan quickly stand up when she saw the curly hair of her nanny peeking at the doorway entrance. "My nanny is here!" She hurriedly ran towards her nanny and scolded her. "Nanny Mae, you are so late!"

The nanny, who seems to be in her 30s, was very plump and has curly hair. She's not considered a beauty but she was not ugly.

But for homeroom teacher Po, her dark att.i.tude claimed that the nanny was so ugly that she doesn't deserve to date the handsome young driver.

The nanny only apologetically smiled at her little angel and briefly smiled at homeroom teacher Po as a greeting.

Teacher Po only gave a smug look and sn.o.b the poor nanny.

Nanny Mae quickly pulled her little angel outside and whispered "Your homeroom teacher always sn.o.bs me. Do you know why?"

"It might be because you are late, Nanny Mae." Little Xiulan purely claimed.

Nanny Mae confusedly frowned since that's was such a petty reason to be mean to someone. She turn her head again to peek at the homeroom teacher. She almost gasp seeing the dark expression coming from the homeroom teacher. "What the h.e.l.l is wrong with her?"

"A what nanny?" Xiulan asked and was about to look at where her nanny was looking but the voice of the young driver caught her attention.

"Our little angel has a lot of stars today. Very good!" the young driver complimented Xiulan and patted her head.

All of the Songs sisters have designated people to serve them. Personal nanny, personal driver and personal tutor. It might be a frivolous idea but the Song couple would do anything to spoil their children and for them to grow up smart, humble and beautiful.

"We will go to your dentist today and then after that piano lessons." Her nanny announced.

"Ah! How about the ice cream date?" Xiulan sadly pouted. She can't afford to not have an ice cream date today.

The nanny and the driver laughed at her innocent rant. Oh their little angel is so cute!

"We can have an ice cream date after visiting your dentist." Nanny Mae happily informed and lead Xiulan inside the car.

The following days, Nanny Mae wasn't able to fetch Xiulan for three consecutive weeks due to an emergency leave. Nanny Mae's brother was caught in an accident and she has to visit and take care of her brother.

The young daughter of the female head servant was the nanny's proxy in fetching Xiulan and of course the driver.

While the young daughter was busy taking care of Xiulan, the homeroom teacher approached the driver. "Your girlfriend is not here. Did something happened?"

Struck by the homeroom teacher's beauty. The young driver smiled and denied his relations.h.i.+p with Nanny Mae. "No, she's not my girlfriend. There was an accident in her hometown so she was on leave."

Teacher Po smugly smiled for a moment. Then she acted like she was really concerned. "Aww… I hope everything is fine in her hometown. I really thought you were in a relations.h.i.+p with her. Lady Song said it herself."

"Ahh… hahahaha. Of course, children tend to see stuff in a different light. We are just flirting with each other. Relations.h.i.+ps between servants inside the Song mansion was not allowed." The driver awkwardly said. He was fl.u.s.tering so much and he can't seem to look at the teacher's eyes.

"Not allowed? Hmmm… then… how about we date and become lovers? That's allowed right?" Teacher Po directly went for the kill. She didn't dilly-dally anymore and confessed her true intentions.

The driver was speechless for a moment. He gawked at her and stuttered "Oh… I… Is it okay for you to date a mere driver like me?"

"Why not? I like you."

Because of Teacher Po's wild confession and claiming the driver as her boyfriend, the two started dating. Nanny Mae's ice cream date with the driver became Teacher Po's ice cream date with the driver.

Teacher Po even claimed that Xiulan was like her adopted daughter with the driver. She was so happy playing family during their ice cream dates.

For Xiulan's young mind but has common sense, she knew very well that the driver was cheating on her beloved Nanny Mae. To shut the head servant's young daughter, they brought her along and paid for her ice cream too with Xiulan. 

Xiulan was also enraged at Teacher Po's promiscuous move to the driver. She already told her that the two were already dating but still, she seems to forgot about it and ended up being lovers with him.

The ice cream during that long three weekend tasted different and it was an ugly flavor of deceit. Xiulan didn't enjoy any of it.

When Nanny Mae came back, her plump body became thin and her cheeks were hallowed due to stress of taking care of her brother. The life in the country side is so hard. Good thing that she was working with the Song family, they lend her a huge amount of money for her brother's treatment.

Nanny Mae just got out of the nightmare that fallen onto her brother. She didn't expect coming back to S city brought her a new wave of bad news, the cheating driver confessed that he has a new lover and it was Teacher Po. He wanted to end his secret relations.h.i.+p with Nanny Mae.

For the young Xiulan, seeing her beloved Nanny Mae's tears made her hate men a little.

That was the start of seeing men's deceit. She did not expect growing up would be full of it. Her sisters' lovers fell onto the same category. Her sisters cried for men who cheated on them.

Good thing her father was not like any of those type of men. Her father, was the perfect male role model. He was the saving grace.

All the things she hated in men were ironically present in her husband, Xing Hongqi. Though he didn't cheat on her yet but he did cheat on some of his past lovers.

Xiulan woke up feeling the heaviness in her heart. She was in a good mood before she napped, but now, she felt like all the pain from the women in her dreams were transferred to her. She never wanted to feel such pain personally, ever.
