2 Audition

After standing in the line for hours, his turn came up just before the closing time. With a sticker attached to his t-s.h.i.+rt, which has an ID number, Jun entered the audition room and saw three tired judges. One of them, the one on the right upon looking at him blankly while thinking about something while the other two frowned looking at him as he looked like an adult young man, even though he is a tall, white-skinned, and a handsome young man with jet black short hair, who is suited to be in acting department in the first glance.

The middle Judge, Yu Song-Su asked while looking at the paper, "so, you are Han Sung-Jun, right?" As Jun nodded, Song-Su said, "ok, introduce yourself quickly in a minute." Jun replied, "my name is Han Sung-Jun, 20 years old." Hearing his age, they frowned again while he continued, "I used to be a trainee for three years at ZC, four years ago but..."

Suddenly the three immediately became alert after hearing ZC while he further continued, "four years ago, I met with an accident and..." Then, he was interrupted by the judge sitting on the right side, "Han Sung-Jun. No wonder I felt your name and face, especially your hazel eyes, a bit familiar. The prodigy of ZC." Song-Su looked at him and asked, "eh? Sang-Min s.h.i.+, do you know this young man?"

Lee Sang-Min replied, "yeah, four years ago, I was in ZC, remember? He was actually selected as a member of "Resonance" but was suddenly disappeared before even signing the contract. So, it was an accident, huh." Hearing him, as Song-Su was shocked, "that Resonance? Seriously?" Jun awkwardly smiled and replied, "I met with an accident and was in a vegetative state for the past four years."

The left judge, who wasn't much impressed from the start opened her mouth, "so, you have been away from Kpop world for 4 years. It's regrettable but it's very hard to catch up. We have to train you again if we wanted to select you. So, let's see your dancing skills, first."

As they played the song he brought it, Jun began to dance, which doesn't impress them at all. Song-Su commented, "your dance is good but it isn't at the level to impress us. If those kids below 15 years of age dance like this, then, we would have considered it but... sigh, it's regrettable indeed."

Then, the right judge, Sang-Min asked, "as they say, your dancing is just average. Maybe it's because you lack practice but we can't do anything about it. I only hope that your singing skills are good enough that we can ignore the dance. If not, we have to fail you."

Jun nodded as he expected it. Looking at his music stat, which was at 8, as he allotted the free talent point to music, at the last moment as he saw many candidates are getting failed. Then, he said, "I'm going to sing a song that I've written before I debut but never had the chance to sing it to anyone. The t.i.tle's name is "I miss you." I hope you like it." Song-Su looked at him interestingly, "oh, an original? Let's hear it, then."

Closing his eyes, Jun opened his mouth and started singing in Korean,

"always under the same sky

always exactly the same day;

Other than you're not being here

there's nothing different at all;

I just want to smile

want to forget everything;

Just absolutely nothing has happened

smiling to live my days;

Miss you, miss you so much

because I miss you so much

Every day all by myself

calling and calling you;

Want to see you, want to see you again

because I want to see you so much

Now it's like I have this habit

keep calling out your name;

It's the same today."

As Jun was absorbed in his singing and singing in the song and hit the high notes at "calling you" and "calling out your name" and then finished slowly, the judges stood up in a shock as the song and his voice, touched their heart, including even Pok Tae-Hae, the judge, who sat on the left.

As they nodded with a smile in satisfaction, Song-Su called his name seriously without discussing with others, making the atmosphere a little bit tense, "Han Sang-Jun?" "yes?"

Song-Su then asked curiously, "did you write this for your crush or something?" Immediately the two judges smiled as Jun replied with embarra.s.sment as he never fell in love neither in his past life of 20 years nor have any memory of it in his current life, "no, there's nothing of such sort." Sang-Min then looked at the other two and asked, "so, what do you think, Song-Su, Tae-Hee sunbae. For me, he can be a great vocalist but have to focus on dance if he wants to debut early."

After both of them nodded, Tae Hee gave him a temporary pa.s.s written with the ID name that lets him go in and out of their agency without any issue, "we will discuss the terms of the contract, tomorrow." With a huge smile on the face, Jun exited the building. Just then, he heard a notification sound in his head, followed by the voice of the little fairy.

*Ding* You completed the Mission: Audition. You received 500 Mission points as a reward. Luck increased by 1;

Reaching the home, Jun shouted with excitement, "Mom, I'm selected in the audition. I'm now a trainee of Echo, hahaha." Hearing him, his mom was surprised as she expected him to fail because she knew how hard is to become an idol these days but she never expected her son, who just came out of his vegetative state, just a little more than 2 months ago, was able to continue his dream once more but what she felt strange that he was way too happy for someone, who used to be in ZC.

She doesn't know the fact that Jun in his past life, used to be only a spectator and have longed dreamed to become a Kpop Idol.
