82 He Who Unexpectedly Saved Others

'I hate to admit this. But he still managed to divert that Clarissa's attention. In Wendy's perspective too, he's the only one who lent a helping hand. This will be all meaningless after the memory wipe, but I guess I have no choice but forgive him just this once. I just hope he remembers nothing about this when he wakes up.'

After this, she shook her head and went back to the car again.

She was relieved that this long day finally pa.s.sed.

.....

A while ago, when Sofony was finally able to think straight again, she realized that something was off about Clarissa's sudden departure. She thought the girl was someone who would not let go of any opportunity to make things difficult for her. Therefore, she didn't believe it was only because Clarissa found her impostor-play solution boring.

Unfortunately, that host did not leave any clue, and her system was useless since Clarissa already paid points to hide all information about her.

...

So what really happened?

A few hours ago, when Clarissa was staring murderously at the phone soaking in dirty blackish water, a notification suddenly echoed in her mind. It was this that made her postpone her plan of teaching that male junior a lesson.

It was also this that made her leave earlier than intended thus causing her to miss out how Sofony impersonated an innocent Wendy to save her friend's image.

In other words, Clarissa didn't really leave out of anger due to her phone suddenly ending up in a ditch. She would never be that idiotic.

Around the time when Wendy and Chris were asking the cab driver to send them elsewhere, Clarissa was already entering a three-story restaurant through the backdoor.

Precisely this restaurant was always what turned into a high-cla.s.s brothel every night.

"No one's still calling me, huh?" Her sharp gaze went to her a.s.sistant.

Lydia's face still looked cool, but there was sweat trickling down her spine. "We thought we can control the situation by ourselves. After all, the rebel is just a brat."

"A kid?"

Lydia and the others that were now escorting Clarissa flinched.

"You're saying the one who sabotaged our operations by letting 80% of our goods out is just a kid? Huh? When did you lot become so stupid and useless?" The terrifying glint in Clarissa's eyes deepened. "And none of you called me. I have to depend on my own source to know that this branch is now falling apart!"

Her female a.s.sistant was the one feeling the most pressure so she almost thanked the heavens when her earpiece alerted her of a transmission.

"Miss Lydia, we've cornered the kid near Bas.e.m.e.nt 2's staircase. But he's strangely laughing. The rest of the escapees, we didn't manage to retrieve. T-there are only about 20 girls and boys here, together with the rebel kid."

"Let a single one of them get away and you're all not going to see the sunrise tomorrow."

It was Clarissa that said this after pus.h.i.+ng the elevator b.u.t.ton for Bas.e.m.e.nt 2. Lydia's heart almost stopped as the words were actually meant for her, or maybe it was for everyone there. Still, the cold look from her beautiful and heartless boss didn't fail to scare everyone, including the normally stoic a.s.sistant.

The woman's voice became more urgent, "Leader is coming with us! Don't let a single one of them get away, or else you won't even know when, where, why, and how you die!"

"C-copy that!"

The beautiful female immoral host only eyed them coldly. When the lift's door opened, she was the first one to get off, the rest racing to go after her.

As the stairs leading to Bas.e.m.e.nt 1 was only ten meters from the right, they only had to walk the hallway for two minutes to see a group of gun-wielding and baton-wielding black uniformed men. In front of them was a kid who seemed to be the one reported. He was kind of familiar as he was one of the pretty boys she noticed from the last batch.

"L-leader, you're finally here. This d.a.m.n brat is the one who freed all our commodities from their prison cells!"

"Please be careful. He is weird and arrogant! Our bullets couldn't reach him no matter what we do!"

Clarissa's eyes darkened after seeing what the 13-14-year-old was holding. It was actually just a small black box. But in one of the lateral faces, a red b.u.t.ton was sticking out. It looked exactly an item used once by a person she knew.

'An invisible device? Bulletproof s.h.i.+eld generator?'

Seeing for herself how boisterous the boy's laugh was, she immediately realized that he was the same as her. Given that he only had his clothes on him, it was easy to guess that if he was so confident in front of twenty or so armed men, then he could only be an immoral host.

The two immoral hosts met eyes. The foolish grin he flashed towards her made the beautiful girl's face hardened.

"Hi, pretty girl. You must be the boss! I finally see you! I mean, I already saw you, but it should be the first time I'm seeing you up close!" And the boy waved his free hand at her, looking so pleased about their meeting.

However, unlike her, Clarissa's expression was dark. "You're the rebel?"

"Yup! But don't be angry! I actually have a pretty good reason for what I did! I'm forced, you know? And no, I'm not totally against you prost.i.tuting young people, after all, I'm also immoral. It just so happens this become my mission so please excuse my actions just now. Hahaha!"

One of her men angrily shouted, "You're crazy, a.s.shole!"

Lydia hurriedly whispered to her ears, "Leader, we already checked his info. This boy is actually someone who sneaked into the van that carried trafficked 'goods'."

A frown immediately appeared on the girl's immaculate face. Time pa.s.sed that she was seemingly thinking about something while studying the boy.

"Your mission involves making an enemy of me, kid?"

"Well, we can say so. After all, it is to sabotage someone like you, a person who is like me. Hahaha." The way the unnamed boy laughed really irked something in Clarissa, but he seemed to be full of confidence that nothing would happen to him even if he angered the whole mafia.

He continued, "By the way, you look really pretty. Probably, you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen. You also look mature. I mean, look at your figure, so full, so s.e.xy. I bet thousands of men already embraced you nakedly. I just don't know if it's only in a bed. I mean, you look someone people can screw anywhere."

Before he even finished speaking, hundreds of bullets had already been fired by Clarissa's angry henchmen. However, as if there was an invisible wall standing between them, those bullets got stuck midair, none could continue crossing the remaining two meters from him.

Seeing this, Clarissa's brows furrowed. She then raised her hand as she knew continuing this would only be a waste of ammo.

'What can go through his invisible barrier?' she asked the system.

An annoyed expression flashed on her face as she stared at the giggling boy. And this grew worse after hearing from it that he was almost someone like her, in a sense, had no weakness like families or friends that someone could exploit.

They heard the opposing party spoke again. "Lady boss, your boys are very hot-blooded, haha. Anyway, back to what I'm saying. I'm actually just praising your beauty. You know, you're so beautiful you're probably the prettiest in the world. And you still have no makeup on! I wonder what you'll look like once clothed in luxurious fabric. Aaahhh, I'm so tempted to become your stalker!"

She sneered, bloodl.u.s.t not hidden from her voice, "You're too young for my taste so I advise you to give up. But if you really want to be a fan, why don't you show sincerity by offering your cute head to me?"

"No, no, I don't need to fit your tastes. After all, I don't want to be a s.e.xmate wrapped around your fingers. Nope, that's boring and disgusting. All I want is to be your stalker! Your greatest stalker!" And he started laughing boisterously again.

Clarissa disregarded his stupid declaration. "Let's stop the stupid chat. Boy, why did you have release those other boys and girls?" She asked because she could not see the 20 or so goods that should be with him.

"Ah, sorry. My mission says so. Can't do anything about it. You're like me so you should know what happens to those who failed their missions. Also, I had fun playing hero! Hahahaha."

A few seconds later, he baffled everyone for suddenly stopping his laughter. He looked down to the item in his hands, a childish pout adorning his face after inspecting it.

After shaking his head and clicking his tongue, the kid looked at Clarissa again, ignoring the angry stares from the others.

"Hey, pretty miss. I'm glad to meet you. It's been nice beholding your beauty, but I think I have to go now. Hahaha."

"Before I do so, I hate to part with you without telling why I really targeted you. It's simply because my mission is to disrupt your business, and to bomb a site owned by someone like you! It just so happen that you're the one nearest. Hahaha. Welp, sorry about that!"

"But for your information, I'm known for bombing almost everything! If you don't know, I just recently bombed a remote city's munic.i.p.al hall! And last last last week, I bombed a big bus! Hahaha!"

"Anyway, I'm serious about being your stalker! So don't forget about me, okay? Well, you won't be able to anyway, because I'm going to regularly declare my existence to you starting tomorrow. Hahahaha."

Clarissa's eyes were already very wide the moment she mentioned his mission. This was why at the latter part of his speech, she no longer listened but busied herself with purchasing a similar s.h.i.+eld from the system.

Clarissa did not care about her subordinates who were disorderly shouting and running away. She also did not bother caring for their reactions when a black box which cost her 10,000 points suddenly materialized in front of her.

Without further ado, she immediately pressed the red b.u.t.ton!

She didn't know if she should thank her luck or what, but exactly after the b.u.t.ton was pressed, a loud and big explosion happened!

A glaring light that appeared from the side almost blinded her. However, before she had managed to close her eyes, she seemed to have seen him instantly disappearing from her sight.

As if he vanished into thin air.

Because she was shocked by this, the bomb's explosion caught her by surprise.

'...Someone who can teleport? Level 5 or above?'

That was her last thought before she lost consciousness, fainting safe under the cover of the invisible barrier. It was unknown whether she would survive once the thirty minutes were up. However, if she does, it means her luck was just extraordinary, something that only time could tell.

And what about the kiddie host who disappeared from there?

He reappeared a little more than ten meters away from the three-story restaurant. As usual, he looked like having fun, laughing at the bright and blazing scene.
