Immoral System - 242 Maila 4

242 Maila 4

Actually, with or without equipment specialized in seeing through the inside of a body, nothing would be found since the items were from the system.

Still, Sofia wanted Maila to see for herself that there was no threat in her life from within anymore. It was the truth anyway.

When she dragged the other into Lauren Walker's laboratory, she was not also so stupid to notify Chris or her Original about this.

There was a chance that an immoral host was lurking around.

It would be enough that only she was exposed.

When the result of the examination came out, Maila threw her a complicated gaze. If the woman was as intelligent as said, then she must have a hunch now what the real case was. The examinations were senseless.

However, Sofia liked that the blonde did not speak, riding along with this almost nonsensical way of proving her point.

"We did not come to visit you tonight. Please remember that."

After hypnotizing everyone from the laboratory of this, Sofia led the woman out of there. Instead of taking the car, Sofia ignored the discomfort of the blonde and opted for public transportation, a bullet train.

"Why here?" Maila whispered to Sofia in a hushed tone as they sat side by side on two of the available seats.

At first, the idol was afraid of being recognized and swarmed at by their fans. Since it was a public transport, there would be bound to be a few dozens of people who knew them, especially Sofia.

However, time pa.s.sed and no one came to bother them. It seemed the black-haired actress slash singer had done something out of normal people's common sense. Perhaps, an illusion?

Sofia replied, "Car is no good. If that Sir Gu who is currently in this city is a person who can teleport and he appears in the backseat while we're driving and talking, we'll be doomed. I can probably survive. But how about you?"

Maila went silent, thinking of what she implied.

Even though it had been three years since she became involved with the supernatural and unexplainable, it was still sometimes hard to digest those monster-like people who could do wonders exist.

But she understood what the actress wanted to tell her.

Sir Gu could indeed teleport. According to what she remembered.

And if that person learned of her betrayal, no matter how many nights they had spent together, her life would surely not be spared.

Even if she was someone who he called his non-host supporter.

Ten minutes later, it was probably divine providence that no enemy or whoever appeared to obstruct them.

Maybe if that Sir Gu was around, he was busy bedding women or even if he was at work, maybe it was not yet necessary them he would be targeting.

No matter which one, it worked for the two women's convenience.

...

The turn of events these past few days was quite like a roller-coaster ride.

A day after Sofony returned with Gio to Alina City, Steffy and Wendy also appeared at the airport.

Wendy was kidnapped, then rescued.

Unfortunately, for a reason unknown to both all the hosts on Sofony's side, the woman fell into a seemingly indefinite coma.

The morning after that day, Alessa learned that Chris was temporarily sheltering a kid rescued from the desert base of the organization.

As for Sofony, she checked on Wendy again, only to find that she was still unconscious.

Lastly, Amelia Morgan, Alessa's older sister went to Crypto for a meet up with a higher-up of the mercenary a.s.sociation she had contacts with last time. After the talk which mostly had to do with Alessa, the woman ended up toyed in bed by that higher-up called Mr. Gu, an immoral host.

When the next morning came, Gu Yimu, the one who tumbled in bed with Amelia woke up, preached upon by another core member of the organization. At the same time, he was informed that the mid-level system user in the city was Sofony, and he was in charge of finding out everything about them.

It was such a coincidence that the woman was someone Amelia Morgan wanted him to eliminate in the world.

At Sofia's place, Maila visited the actress just to rant. But because of this that Sofia became curious about her reason for hating Alessa Morgan.

When she discovered it was due to a trafficking incident from five years ago, her curiosity deepened which then led to another discovery.

At a museum somewhere in Country F, Leo Jones resurfaced as a very young appraiser.

When Fred's clone paid him a visit, apart from being tasked to tail Sofony, he was also asked to check on someone named Alda Dimatrionez, the newly emerging system user of Country F.

On the third day of Wendy's coma, this was when Sofia confronted Maila Asuncion, making her confess that she was actually from the Organization, someone who used to be a slave offering bodily pleasure to the men of that group, and now a spy implanted in the city.

Her purpose was yet to be revealed, or maybe only Sofia, for now, was aware of the part of what was currently going on.

...

A day back.

A few minutes after Gu Yimu woke up and washed up, he cursed out.

The reason was when he began investigating about Amelia Morgan's request, he was surprised to find out that even the simple hacker who he thought would not give any headache turned out a tricky person after all.

Frowning, he started looking into the incident that happened two weeks ago.

Through the organization's information network, he learned that there was indeed someone similar to him who sabotaged that operation.

It could only be the work of another host.

Because there was no way that a simple human would be able to stand up against a non-host supporter armed with a real weapon from the organization.

"This city was really small huh? As expected only C Empire's cities are the best."

The man in his late thirties clicked his tongued and stared down to the brightly lit up city which he could see underneath as he looked through the gla.s.s wall.

It was almost late evening. As it was the beginning of the month, no moon could be seen up above.

It was the same day when he received the phone call from Gloria, the previous branch keeper of the desert base.

"It seems all targets that Amelia chic wanted to investigate or kill are related to Sofony Silver."

Chris Meyer couldn't be inquired about. Same with Alessa Morgan.

And from what those surviving mercenaries from that operation reported, he guessed that Sofony Silver was the one killing off or crippling the mercenaries sent to the other artists and executives location.

After all, the attacks on them happened almost within the same time frame.

Since this Sofony Silver dared to raid a base, she should be in possession of the Teleportation skill. It was the only explanation.

Then who helped to kill the system-empowered non-host merc?

"This looks tricky. Should I compensate her in advance?"

Instead of matching the words he said, a wolfish glow flashed across the man's eyes.

After throwing the cigarette b.u.t.t on his lips away, he laughed and teleported straight into that woman's bedroom.

Power might have made this person willful and lackadaisical.

Rather than going straight to work, he reasoned in his mind that it was nighttime and that work could start the next day.

"Hi." Gu Yimo startled the sleeping Amelia when he suddenly appeared inside the dimly lit room.

Without controlling the woman, he 'gave', or more like, forced his body to her, as advance compensation in case he would not be able to accomplish one or two of the request.

In reality though, the immoral host was just a h.o.r.n.y man looking for a release.

But only because he was like this that Maila escaped his notice and managed to spill out everything she knew to Sofia Mendoza, his main target's clone.
