Chapter 47: Volume 3 Chapter 22.2

"Ahem, alright. You will stay here in this room for a moment until we're ready to go to Asgard." I brought Thor in a spare room and prepared his sleeping bed while I'm at it.

Meanwhile, Loki will stay up in the attic at the moment. Of course, I generated a force field using the Tesseract around Loki so all he can do is stay in his bed and wait for us to deliver his food.

"Thank you for your generosity." Thor placed his hammer down near the bed and said in an ocean-deep voice. I really still can't get over the fact that this brain-muscle of a guy is so very good-looking. Are all G.o.ds like this? Hopefully not. That would be awful.

"Uhh, no problem." I looked around the empty room before I teleported something from my room in front of Thor "At the moment, you can keep yourself busy with this thing if you have nothing else to do."

"What is this... artifact for?" Thor grabbed the controller as he turned to ask me.

"It's an X-box." I turned it on and inserted the Prototype 2 game that was released last April.

I thought him how to use it first before leaving him alone. The two girls, Karla and Lynn, are having a good rest after a long day of battle. Morgana accompanied me in the attic to meet Loki. When I got there, I saw him lying on the bed while playing with a p.a.w.n chess piece on his hand.

"It's nice here, isn't it? Cold, dark, dusty. But hey, it's better than being inside a metal chamber where you're slowly being roasted to death, am I right?"

I removed the thing that's covering Loki's mouth with telekinesis magic. He ma.s.saged his jaw for a moment before speaking up.

"I reckon you're not here to console me." Loki sat up from the bed. "What do you want?"

"That's what I like. Straight to the point." I produced the Tesseract in my hand and asked him. "Tell me everything you know about this thing. Everything."

I don't need to explain myself further. Rather than searching in the dark, it's better to have some information about this thing first. Every piece of information is important. If I want to control this power sooner, I should know its origins first.

Loki did not answer. Instead, he flashed a mischievous smile.

"Hmm, alright. You don't want to talk, that's fine." I snapped my fingers. "Morgana, make him talk."

Following my orders, Morgana stepped inside the force field that I created.

"A half-Human, half-Faerie. What could you possibly do?" Loki sneered.

"Oh, I could do a lot of things." Morgana chuckled seductively. Her green eyes turned red as she lifted up Loki's chin. "Aren't I beautiful? Aren't I the fairest woman in the universe? Look me in the eyes and tell me."

Loki's expression changed. His mind tried to fight for a moment before finally caving in from Morgana's hypnotic charm. It's just like I thought. He was mind controlled by something, that's why it has become easier to control his mind. I noticed he's also talented in the arts of Magic, so controlling his mind shouldn't have been that easy. Morgana's spell succeeded because his mind is already vulnerable.

"Let's start over again. What is this thing?" I showed him the Tesseract a second time.

"My lord asks you." Morgana whispered to Loki. He recovered from his stunned state and faced me with a serious expression.

"I don't know." He honestly said. "The only thing I know about it is that someone is trying to get it at all costs."

"Who's that someone? Why?"

"A mad t.i.tan. I don't know his reasons. We just came into an agreement. He gets the Tesseract; I get to rule the Earth." Loki used illusion magic as he projected something. "He gave me the scepter in order to realize my goal."

"This thing?" I took out the golden scepter from my Storage.

"It's a mind control device. You can control others to do things in your bidding."

"Yeah, but it looks like it controls its wielder too." This is the thing that mind-controlled Loki. "These two things. There are much more to these than what you know."

I stored both of the artifacts and continued to interrogate Loki. About the scepter, about the mad t.i.tan who orchestrated the attack on New York, and about his motives.

In conclusion, he doesn't know much about the mad t.i.tan. He only knows that his name is Thanos and he's in control of the Chitauri army. I told him that they were probably dead when the nuke hit them, but Loki replied that that is only one of their Chitauri mothers.h.i.+p.

Lastly, I asked about as much as I could in regard to Asgard. I was mostly intrigued by Odin's treasury vault and library. Loki said that the treasury vault was supposed to house the things that could potentially cause Ragnarok, the destruction of Asgard. While the library is where the most important information in Asgard could be found.

I thought for a moment on how to secretly enter Odin's treasury vault. Loki said it was impossible as long as Odin's alive. I don't want to antagonize Asgardians that much either since I currently know too little about them. Maybe the only way that I can possibly enter that vault is to witness them store an artifact personally. Finally, after minutes of contemplation, I took out the darkhold in my Storage.

"Look at this. Can this be stored in Odin's vault?" I shoved it in front of Loki.

He examined the darkhold for a while before placing it down. "This is not bad, but it's not enough. Only mortals could be affected by the temptation it's offering."

"I guess so. It's useless then." I picked it up and threw it somewhere in the attic. It is as he said. I have no use for a thing that couldn't grant me anything. I turned to Morgana and nodded at her. "Lift the spell up."

She nodded in return and her red eyes turned back to green. Loki grabbed his head as it hurts before glaring at me. "What did you do to me?"

"You should be thankful. I lifted the curse caused by the scepter on you. You're welcome." I smiled at him before turning around with Morgana.

"You will pay for this, you puny human!" Loki said through gritted teeth.

"Yeah, yeah. Sure."

After that, I entered the sub-dimension that I created to study and experiment with the Tesseract. When I took the thing out, an urge suddenly formed in my mind. I grasped it with both of my hands and directed the energy coming from it to the sub-dimension spell. And just as I thought. The sub-dimension expanded several folds.

Before, this sub-dimension that is primarily used for a training ground is only the size of a football field. Now, however, it looks just like several football fields put beside each other. Although there's still no sun or weather inside, it is sufficient for Karla and Lynn's use.

If I'm not wrong, this Tesseract should contain the s.p.a.ce stone, one of the Infinity Stones. And the scepter should contain another stone. Maybe the Mind stone or Soul stone, perhaps? As it can control the minds or maybe the soul of other people while the Tesseract can tap the unlimited power of s.p.a.ce.

Back then, the cosmic being on the moon said: [Go back to Earth. I believe you'll find the things that you want the most there.]

I took note of the word 'things'. It's in plural form rather than singular. That means that aside from the Tesseract, there should also be another stone that exists in New York. That's why I stored Loki's scepter as soon as I saw it.

I already have two Infinity stones in my hand. I s.h.i.+vered as a thought crossed my mind. This shouldn't be that easy. There are also people who're trying to collect the stones aside me, like that mad t.i.tan Thanos. Therefore, a clash is inevitable.

"I can only prepare, huh." I meditated again to study the Tesseract and the scepter and to reform my plans in the future.
