Chapter 42: Volume 3 Chapter 20.1

"By the way, Morgana. Aside from you, are there others who were reincarnated as well?"

The 'others' that I'm talking about is obviously my underlings in the magical world. If Morgana reincarnated here, there's a possibility that they also ended up in the same situation. So, I asked just in case.

Morgana thought for a moment before speaking, "My lord, long time ago, I met Vlad in his castle. He established himself quite well, even becoming one of the urban legends of this world."

What? You mean to say that the urban legend of Vladimir in this world is real and he's also my subordinate? How can that be? Before I reincarnated and meet Vlad in the magical world, he already exists here as a myth. Is this a time paradox?

While I ponder these things, Morgana continued.

"I also met Scarlet Warlock before I was killed. Unfortunately, he died fighting with me. He doesn't have any method to prolong his stay in this world and I was not powerful enough to save his soul. Forgive me, My lord." She deeply bowed her head.

"Don't worry about it. You're not in the wrong."

Scarlet Warlock is a powerful magician that can alter reality to a certain degree and control minds with just one snap of his finger. He is a master magician of Chaos magic. It's a bit unfortunate that he died but well, I guess that's his fate.

Morgana wasn't finished yet as she spoke again. "However, if I remember correctly, Scarlet Warlock should have a wife. He boasted about him having a daughter, so he might have descendants somewhere on this planet..."

Ohh? That is quite pleasing to hear. At all cost, I wanted to meet his descendants and see for myself if there's someone who inherited at least a few of his powers. I think I can do something to make him/her more powerful and someday, he/she might even reach Scarlet Warlock's level. I put it into my mind to seek his descendants if I have the time.

"Aside from them, there are also several others who might've reincarnated as well. I haven't confirmed their existence yet, but I heard things about them when I was alive." Morgana then told me all the stories and rumors she knew that might lead to them.

I listened to it all and planned to confirm things later.

Now, why am I bothering with these things? Obviously, because I'm going to form my own organization here in this world.

I cannot accomplish my plans alone. I am indeed a powerful magic caster, but I'm still far from being omnipotent. Thus, to start it off, I think that I need to gather my Generals who reincarnated like the others. After that, there are also the newbie members; like Lynn, Karla, and in the future, Mara.

Just then, Karla finished destroying the hundred steel golems and was flying towards me. I told Morgana to continue teaching Lynn while I'll take Karla to the moon for a bit.

Getting to the moon is easy. I just need to use [Continental Teleportation] a few times until we reached the moon. Of course, I already casted [Astro Suit] on us before we even reached the upper atmosphere.

Gray, desolate, and lifeless. That must be the impressions that you would think of when gazing at the moon.

However, that is partly wrong.

Flying above the moon, I and Karla overlooked a ruin of a blue city from afar. I said 'blue city' because almost everything in it is blue. The ruins showed clear signs of a battle that happened a long time ago. There's no structure that's left complete. I don't know why they abandoned the city but there must be a reason.

"I didn't know that there's already a civilization on the moon."

After gazing at the city for a moment, I remembered the reason why we're here. We quickly went down and searched the city together to search for a Moonstone, or any records pertaining to its existence.

Finally, in one of the still-standing buildings, we found a huge vault in the deepest part of its bas.e.m.e.nt. The vault showed marks of being bombarded with explosives, although they somehow gave up and just left it there unopened. It must be one h.e.l.l of a vault.

I nodded at Karla and held her hand as we ran towards the vault. Just as when we're about to crash to the door, we pa.s.sed through it like it was just an illusion.

It was Karla's phasing ability.

Other than the fact that the vault's door was 2-meters thick, the inside is almost hollow. There was nothing there, except for a single box on top of a pedestal.

Just to be cautious, I used telekinesis magic to get the box and opened it. What I found inside was the thing that we're looking for— the Moonstone. It was a glittering blue gemstone the size of a palm. I can indeed sense an energy similar to Karla's body from it.

I don't know if a piece of Moonstone like this would produce a noticeable result but let's try anyway.

"Try to absorb it." I gave the Moonstone to Karla to see what will happen.

Karla nodded and put the Moonstone in her mouth.

"No, don't eat it! Just... just hold it in your hand and see if you can absorb the energy inside it."

She did what I told her and closed her eyes.

A few moments later, a blinding light coming from the Moonstone suddenly covered Karla's whole body. I couldn't witness what was happening inside but one thing came to my mind.

'Would she evolve into a Gardevior?'

While I waited for the results, the light vanished. The Moonstone in Karla's hand lost its blue color, so it just looks like an ordinary stone now.

"Fuuu~" Karla deeply breathed out as she clenched her hands. She must be feeling the sense of temporary omnipotence from the sudden power up.

When I was about to ask what change happened in her, she suddenly raised an index finger and pointed it in my direction. A red beam the size of a pencil came out of the tip of her finger. It was aimed straight towards me.

"Concentrated laser, check."

The concentrated laser met my barrier so it was deflected to the side. It hit the 2-meters thick vault door and easily penetrated it like b.u.t.ter. That's some serious firepower.

She fired a few more times but none even get past my barrier. Noticing it was futile; Karla changed tactics and then charged towards me. A red light enveloped her fists. In the next moment, Karla bombarded the barrier with her glowing red fist. Her strength now reached the level of that gray Hulk in Harlem, or maybe even stronger.

"Red photon fists, check. Overall physical enhancement, check."

Karla slumped to the ground as she caught her breath.

"I... thought that... I can at least... scratch you..." Karla said as she smiled bitterly.

"You cheeky brat."

You're a hundred years too early for that.
