Chapter 1333: Benefits From the Heavenly Court

An Lin opened the gate to the Celestial Thearch Palace.

The scenes revealed to him inside were a bit unexpected.

There was no grandiose decor, lavish furniture, or any worthy of note things for that matter.

This was just a pure white s.p.a.ce with a table and a few chairs.

The five almighty emperors sat around the table, chatting as they enjoyed sunflower seeds. All of them turned around upon An Lin’s arrival and waved at him with friendly expressions.

“Come on over, Mr. An Lin.”

“Welcome, War G.o.d of our Heavenly Court.”

“Mr. An Lin, come and taste my immortal tea.”

All of the emperors extended enthusiastic greetings toward him.

An Lin strolled in and casually sat on one of the chairs.

He had actually interacted with all of these emperors both directly and indirectly.

Emperor Chang Sheng had given him a formation disk, Emperor Qing Hua had tasted his frying pan dish during the Chef G.o.d showdown, Emperor Tian Huang had beaten Laden for him on the Dark Marshlands, and he had pummeled Emperor Ziwei in the Immortal Spirit Tower.

As for the Celestial Thearch, this was the Emperor he was most familiar with. The Celestial Thearch had saved him many times, and he had swindled his daughters out of a lot of money, so they definitely had a solid relations.h.i.+p.

“Ha… this tea is really good!” An Lin took a light sip of Emperor Qing Hua’s tea to find that it was extremely delicious and immediately made him more focused and alert but also more carefree and relaxed at the same time.

Aside from that, there seemed to be some sort of intent realm imbued within as well, such that An Lin felt as if he were in paradise when savoring and reminiscing the taste.

The pure white s.p.a.ce around him instantly transformed into a thriving world of lush scenery and gorgeous animals.

This was not an illusionary realm, but instead, it was a very realistic intent realm.

An Lin could even feel a white, furry fox snuggling up in his lap. Its soft, warm, and furry body did not seem to be illusionary in the slightest.

The Celestial Thearch pointed to the intricate teapot with a smile upon seeing An Lin’s astonished expression. “Don’t underestimate this tea that Qing Hua has brewed. The tea leaves in this teapot were made from immortal-rank materials, North Dream Immortal Spirit Leaves, and refined over and over again to create the finished product…”

An Lin really was astonished this time. “Using immortal-rank materials as tea leaves? What a lavish lifestyle!”

Emperor Qing Hua stroked his snowy-white beard and laughed heartily. “After surviving that ordeal, I’ve gained a bit more perspective. Saving a good thing and not using it is the sign of an idiot! If I was to really die one day and I still haven’t had a chance to enjoy all of the good things I have, what would be the point?

“Good things must be used in order to fulfill their value! If you constantly keep them in your storage ring, what’s the difference between an immortal-rank material and an ordinary brick?”

Emperor Qing Hua had another leisurely sip of tea as he spoke.

His words sent An Lin into some deep thought.

He felt like he also had many good things in his storage ring that had not had a chance to fulfill their true value…

“Haha, come to think of it, I was only able to live on because of you, so I really must thank you, Mr. An Lin.” Emperor Qing Hua stroked his long beard as he turned to An Lin with a grateful smile.

“Please don’t say that, Senior Qing Hua. I didn’t do anything worthy of praise or grat.i.tude anyway. All I did was save all the teachers and students, save the Heavenly Court, and save the entire human race.” An Lin immediately waved his hands with a modest expression.

The five emperors’ faces all convulsed slightly.

They were only thanking him for saving their lives and this guy was talking about saving the whole f*cking human race?! And he was saying that he had done nothing worthy of grat.i.tude and praise…

All of the emperors wanted to mock him for his words, but they repressed the urge to do so in the end.

“Er… Hehe…” The Celestial Thearch gave a slightly awkward yet still well-mannered smile. “Mr. An Lin, your performance during that battle had all of us in complete awe. It is no exaggeration at all to say that you saved our lives and saved the Heavenly Court…

“As such, after some discussion, we have decided that all of the Heavenly Court’s mystic realms will be accessible to you from now on, and we are officially bestowing upon you the t.i.tle of Heavenly Court War G.o.d! Furthermore, we also have a huge present for you!”

An Lin was a little taken aback upon hearing this.

Weren’t they supposed to be discussing the Heavenly Wind G.o.d? How had this become a reward ceremony for him?

But then again, he wasn’t entirely against this, hehehe…

“I’m finally the Heavenly Court War G.o.d. I didn’t think this day would come so soon…” An Lin sighed with emotion.

“Oh, right, what about the last War G.o.d, Yang Jian?” An Lin asked.

“He’s no longer the War G.o.d. The Heavenly Court War G.o.d can only be the most powerful immortal below the five emperors. It’s quite clear that you are more powerful than him, and he was more than willing to give up his t.i.tle to you,” the Celestial Thearch replied with a smile.

An Lin chuckled slightly, but he was internally feeling a little dodgy.

If it wasn’t for the system, he didn’t think that he would be able to defeat Yang Jian in a battle.

Yang Jian was a mighty figure at the pinnacle of the Return to Void Stage who could attempt Dao Integration whenever he wanted. He was most likely comparable to the likes of the Ancient Dragon Empress or Ao Xiaowu, perhaps even more powerful.

How was the Soul Formation Stage An Lin supposed to defeat someone like this?

However, An Lin soon shrugged these thoughts off.

He was going to progress to the Return to Void Stage soon. When that time came, Yang Jian would be no match for him!

“By the way, does the Heavenly Court War G.o.d get any benefits?” An Lin asked.

The t.i.tle sounded bad*ss, but he was more interested in materialistic things.

“You may choose any one immortal tool you like from the Heavenly Court’s Heavenly Treasure Vault,” the Celestial Thearch replied.

“Aw, that’s too much… Thank you.” An Lin was elated.

“That’s nothing. The benefits that we, the five emperors, are about to give you are much more valuable than any immortal tools!” Emperor Ziwei spoke in a smug voice upon seeing An Lin’s overjoyed expression.

An Lin’s interest was piqued. “What is it?”

Emperor Ziwei smiled but didn’t say anything.

The other four emperors also smiled at An Lin, but they did not say anything.

An Lin was a little confused. “What is it? Come on, tell me!”

“Hehehe…”

Emperor Ziwei suddenly stripped off his robe, revealing his toned, well-proportioned upper body.

“Wh… what are you doing? Why are you taking off your clothes?” An Lin was starting to panic.

The Celestial Thearch, Emperor Chang Sheng, Emperor Qing Hua, and Emperor Tian Huang were all smiling, and the atmosphere was taking a peculiar turn…

An Lin suddenly felt as if he was wrong to have come here. He was now being surrounded by five extremely powerful beings with no way out!

“I’m taking off my clothes because I want to show you my big treasure.” Emperor Ziwei looked into An Lin’s eyes before approaching him with a sly smile.

An Lin swallowed involuntarily. “Can I not see it?”

“How can you accept our present if you don’t see it?” Emperor Ziwei chuckled.

An Lin’s lips twitched. “So you’re saying this is all part of the present?”

“That’s right.” Ziwei nodded before making an animated announcement, “Take a good look at my big treasure!”

He took a deep breath, and his muscles bulged as a dazzling purple divine light enshrouded the entire Celestial Thearch Palace.

An Lin’s mouth gaped open as he looked at Emperor Ziwei.
