Chapter 94 Her Sad Face

Sheila Hernandez left the Philippines in shame after the stunt she did when Clarence came to officially court her. Her heart desired to go back and reconcile with Clarence but the latter didn't give her a chance, making her morbid to herself.

The scholars.h.i.+p she received from France was her only way to fill her mind and forget her shameful act. She arrived in Charles de Gaulle Airport full of excitement and anxiety. Would she be able to adapt well in this country? Would she enjoy and eventually forget Clarence? Her mind wandered as she tried to find a trolley to carry her baggage.

Just three meters from her, Hugh was there waiting for his cousin Jenna who arrived from the US for a short visit. He saw this beautiful Filipina extending her smooth neck and moving her head left and right as if trying to look for something. She moved to a free trolley but a man pulled it before her. Her face drooped and went back to her things again. Her sad face caught his eye. He thought of helping her but Jenna came running to greet him.

"Hi, Cuz. Help me with my luggage." Jenna threw all her two heavy bags on Hugh's empty hands.

His face went ghastly after receiving them; his arms straightened with the weight. "Ugh, Cuz, what are these? Stones?"

"Haha, exactly. You're a good guesser. Are your eyes like those scanners?" She giggled as she pointed out the x-ray machines.

"For real?" Hugh dropped the bags.

"Goodness, don't easily believe everything I say." She picked her luggage up. "Some of these are my exercise weights. I need them to strengthen my arms and legs for an upcoming Judo Inter-state Compet.i.tion." She carried the heaviest bag with ease. "Here, this is lighter. Carry it." Yet, when Hugh took it, his muscles tensed a bit. It was still heavy.

"Jenna, are you in weightlifting or in a judo compet.i.tion? I doubt the latter to be false."

Jenna squinted her eyes on him and gave him a snub. "How dare you mistake me like those muscled weightlifters. Look," she pointed her body. "I'm still s.e.xy, no folding muscles like those gross bodybuilders." She continued to chatter about her body parts while Hugh looked around to help the pretty lady earlier. His expectations fell when he saw a man helped the girl ahead of him.

'Was that guy someone related to her?'

. . . . .

A while back, as Hugh and Jenna argued about her luggage, Sheila asked the security personnel for help. "Sir, do you know this school?" She showed the name of the Culinary school.

"Sorry, Miss, you better ask a taxi driver." The man said and waved to a free taxicab on the queue. The driver went to them and answered her query and carried her luggage for her. At this moment, Hugh turned her head at Sheila and followed them, ignoring Jenna's chatter. People barred Hugh's vision when the taxi driver placed the bags in the taxi's back compartment and drove away from the airport. Hugh walked faster to catch up with the two but couldn't find them.

"Hey, wait, Big Bro Lucien. Why are you in a hurry?" Jenna followed his head, looking around. "Who are you looking for? A girl?" The male cousin's face became scarlet.

"Hahahahaha, I got ya," Jenna pointed his face which was as red as a cooked shrimp. Her hand was on her belly as her upper body bent laughing her heart out. "Oh my, Cuz. I really miss that red face of yours. Man, girls would lose a blus.h.i.+ng compet.i.tion with you." She continued to laugh making Hugh's face redder as if all of his blood went to his face.

He left her still laughing and went straight to his car. Jenna followed, still laughing.

. . . . .

Sheila arrived at the gate of the school, which looked more like a monastery for her.
