Chapter 90 - Wish Her Good Luck

Sei raised his head when he heard the girl's soft steps coming down the stairs then kept his eyes focused on her as she came closer towards him.

She was dressed nicely as usual. Although her clothes were simple, normal and inexpensive, her natural elegance and unspoiled beauty turned these ordinary clothes into runway masterpieces. She always looked as though she was the model that each and every one of these clothes were originally measured by.

"I'm leaving," she said as soon as she got close to him and the man got up right away to walk her out.

By the time they reached the entrance, a car was already parked out front, just three meters away. Davi then looked at him and he just nodded at her, thus, Davi began walking towards the car.

The butler immediately opened the car's door for her, but she suddenly paused. She turned and looked at the motionless man standing at the entrance, just looking at her quietly.

In the next second, she hastily walked back without taking her eyes off him.

"I need something," she suddenly said, causing the man to become a bit curious and surprised at the same time because the girl was finally asking for something from him.

"What is it?"

"I feel like lady luck isn't on my side today so… give me something to boost my luck, please."

Hearing her words, Sei was speechless. The thoughts going around in his head were about giving her the most expensive car, buying another mansion and even readying himself to purchase a private jet and all she asked for was a luck booster? Huh?

Sei didn't get what exactly she was asking for. Yet Davi still lifted her hand out in front of him as if she was an adorable little girl asking her dad for money to buy some candy.

At that moment, the man just stared silently at her, still trying to figure out what she really wanted, not knowing that Davi was actually on mission mode.

Hinari advised her to do some cute teasing occasionally or even more often if needed. Although she didn't say much about this step, she did remind her not to overdo it and to always make it clear that she was kidding to avoid her actions being misinterpreted.

Sei on the other hand glanced at him and immediately understood what Zaki was trying to convey, causing him to begin wracking his brain to see if she was actually asking for a kiss. Sei then remembered that Davi always gave him a kiss every time he left. That thought convinced him that those kisses must be her way of wis.h.i.+ng him luck and that this time, since she was the one leaving, she must be asking him to kiss her to wish her good luck in return.

Just as Davi was getting ready to execute her kiss and run plan, she was stunned, as if a lightning bolt just struck her hard, because Sei's lips suddenly landed on hers, causing her world to immediately grind to a halt.
