Chapter 77 - No One

By the time Davi finally awakened from the brief shock, she started feeling the warmth of the man hugging her. His strong arms wrapped around her made her feel an indescribable feeling of security.

Davi didn't need to see his face because she could already tell who it was. She knew that no one other than him would come flying to her rescue and most of all, she knew that, no one other than him could warm her entire soul and make her heart flutter wildly.

So, as if time stood still, Davi just hugged him back as tight as she could as she buried herself into his warm embrace.

She couldn't believe that she was saved by him again.

On the other hand, Sei, who was currently looking at Wu Rei, eyes filled with indescribable rage and murderous intent, instantly froze as the deep darkness in his eyes disappeared the moment he felt Davi hug him back as tightly as ever.

The man, who looked exactly like a dark beast from h.e.l.l a second ago, turned into a soft unknown creature in no time. Wu Rei, who immediately felt weak as if he was a rabbit in front of a terrifying lion, felt as if he escaped death just now and was finally able to breathe again.

Wu Rei's frozen brain also started to work again. He was mystified and completely horrified. He never felt this kind of terrifying feeling from anyone else before. The country's general, his father, whom he thought was the scariest person on earth, didn't even reach half the level of bloodl.u.s.t of this man in front of him. He felt like this man could be the devil himself.

However, looking at the devil hugging the wild-girl-turned-submissive-cat in his embrace, doubt flashed across his eyes. Wu Rei, being the only heir of one of the country's richest families, the Yang family, was familiar with all the big names, even the secret ones, yet he was sure he had never seen this man at all. With just one glance, he was certain that this man was not just your average Joe. He could tell just by looking at him that his background might even be greater than what he could imagine. His curiosity about the mysterious man was even greater than his jealousy that he even thought about snapping a photo of him and asking his father to investigate.

Unfortunately, before he could even lift his cellphone, the disguised Zaki appeared in front of him. His gaze was almost as scary as the devil man. His glare was deadly as if telling him that he would die the moment he took the photo.

Wu Rei reflexively stepped back and like a kid who just saw a ghost, he hastily ran back into his car and sped away like an idiot, leaving his unconscious comrade just like that.

Meanwhile, the couple who was immersed in their own world didn't even notice that Wu Rei was long gone until Zaki dragged them back to reality.

"Hey, both of you! You can't just flirt like that in broad daylight. Look! There are kids around staring at you," he said and upon hearing him, Davi jumped and immediately let go of Sei.

However, the moment she raised her head and looked at his face, the world seemed to stand still and her mouth slowly hung open.
