Chapter 69 - Version 2.0

"Are you alright?"

Sei's words broke the long silence, causing Davi to finally snap out of her thoughts. She realized that she had been sitting quietly for a while now that she didn't notice they were already close to Sky Town.

"I'm fine now. I'm just being a bit of a worrywart. Haha." Davi forced a smile as she looked at Sei. However, as though the man could feel the girl's gloominess behind her smile, he suddenly patted her head softly.

At that moment, Davi couldn't help but genuinely smile at him this time. His warm hand was so gentle that her worries seemed to slowly melt away.

She then took a deep breath and stared intently at him.

"To be honest, I really want to go home with you but… I… I…"

Sei patted her head again the moment she paused as a solemn expression flashed across her face.

"It's fine. Stay with him. He needs you," he said causing Davi to feel instantly relieved but at the same time, disappointed. She had been looking forward to the day he would be back and even declared that she would monopolize him tonight, yet she needed to back off now, causing her to feel indescribably sad.

However, she soon coaxed herself thinking that she would surely launch a lovey dovey attack to make up for tonight when she was back.

Wait for me Sei, and you better prepare yourself because I definitely won't show any mercy this time.

"Thank you, I'll make it up to you when I come home," she said as she stared deeply into his eyes.

"Mm"

Shortly after that, the car finally stopped in front of a huge building. They had reached Sky Town already since it was just a few minutes away from the City hospital.

Davi then opened the car door and was about to step out when she turned back and faced Sei.

"I-I'm going," she said and Sei just quietly nodded.

Davi stepped out and the moment she shut the door, she bit her lip tightly. In that moment, she felt as though she didn't want him to go yet. She wanted to stay with him for a while longer.

She gazed at the car's window with a really dull expression and before the car could move, Davi suddenly walked towards the other side of the car and hastily knocked on the window near Sei.

The car's window immediately slid down and Sei curiously moved his head closer. However, before the masked man could even ask what she wanted to say, without any warning, the girl's face immediately moved closer to him and…

She kissed him.

The surprise attack was a bit too fast that she didn't even give him a moment to react.

And before he knew it, the girl had already ran away in a flash, leaving him frozen in an awkward position.

It was another kiss and run. However, it was a little different this time. It was kiss and run version 2.0. The flash kiss on the lips.
