The level of monsters usually increased with how close you were with the Dungeon in the out side world.

If you are just a kilometer away from the dungeon, you might even meet a level four monster if are unlucky enough.

The centaurs were a strong monster race. They had the body of a horse on the lower body and a human upper body.

Their battle skills were mostly in archery. They were blessed with enhanced vision and stable hands, which made it easier to learn archery.

There was a colony of centaurs in between the Red Dungeon and the Harpy Colony. This colony's head was a level two monster and his archery was said to be peerless.

Due to his level and his archery skills, none of the other monster colonies tried to provoke them. Thus the centaurs has a easy life until yesterday.

But right now there colony was facing a huge crisis. A seemingly simple human had appeared near the colony yesterday and asked the guard to let him pa.s.s through their colony's core.

He said it would make his journey faster, but the centaur guard was enraged by his behavior and attacked him. The guard only wanted to teach a lesson to this ignorant human.

But the next moment he fell down without a head. The other centaurs went crazy after this. They were a strong colony and even the other monster colony heads in the vicinity dared not kill them.

But this seemingly weak human had killed one of them, they took out their bows and shot their arrows.

With the black knife in his hands, the human dodged the arrows swiftly as he closed on to the nearest centaur.

This centaur met the same fate as the guard, his body fell down without a head.

The angry centaurs took out a strange looking sh.e.l.l and blew into it. A loud whistle could be heard throughout the colony as the centaur blew the sh.e.l.l. this was signal to indicate a strong intruder.

The human was not disturbed by the sound and continued killing the centaurs one by one.

In the time he killed ten centaurs, he would be pierced by at least twenty arrows.

The human would pluck the arrows out of his body as soon as it enters. The wound left by the arrow would heal fast and there would not be any damage left.

After twenty of their comrade's death, the centaurs felt scared. They were scared of the human and his black knife.

As they were looking at the human with fear, a group of centaurs rushed towards the battle scene.

They first saw the dead centaurs and their scared out comrades. Their eyes blazed in anger as they finally laid their eyes on the human.

Seeing this new group of centaurs, the previously scared centaurs relaxed. This group of new centaurs were all level one monsters.

They had hundred times the strength of a rank zero monsters like them. They once again readied their bows and shot towards the human.

The human did not have, much reaction to the presence of the level one monsters, he just kept running around the battle field killing the monsters as he saw fit.

Suddenly a arrow hundred times stronger and faster than others, pierced the human's heart and smashed his chest to a pulp.

The shockwave threw the human's body back. He only stopped flying back when his back smashed into a huge tree.

The human coughed out some blood and went still.

"What are you doing? Go burn that d.a.m.n human's body." The level one centaur who shot the arrow yelled at the lower centaurs.

The centaurs immediately bowed and made their way to the human's dead body.

As the centaurs closed in, the human suddenly opened his eyes. This scared the centaurs so much that they stumbled and fell down, even though they had four legs and are quite stable.

The human looked pale, like he was about to die. He slowly raised his black knife and spoke. "It's an honor to be defeated by the invincible centaur race."

"But I am unwilling to be killed by another weapon. This black knife had followed me all my life. If possible I ask the one who shot the arrow to use this knife to take my last breath." The human looked at the level one centaur with respect in his eyes.

The level one centaur nodded his head. To be alive when your heart was destroyed was not something easy.

So the level one monster believed that the human was using all his will power to stay alive, only to be killed with his own black knife.

He closed in on the human and spoke with a dignified voice, "even though you killed my colony mates, you deserve a painless death as a true warrior, now give me the knife." The level one monster stretched his hand forward to take the black knife.

The human smiled weakly as he extended his right hand which was carrying the black knife. The next moment, the level one centaur's body fell down without a head.

The human then cut the part where the heart was present and put his left hand inside.

"Ah! The blood essence of a level one centaur is much better than the level one wolf."

The human felt his body strengthening and his vision becoming even more clear. In the past he had not noticed it but, whenever his left hand absorbed blood essence from a monster, the positive characteristics from the monster are transferred to his body.

For example when he absorbed the wolf King's blood essence, his body was strengthened just like the wolf's.

Right now he got the centaur's excellent vision. The other dumbfounded centaurs finally roared and shot their arrows at him.

With better vision and stability, the human dodged the arrows better and killed faster. Once in a while he gets struck by the arrow shot by the level one centaur and flies back due to impact.

But he did not stop charging as soon as he stabilised. It was a b.l.o.o.d.y battle but the winner was already decided.

A Centaur was looking at this b.l.o.o.d.y scene from far. He noticed the unusual healing property of the human's body and squinted his eyes.

He was the centaur lord, a level two centaur. Being a level two monster, he knew things that a lot of people did not.

But even with his vast knowledge he did not hear anything about a human who could heal unlimitedly.

Finally making his decision he moved towards the human, sprinting on his four horse legs.

This human was none other than our Sky. He was on his way to the Red Dungeon to increase his strength faster.
