16 Operation Lock Chris Up!

"Sir, we have arrived at the safe spot," The man who previously took a peek at the computer said respectfully as he opened the door for Chris.

's.h.i.+t, I need to hurry up or else Chloe is going to be sold!'

Chris thought about what to do, but immediately he hit his forehead.

'I'm f.u.c.king dumb! The system was right there the entire time! System hack into the Abyss Auction and get every single bit of information I need for this case!'

-The System can do so, but doing so will make the system take one reward for the mission randomly taken away. The System will also take away 5000 Hacker Point for this action leaving Host with 101,650 Hacker Points. Will Host make the purchase?-

Chris became troubled.

'I could do it myself... But Chloe is in danger. Aghh! I'm just going to hope that the system will take away the lottery ticket. System, I'll make the purchase,'

-Thank you for the purchase. Host now has 101,650 Hacker Points remaining. In 5 seconds, there will be a folder beneath the Tor browser shortcut. Inside the folder will be all the information that Host wants. However, in order to finish the mission "Do not Let Evil Get Away", Host must be physically there and help the FBI arrest the main gang involved in the kidnappings.-

Chris' face paled as he heard the message.

'System, are you saying that I have to face against people with guns?'

-Yes, as you have used the system to make a mission easier, the difficulty has went up. This will be so for most missions given by the system. There will only be some missions where the system will allow you to use it to make it easier. However, this mission was too easy, but Host has decided to use the system so a punishment must be added.-

'I remember clearly that you said to use you to have fun with life or something along those lines,'

-Host, you have to remember that even if the System is installed, you have to do menial tasks such as this. If Host cannot even do this, Host will be in huge trouble for later quests.-

Chris simply had nothing to say and closed the computer. He left the car to enter the building.

The man that opened Chris' door closed it and went ahead of Chris to guide him. As Chris was following the man, he called Sarah.

Ring! Ring! Ring! Ring!

"Do you have any updates on the situation?" Sarah's voice was calm as if nothing in the world could faze her.

"Can you at least greet the person like a normal person would do on a phone call?" Chris asked wryly.

"We don't have time for that," Sarah said indifferently. "Besides don't you want to save Chloe as fast as possible?"

"You're right. Alright, I'll get to the point. I do have the data that you need. Everything from the gang members to the location of each and every person is in a folder that I created for you. I'll send it to you on one condition,"

"You're working for me. I don't think you get to make these conditions,"

"Hmph, I think I need to find out a bit more about these gangs before turning in the information to you,"

On the other side, in a hallway where it was devoid of people, Sarah frowned.

"Alright, I'll let you set a condition," Sarah said after some hesistation. "However, if it's too unreasonable then I'm going to deny it. If you refuse to give me it, then I'll just find another hacker,"

"Alright," Chris said "After you're done reviewing the information, I want to be part of the operation team to save the girls,"

"No, no, I refuse to allow you to even be close to the operations team. You are a normal citizen that we have hired to do a technical job. Any physical job will never be done by someone doing any computer work even if they are actually part of the FBI let alone a civilian like you,"

"I knew you would say that. However, right now you don't have a lot of time. Students are going missing at a fast rate. I'm sure that you need the information as fast as possible," Chris said with a smile as if he controlled everything this time.

Sarah's frown got bigger and her voice started to get a bit louder.

"Do you want to die? These gangs are not something you should mess with. As long as they know your face, they will find out everything about you and they will kill everyone precious to you. Your family, your friends, and if they feel dissatisfied, they will kill people that you barely know. Do you want to risk all of that?"

"I'm willing to risk it,"

"You selfish p.r.i.c.k! This is not just your own life! This is also about other people's lives as well!" Sarah finally snapped and started to scream.

"I'm doing this because I think I'm strong enough. You should know me by now. I don't take risks. I only do something if it's something I can completely do and even if I can't I can get out unscathed,"

Sarah stayed silent. After a minute, she finally spoke again.

"I will let you come with us on the mission. However, you are a secret force that I have hired for the sake of this mission. If you somehow die or get heavy injuries in this mission, it is nothing related to the FBI. The police will go to your family saying that it was a car accident Also, if you get even a tiny scratch, all the reward money will be taken away and even if the mission succeeds, you will not get any money. Understood? I'm only letting you do this because you have helped us many times and it seems that you are extremely confident. I really want to see where all your arrogance is coming from,"

Hearing this Chris smiled.

"Understood,"
