Chapter 414 - The Place Where Providence Converged

414 The Place Where Providence Converged

He raised his head and looked ahead, but a strange color glowed in his eyes. “Our destination is not far ahead.”

With the Dragon Seeking Formula, one could determine the providence of a particular area. Providence, in popular terminology, could also be termed as an aura or spiritual energy.

In Ye Lingchen’s eyes, a spot right ahead was where the mountain’s spiritual energy was strongest.

Generally speaking, the aura of a particular place should be evenly distributed, and even if that were not the case, it should not have been too stark of a difference. That mountain however, deviated from the norm, as almost 50% of its aura was concentrated in one place.

That was something to be feared.

Ye Lingchen could see that there was a faint flow of purple energy from the sky at that area, which was a sign of providence formed due to having too much spiritual energy. Meanwhile, other areas were silent.

That was why no fish could be seen along the way.

That was because animals had a higher sensitivity to aura and would naturally converge toward a place with rich aura.

If he refined Qi at that place, he would get twice the result with half the effort. At the same time, Ye Lingchen thought about whether the purple qi coming from the east that morning had something to do with the abnormality there.

Just when the two women were beginning to feel out-of-breath and exhausted, their eyes suddenly lit up after they went up the slope. In front of them was a small waterfall lake, with a radius of about three meters. The lake received water from above to form a small waterfall, with the water subsequently flowing downstream.

Around the waterfall lake were stones, trees, and flowers. It could be regarded as a kind of utopia, which far surpa.s.sed those five-star tourist parks advertised in public.

“Wow, it’s so beautiful!” Zhao Liangying and Hu Yue’er shouted in unison. They were instantly captivated by the scenery.

That was a pure work of nature. It was a shock that far surpa.s.sed that of landscape gardens.

Plop!

At that moment, water splashed and a shadow leaped up from the water before falling quickly into the lake.

“It’s a fis.h.!.+ There really are fish here!” Hu Yue’er got excited immediately and licked her lips. “The fish in this pool of water are so active. They must be very plump.”

“I can’t wait, I’m going to try it.” Zhao Liangying’s inner foodie was out in display. Without any hesitation, she rolled her trousers up and stepped on the edge of the lake. Her eyes stared at the water without blinking and she was ready to catch some fish.

[Wow, this is a Fengshui paradise. So beautiful!]

[G.o.d Ye is awesome. Amazingly, he could find such a place. How did he know that there were fish there?]

[This truly is nature at its purest. We humans have destroyed too many of nature’s wonders.]

[Baby Ying is so cute. Hahaha. I’ll sit here and wait for Baby Ying to catch the fish.]

[Upstairs, are you sure Baby Ying will catch the fish and not the other way around?]

“I’ll help you!” Hu Yue’er was also excited. She lifted her trousers, but before she could step into the water, Ye Lingchen caught hold of her.

“Can you enter the water in your state?” Ye Lingchen asked and chastised. “No wonder you’re in pain during this period.”

Hu Yue’er’s pretty face blushed, and only then did she realize that she should never touch cold water in her present state.

She stuck her tongue out, but there was a hint of sweetness in her heart.

Snapped!

Zhao Liangying seized the right moment and slammed down. She looked fierce, but the lethal force was completely absent. Except for a large splash of water, she did not even manage to come within a whisker of the fish.

She could not afford to be discouraged, so her eyes flashed with an increasingly spirited glow. Her playful heart was starting to get excited.

Ye Lingchen did not join in. He frowned instead and looked around, but did not notice anything special.

Originally, he thought there were high-quality ingredients such as thousand-year-old ginseng, or spiritual things such as fine-quality jade in that area. After scanning the surroundings however, he was still unable to discover the reason for the strong spiritual energy there.

Despite that, he did not think much of it. Fengshui was essentially very vague to begin with, but what aroused his interest then were some herbs.

It might be because of the aura there that caused the vegetation to grow better than in any other place.

“Lingchen, what are you doing? Aren’t you here to catch fish?” Zhao Liangying had been busy attempting to catch them for quite some time and her face was flushed. She looked at Ye Lingchen with rosy cheeks, “These fish are bullying me.”

Each fish from the shoal was quite sizable. They played around in the water pool and seemed to swim rather languidly, but whenever Zhao Liangying pounced on them, they would slip and swim away in an instant. Then, they would gather at Zhao Liangying’s feet, as if to mock her.

“Enough playing? Come up if you’ve had your fill. This lake looks quite deep. Don’t fall down,” Ye Lingchen said.

“The lake doesn’t look big. Is it really deep?” Zhao Liangying and Hu Yue’er both looked at the waterfall lake curiously.

“Look at the color of the water. Doesn’t the color become darker as it goes to the middle? At the middlemost, it becomes dark blue. Generally speaking, the deeper the color, the more light it absorbs, which in turn means that it’s even deeper,” Ye Lingchen explained.

“Oh. You know so much, Lingchen.” Zhao Liangying smiled and said. She walked out of the water with her bare feet.

Hu Yue’er raised her brow slightly, as she noticed that Zhao Liangying’s called Ye Lingchen ‘Lingchen’ instead of ‘G.o.d Ye’. That woman really wanted to get closer to him.

She subsequently asked, “What should we do, Lingchen? Can we catch fish?”

“It’s easy to catch fish.” Ye Lingchen smiled and glanced at the direction of the waterfall lake. The water flowed downstream along an opening.

After pondering for a moment, he walked forward, found a few stones from the sh.o.r.e, and arranged them in a row at the opening. He arranged them in a strange pattern, then raised his eyes to look at Hu Yue’er’s neck. “Can you lend me the jade pendant hanging from your neck?”

Hu Yue’er was watching curiously as Ye Lingchen fiddled with everything. Upon hearing that question, she could not help but feel slightly taken aback.

“Mm, yes.” She took off the jade pendant and handed it to Ye Lingchen.

“Exquisitely white jade. Warm and translucent. This is a really good piece of jade!” Ye Lingchen picked up the jade pendant and could not help but comment. It matched with Hu Yue’er’s temperament and fragrance.

“This was pa.s.sed to me by my mother.” Once the jade pendant reached Ye Lingchen’s hand, Hu Yue’er’s face blushed and she made that soft remark.

“This jade can be treated as a family heirloom,” Ye Lingchen nodded. He did not know much about jade, but with the Dragon Seeking Formula, he could clearly feel the aura in that jade. It was dense and gentle. The saying that jade could be used to nurture a person was not a fallacy.

Ye Lingchen did not say much but simply placed the jade in the center of the pattern he built with those stones. He then said, “Next, you only need to put the hand net in front of the opening where the water flows. Fish will swim into the net on their own.”
