43 Jennifer Aniston 3

Either accompanies you to the movie or loses the chance to become a star.

She knows how hard it is to get notice in Hollywood even with her looks. Both of her father and mother have warned her about this. It is the road they have travelled before.

Jennifer reluctantly joins the two girls in the backseat. Their name is Jessica and Emma. They are about 17 years of age – still in high school.

You didn't mind their age, since it is close enough. You are a bit surprised that they went to the same high school as you, however. You wonder if your teacher is still teaching there. She is one h.e.l.l of a s.e.xy babe.

"Hey. Hey. Are you a music producer as well?"

Jessica asks Mark.

"Can you introduce us to Christina? I love her voice. It is so moving, so touching. Did she write the song herself?"

Emma adds.

Only the most talented people are both singer and songwriter.

Some are even composer themselves.

There is a different between composer and songwriter.

Composers are all songwriters, but not every songwriter is a composer.

"Heh. Yes, I am. Mark Mason is the name. Christina is an angel. She is only 10 years old you know? She already sings that well. Can you imagine what her voice will be like when she is older?"

Mark responses. He begins talking to the two girls, trying to get to know them.

It takes a while for red strings to manifest from their bodies, connecting to your friend, telling you that they have developed some feelings for him. It is hard not to.

Your friend even offers them to visit his workplace at Ocean Way Recording.

"Oh my G.o.d! Oh my G.o.d! Oh my G.o.d! Can we, really? Really?"

Jessica and Emma both screams in delight at the offer.

"Sure. Maybe you can try some of our songs and see what it takes to become famous singers."

The two girls scream louder, making you wince.

You wouldn't say that their vocal skill is nonexistence, but they wouldn't be someone you spend time and energy nurturing. Their vocal is at E-rank, meaning they will never ever be singers.

Well, they could use their mouth for something else.

A hard c.o.c.k in their throat right now will shut them up.

You didn't join in the conversation and let your friend takes the lead.

Instead, you cast a few glances at Jennifer, who matches your gaze briefly.

She is feeling down because she is essentially being blackmailed.

Once again, she must degrade herself in order to get ahead. She has thought she only needed to do it one time only. She couldn't imagine that the sitcoms got cancelled so quickly.

Were the sitcoms that bad?

Yes, they were.

If you were her agent, you would have stop her from auditioning and find her something better. Sadly, her former agent is an idiot. She naively falls for his sweet words and compliments and suggestions.

Jennifer is smarter now. Sweet words and compliments will not be as effective like before.

Only cold, hard and logical facts do.

She did wonder how you knew. No one should know about it besides those who are involved.

You about to cheer Jennifer up when your phone rings. The caller is someone you cannot ignore.

"h.e.l.lo, uncle George."

The greeting causes Jennifer to raise her head. The girls also stop talking.

"Get your a.s.s over here right now!"

George practically shouts into the phone.

He is p.i.s.sed as he should be.

His phone has been ringing all morning, begging to buy the copyright to a song he has no f.u.c.king clue about. All the conversation he had ended awkwardly as he tells some of the most powerful people in the music industry that he will call them back.

That is political suicide, considering his position.

More than that, George didn't like to be keep in the dark.

He must be in control all the time.

"I'm sorry, uncle George. I'm heading to a business meeting with my crews right now. Can I drop by in the evening?"

You distance your ear from the phone and allow George to shout to his heart contents. You only smile and wink at the girls in the backseat, especially Jennifer.

This confirms your connection to George Lucas. You even called him in a familial manner, implying the relations.h.i.+p you have is not only business.

Once George calms down, you continue speaking.

"If it is about the song that have been playing all morning on the radio, you don't need to get upset. It is all business. I can give you total control of the creative license and distribution right for the song in exchange for another 1% of the box office. This will let you have some say to people who call, and on the personal level, you also have leverage over them. You did mention that you are interested in the music industry."

You know this because George Lucas is currently dating Linda Ronstadt, who is a singer and songwriter because she is very talented.

She is also insanely popular.

George is very fond of her. They do go well together.

Perhaps it is time for history to change for the better.

George takes a moment to think. He eventually comes around since it is an offer that grants him many benefits.

However, one wonder hit is not enough for him to step into the music industry.

"Don't worry about that, uncle George. I have composed a dozen more songs. Each one of them is as good if not better than the one being air right now."

You pause for a moment.

"As for singers, I have a very good eye for such things. Do you believe me that the singer is just a little girl?"

George is beyond shocked. He has heard the song and he could not believe that the voice belongs to a child.

"I don't need to lie to you about this, uncle George. The girl name is Christina Aguilera. She is 10 years old this year. Her voice already surpa.s.ses that of even Madonna. She can carry an entire company on her own, especially with a few songs I have in mind for her. She isn't the only one I have my eye on."

George swallows the lump in his throat.

He couldn't imagine what you are saying is the truth.

However, he knows your personality. You didn't need to lie about these things.

"If this is true. Why are you trying so hard to be a director? You can go very far as a music producer."

He asks out of curiosity. With your mother as the head of an advertis.e.m.e.nt company, you could use her to promote your clients and their songs easily.

"Because I love watching movies and I love making them. And who say I can't be a music producer as well as a director? If I have money and connections like you, uncle George, I can be even more than that. I really appreciated the fact that you believe in me. Just believe in me again and I will not let you down."

George decides he has much to gain.

"Have you sign her up yet?"

"That is for you to decide, uncle George. You can use my company, Delight Records, to sign her up. It is already registered. If you don't want to, you can use your own. I don't mind."

George chuckles.

"As if I can use my own, you b.a.s.t.a.r.d. You force all the radio stations to say that the company behind the song is Delight Records in order to broadcast it. Changing the company right now is impossible."

You smile as he explains why it is not possible.

The integrity of a label must be maintained regardless of the cost.

"Ah. I didn't think it that far."

You apologize.

"I thought I should use the song to make my company known publicly. I didn't think it would create so many problems. I'm sorry to be a bother, uncle George. I will drop by your place tonight to apologize in person. Oh, I have someone I want to introduce you to as well."

Once that is done, you bid farewell to George Lucas.

You then look back at the backseat, eyeing all the three girls, one by one.

Jennifer is the last person you pay attention to.

She is the only person you are interested in amongst the girls.

"So, who wants to meet George Lucas?"
