The captain of the guards carried the young prince on his shoulder, not caring if he had offended his liege. He then placed the prince on a horseback, while deflecting attacks from his side with his double edge sword. He ordered his companions at his side: “Everyone, counterattack!——“

The scene was an utter chaos. The young prince was frightened till his complexion turned pale, a sharp slash of air came from the back of his ears. How could a pampered and well protected prince not tremble in fear?

Although he was a prisoner of war, the young prince is unexpectedly not that afraid. He climb down and pretended to indignantly say: “I have nothing to do with it! They are the one who insisted on taking me by force, return to your Chu Jing King and inform him, that the thought of running away never occurred to me.”

The Chu Jing group commanding officer’s eyes flashes a trace of disdain. He replied expressionlessly: “Humbly asking the third prince of Bei Ling to allow us to take you back to the palace.”

The prince desperately implored that he had no partic.i.p.ation and pleaded innocence in one breath, standing up while patting the dust off his body.

Someone then said: “Get to cover Ming Qiang Yi, its difficult to defend you from sneak attack–” These words said were not lies at all. All of a sudden, everyone unusually quieting down. A drawn arrow from the bushes flew above the crowd of more than a dozen, aimed straight to the young prince’s chest. They tried but it was too late to guard against it. By the time they turned around, the arrow already fatally pierced the weak and fragile chest of the prince.

They could only hear an excruciating scream, as a dark red blood promptly dyed the cream colored silk robe thoroughly. The young prince was flabbergasted as he slowly stares at the tail of the arrow. He gasps few times till he’s paralyze then fell down.
