17 Chapter 17: Hidden Power

She fell asleep after having a tour in this place and after meeting the other G.o.ddesses.

I didn't know if she's happy or not awhile ago. She kept on laughing and smiling but I . . . didn't know. It looks like her eyes tell the other way around.

I entered the huge room that was built really for her. Its interior was made up of red, white, and silver colors.

I found her sleeping on the white master's bed. I sat beside her and stared at her.

Her face was so peaceful like she has no burden on both of her shoulders.

"You can make it, Scarlette," I whispered and tried to touch her cheeks.

But she suddenly spoke, "Dad, I miss you. Please. Come back."

She's crying . . . in her dreams.

I wiped her tears gently using my right thumb.

"Shush. We'll find him. Don't worry."

Her cries stopped.

I smiled as I kissed her forehead before I stood up and left her.

I went to the secured room where the Hetar sword could be found. I was sure that Aunt Er was there right now.

When I opened the silver double door, I saw her staring at the floating sword on the center of the room. Her back was facing me so I didn't know what was her expression while looking at it.

"Is she already awake?" she asked, still not facing me.

I shook my head as my response.

"Why are you here then?"

I sighed. "When?"

She took a glance of me and raised her left brow. "What 'when'?"

"When will we save Uncle Max? We already know where to find him."

"How?" She faced me. "Tell me, how? How can we enter that Underworld if we don't know how to destroy Durlen's spell?"

I didn't answer. I remained silent.

"We used our powers but these are useless against it," she said firmly. "If I could only kill that traitor right away, I'll do it . . . " She clenched her fists.

SCARLETTE'S POINT OF VIEW

"TOK! TOK! TOK!"

I waked up in no time because of the continuous knocks on the door. I opened it immediately as I yawned and not minding what I looked like.

"What—" My mouth gaped open when I realized that it was Asher. "—the h.e.l.l?"

He smiled sweetly and uttered, "Cute."

In a split of seconds, I became conscious of my looks. I turned my back to him. "Why are you here?" I asked, ignoring what the one word he said.

"Your Mom asked me to wake you up because she has something to tell you."

"Okay. Just wait."

I closed the door and fixed myself. When I was done, I went out and locked the door.

"Let's go." From leaning on the wall beside the door, he stood up straightly and started walking.

I just followed him until we entered a silver double door. The huge room was empty . . . literally.

"What is this room for?" I asked.

"For the sacred sword that soon will be yours."

I felt nervous upon hearing that.

"Scarlette." I looked at that someone who called my name – it's Mom. She's standing in the middle of this room. She's smiling at me. In front of her was a floating sword.

I came to where she was. I stared at the glowing sword.

"It's the Hetar Sword."

"It's enchanting, Mom."

"This sword is very powerful because of this crystal." She pointed her finger to the colorless crystal that was place on the lower part of its holder. "That's the heart of my father and your grandfather, the late G.o.d – Od. This crystal is called Odentia Crysthalias. It contains different powers in any elements. And if this was got broken . . . " She moved closer to me and whispered, " . . . the whole universe will be destroyed."
