5 Quanheng Sec

Dark Lord An Shenyuan and Light Mistress Guang Liang turn their heads only to see the founder of Quanheng Sect is running towards them with flush cheeks. Light Mistress Guang smiles sweetly as she watches her master sprinting towards them rather excitedly while the man standing next to her suddenly puts his arm on her waist.

Ancestor Zu sees this and snorts in disgust, "An Shenyuan, there is no need for you to pull a long face upon seeing this old man. All these years I have been raising all of you on my own ..."

Dark Lord An just stare at the rather childlike young man and says, "Master, all these years, we have been taking care of ourselves rather well. We are the one who been taking care of you."

"Why you ungrateful brat!?!?!? Liang'er... Look at your insolent husband!"

Light Mistress An laughs and says, "Master, you have been cultivating in seclusion for quite some time now... Are you hungry? I will ask older sister Qing to prepare something for you."

Ancestor Zu look around and ask, "Where are the others? Qing'er! Qian'er! Ji'er!"

Waves of laughter can be heard coming from a nearby distance. Footsteps can be heard coming towards them as well.

"Master, after all these years, you are still biased. Your female disciples are much more important than us, the male disciples."

Snow Lord Xue Yongheng shakes his head as if to show his disappointments while the other Lords laugh (except for Dark Lord An).

Ancestor Zu watches each of his male disciples, one by one. How could he not care and love his female disciples more? They treated him not only as their master but, they are more like his own daughters too. His male disciples have been nothing but brats.

Earth Mistress Tu Qianqian then says, "Liang'er, we've heard about your intention to take a disciple. Qiji'er has said that young girl seems to be quite ordinary with no signs of any cultivation nor attribute."

Water Lord Shui Ningjing look at Dark Lord An before he looks at Light Mistress Guang, "Is this related to that incident that occurred a few days ago? About 'rise from the dead' prophecy? All of us have a vision that someone with a broken soul has been reborn... Is it her?"

Dark Lord An then says, "She is indeed the one with broken soul. I have seen in her eyes... All I can see is emptiness. It will be dangerous for her to continue being without any guidance."

Fire Mistress Huo Qing nods her head in agreement, "If that is the case, it will be better for all of us to teach her as well."

Air Lord Kong Wuxing and Snow Lord Xue Yongheng continues to listen and nod their heads in agreement as well.

Ancestor Zu seems to be thinking of something before he says, "Shenyuan... Liang'er... You have been married for almost 10 years now, this old man thinks that it will be better if the two of you are willing to not only be teaching her but be her adoptive parents as well. That poor child will not be treated right by her own family members and will greatly suffer before she dies."

Light Mistress An's beautiful pair of eyes sparkle in delight. As much as she wanted to have a child of her own, she is terribly scared in the idea of giving birth when she saw her late mother gave birth to a stillborn with incomplete features then bled to death soon after. Deep in her heart, she is grateful that she never get pregnant even after years of being married to Dark Lord An.

Dark Lord An look at his wife with a loving gaze though still displaying his usual unsmiling face. His beloved wife always thought that 'fate' did not allow them to have a child of their own but, upon knowing her fear of giving birth, he had instructed Herbal Mistress Xuan to make him a generous amount of infertility herbal concoction in secret.

"Beloved wife, I think that old man is speaking the right thing for once. Both of us have seen that little girl. I am quite fond of her from the first sight."

Light Mistress An then says, "Really? Actually... I am finding myself to be quite taken by her as well. Such a lovely child indeed."

Ancestor Zu smiles but he feels a rising feeling of worry inside his heart. According to his vision, the broken soul is indeed a rare occurrence but, if her heart buries in hate, it can be disastrous for everyone including them. All he can hope is that his strongest disciples can prevent the unthinkable from ever happening.
