28 Chapter 28 - The Wolf And The Nomad

Zaro could sense the nomad staring at him but he didn't do anything because he was in the middle of going through another transformation. He could feel that the essence in his core was now much greater and was currently having a breakthrough!

Meanwhile, Zara was unsure of what to do and slowly descended back into the hole causing everyone to look at her strangely.

"What is it? Did the barrier shatter?!" Yizar called out but she simply shook her head.

"It is a wolf..." she whispered quietly in case the wolf heard them and gestured her hand for everyone to keep it down.

"A wolf... perhaps you should try to conversate with it Yizar?" Gerald said and the others had confused expressions on their faces.

"No, absolutely not."

"You have done it once before! Perhaps you just have to bribe it like last time!" Tauren added which caused everyone to look at one another as if they were insane.

"What are you talking about?" Oken called out.

"You see, Yizar met a wolf before that was intent on killing us but we got away after Yizar exchanged some items with it..." Tauren tried explaining.

"I only have one more item that the wolf would like! It won't be enough to save us all if I do try something like that! Plus it might not be the same wolf as before!" Yizar angrily snarled in a whisper.

"Yizar, please, if it even has the smallest chance of saving us..." Tara said with grief but the others were being very skeptical about the whole situation and felt like it would not be a good idea to leave the hole but at the same time felt like they would have nowhere to run if the wolf came inside.

Yizar sighed and nodded his head, they were incredibly vulnerable at the moment and if it didn't work he would be able to at least lead the wolf away from the hole. He cursed silently but then left the hole and was amazed to see a beautiful wolf with long thick fur and a majestic aura around it!

The wolf then opened its eyes and immediately struck fear into his body and soul, he wanted to just disappear right now! The wolf was at least five meters tall in the sitting position and its pupils were the size of his own head!

"It is you again..." Zaro said but he did not move as his transformation was still taking place and definitely didn't want to start a fight with the nomad.

"You know me?!" Yizar managed to say but mumbled some of the p.r.o.nunciation and his body was trembling all over again.

"The same nomad that I had met in a hole previously... quite ironic don't you think?" he said in a serious tone but Yizar had relaxed a little bit when he heard those words.

"Did you see that beast?" Yizar figured that it was a better idea to prolong a conversation with Zaro for the sake of living even a bit longer as he remembered the same wolf say that he would kill him if he saw him again.

"Yes, the dimension devouring beast... quite a terrifying existence I must say."

"Yes, yes! Terrifying indeed! So... so, what have you come here..." Yizar said and shuddered slightly because Zaro's fur was growing slightly longer around his neck and his eyes were becoming much more threatening.

Meanwhile, Zaro was rejoicing because he could sit in the same spot without anyone disrupting his transformation! He also decided to prolong the conversation, "I once again felt your presence... you must have an item on you which attracts much attention do you not?" Zaro was hoping for the best and honestly didn't know if he had any more items.

"Oh... that would explain everything and perhaps the boar attack too... I'm such a fool! Here, take it if you wis.h.!.+" Yizar pulled out from his bag another flask and placed it in front of Zaro which had remained still.

"What is it exactly?" Zaro replied calmy but he was honestly shaking with excitement on the inside!

"This is a part of a sapphire core in a liquid form! I was going to use it once I reached the suitable level but I know I will be past my prime at that point... you may have it but in return please spare me and my comrades..." Yizar crossed his fingers and hoped for the best.

Zaro felt like his transformation was just about to complete and told Yizar, "I will leave you alone, do not worry, however, I would like you to bring out all of your people," Zaro demanded but Yizar was extremely hesitant because he didn't know if he would do anything to them.

"I must have your absolute word that nothing will happen to-"

"Now," Zaro interrupted him and watched as he scampered back into the hole with sweat dripping from head to toe.

The others were all staring at him in horror as they heard what he had said at the end before he was cut off by a growl, "So?" Tara quickly asked.

"He wants us to line up in front of him," Yizar said with his eyes focused on the ground.

"What for!?" Oken shouted and was very suspicious about what was about to happen.

"We either die now or we die later... we have no choice and if he does attack we at least have the opportunity to run," Yizar said and then cursed at the end.

The group unwillingly left the hole and walked out as Zaro enjoyed the horrified expressions they had on them as they left one by one. Zaro didn't even want to kill them but if he got to see their scared looks it would be extremely funny!

The whole group walked out and lined up in front of him, side by side and Zaro started laughing hysterically when he saw one of the nomads wet themselves! It was cruel but Zaro decided to increase his confidence because he had lost it all after seeing that terrifying dragon-hawk beast.

His transformation completed and he smiled to himself but to others, he just revealed his killing weapons... his teeth. The group were now shuddering in horror, now, Zaro had to figure out what he wanted to do with them and then he had an idea!

"Yizar was it?" he called out.

"Yes! Yizar... what is the reason for doing this?" he said while being pressured by everyone around him.

"I would like all of you to bring me as many high-quality herbs as you can within the time it takes for the sun to reach its highest in the sky, after that, I will let you all live freely but also, I will give you all something else along with your lives."

The others looked at Yizar with wide eyes and wondered what the wolf was grumbling about and Yizar had simply nodded his head and faced the group, "The wolf wants high-quality herbs... go get them?"

The group looked at Yizar in silence and then ran around the forest looking for herbs literally as if their lives depended on it.

After an hour or so, they had brought a large bundle of herbs in front of him and he picked off the ones that didn't seem to have much essence coming from them and kept the better quality ones so that he could make a pill from them along with the liquid sapphire core.

However, in everyone else's perspective, they felt like he was picking away the cores that didn't meet the mark and felt like he was going to kill whoever brought him terrible ones.

Zaro raised his head and told them all to return into the hole and only come out once they heard him howling. They all did so and hated it, they were being pushed around by an animal and couldn't do anything about it and definitely didn't want to be his slaves forever.

Once they entered, Zaro had picked some herbs and moved the flask closer and began creating a pill from the materials. It was surprisingly easier as if he had a breakthrough in pill forging as well which would be a pleasant surprise.

However, no matter how easy it was, it took a lot of concentration and time until he had finally created a few pills. Three which he swallowed and refined and the others were merely made from the leftover herbs.

One of the pills he refined had the name 'Blessed Angel Root Pill' and had a different aura to it from the other pills. Once he was done consuming the pills he called for the nomads which were surprised to see a few pills laying on the floor in front of him and then he had just left?

"Did he just create some herbal pills?!" Tara said in disbelief.

"I think he just did..." Yizar responded also feeling quite amazed.

There were seven pills although they were incomparable to the other ones that he made, they were considered priceless treasures by the nomads which didn't know how to create pills whatsoever!
