My conversation with cooks from Lumon town paused for a while as we arrive at the kitchen. And during our walk to the kitchen, I noticed the female cooks from Lumon town, Sarah, sometimes take a glance to me. I wonder if she attracted to me but somehow her reaction is not like a girl that likes a man. It's not my first time that girls take a glance to me secretly, in fact, most young maids in our castle always steal a glance to me when we pa.s.sed to each other, and when I take a look back at them mostly they lowered their head and blushing. But for this girl, Sarah, when I take a look back to her, she just shifted her gaze to somewhere else without making any blush on her face. This definitely not related with like or love.

Her stare also not a malicious one or hostile stare either because I can't sense any killing intent from her. From this point, at least I can be a.s.sured that she's not come here to a.s.sa.s.sinate our VIP guest by put poison in our food. But that doesn't mean I can lower my guard against her, she doesn't show any hostile or killing intent now didn't mean she will not show that later, I just need to be careful and give her extra attention. If possible I also need to dig about her information from her companion, but of course, I can't ask it at Mr. Coles in front of her. I need a proper time and place to ask about her to Mr. Coles later. Stay vigilant is a must in this important event for Harvard castle.

To describe what I feel about her right now maybe like feeling being stared by a stalker. No, stalker still not an appropriate word to describe it because its something like curiosity, rivalry, and jealousy mixed into one. These stealing glances happen several times, sometimes she just moves her gaze, sometimes she just looks back at me with plain expression when I caught her looking at me. Well, I should be careful now better than sorry later for this matter.

I immediately find Mrs. Martina to explain the situation to her.

"Mrs. Martina, we get some helper from Lumon town. They come here to learn cooking from Harvard castle and we can use them to help us during the welcoming event, banquet, and all meal preparation. Just let them do a small task first as the helper, then if they already adapted with our kitchen, let them do something else, Also please arrange a place for them to sleep for one-two weeks. Mr. Coles there, the oldest one, is their leader, you can communicate with him to give the order to his companion. And don't worry to make them work hard, they already said before that they came here to work"

Mrs. Martina is grinning to hear my words, especially the last one about making them work hard. Well, can't blame her about that because since we add more dishes into our menu, from usual 2-3 dishes become 3-4 dishes, her workload automatically increased while her workforce stays the same without any additional labor.

"Yes, young master, I will take care of them. Can I take them to their room first? They can't work with holding their baggage on their hands, right?"

"Hahaha…sure. Please do so, Mrs. Martina, don't forget to tell them about our dress code and cooking procedure too. Mr. Coles, this is Mrs. Martina, she's in charge of the castle kitchen and you all will work under her supervision from now on"

I introduce Mrs. Martina to them and after some greetings and small talks, Mrs. Martina goes with them to take our new helper to their respective room. After Mrs. Martina leaves the kitchen, I take her place to supervise the cooks in the kitchen. Since my father like the Gyudon I bring to him this morning, I decide to make it as the fourth dish on the menu for lunch.

"Hey, please get me about 10-kilo rice from the storage room. After that, process the rice according to what I do before this morning"

"Yes, young master!"

I order one cook to take around ten kilos of rice in the storage room and process it likes what I do before. Cooking rice is not difficult, just clean it with clean water before boiling the rice and after finish boil the rice, then move it to the steamer. I calculated if one kilo of rice can be eaten by five people with 200 grams rice each, that ten-kilo rice is enough to feed 50 people during the lunch. Earl Stamfort's party consisted of around 30 people and with my family members, I believe that 10-kilo rice is enough for lunch later.

I also order the cook to prepare sliced potato to make potato chips again. This would be a good companion when playing board game later. So the menu for lunch today is fixed with the Gyudon as the fourth menu, consommé soup first menu, frikadel the second, spaghetti the third and last is wakame salad. If I have time to prepare, maybe I also will add some garnished vegetable and fruits later.

When Mrs. Martina returns to the kitchen with the cooks from Lumon town, I see they already change their clothes with the clean one. It seems Mrs. Martina already tell them about the dress code whilst showing their room. I still feel the mysterious gaze emitted from the Lumon female cook, Sarah, but I don't give much attention because at the kitchen, they only do the simple task after all. After giving the command back to Mrs. Martina, I leave the kitchen to take care of other things for welcoming Earl Stamfort arrival in Harvard castle. Dealing with food is not my only responsibilities, there're many other things I need to handle. I also need to inspect the room, making the flower bouquet for my fiancé, checking the security and many other things.
