92 Faded Feelings

"So, we've got the entire house till-"

"When?"

"-till Sunday evening, right?"

Lillian said scanning the entire house making sure to remember things and the place they reside.

"Let's bring it down," Lillian declared.

Her face grinned all the way to make it seem like an evil lunatic.

Anna s.h.i.+vered at her reference. Suddenly, Edwin words came back like a chant to Anna's mind.

'If you do something to my baby, you will regret it.'

These words haunted Anna as she warned Lillian to stay low and silent. She caught the wild Lillian by her ears and forced her to clean the dishes first.

"Don't you think of escaping from ch.o.r.es? First, we'll clean the place and then decide what to do. Alright, go on. I'll clean the BBQ grill, and you handle the dishes." Anna ordered.

Lillian frowned aloud.

"Why do I get to do dishes?" Lillian exploded.

"Because you will destroy the BBQ if I let you clean it and it's your home so, you get to do the dishes. Did I make myself clear?" Anna ordered.

"Yes, Mam." Lillian served.

The girls went to their respective location with Anna cleaning the BBQ equipment and Lillian doing the dishes. After spending an hour of serious labor, the girls decided to take a long bath.

Anna borrowed bath bombs, bath salts and essential oils from her mother. Lillian let Anna use the bath first while she storms out to buy Ice creams and drinks. Lillian purchased a week worth of Ice creams and drinks.

By the time, Lillian returned, Anna dressed in her nightdress comfortably, scrolling through the mobile phone.

...

"Welcome home, darling." Anna greeted.

"I'm home, honey" Lillian responded.

They acted like a married couple. Lillian took it far by trying to cuddle with Anna only to get rejected harshly.

"You stink, jacka.s.s. Go take a shower, already." Anna yelled.

"Will you then let me cuddle with you?" Lillian asked with a puppy dog eyes.

"I will think about it," Anna replied coldly.

Lillian hopped as she went to her room, undressed and got into the shower, cleaned herself, prepared the bath with essential oil, took a soak in, and finally came out.

Lillian wasn't a fan of bath bombs and preferred essential oils.

Lillian came down from her refres.h.i.+ng bath. She noticed Anna in the kitchen, already opened the Ice cream container and consuming chunks of scoops directly. Lillian s.n.a.t.c.hed it away from Anna earning a glare. She then took out a gla.s.s bowl to give her a share with a spoon. Lillian then served herself a bowl.

The girls went back to the living room where they enjoyed watching the television.

The sleeping time approached disrupting the girl's entertainment. Unfortunately, the program had ended leaving it on a cliffhanger making Anna curse at the ending.

...

"So, what we do now?" Lillian asked yawning a few times.

Anna calmed down from cursing. She looked at the time and then saw Lillian. Next thing, Anna grabbed Lillian by hands, took her to Lillian's room and threw her on the bed. Lillian went appalled at the situation.

"If you're thinking about doing anything naughty, then forget it. Plus, we're two girls. There's not much we can do." Lillian commented with a sneer.

Anna facepalmed herself.

"Why does your mind travel in that path but still refuses to find or accept love?" Anna roared.

Lillian shook her head in opposition.

"I'm just being myself and trying to have fun." She replied.

"No, you're just a pervert. A complete pervert." Anna remarked.

"I bought you here to talk about something. But you have to make it worse, idiot." Anna groaned.

Lillian ignored, and when asked about it, Anna brought the confession issue.

"You're back to normal. So, I guess you didn't feel anything for that guy right?" Anna asked.

"That guy?" Lillian murmured until her brain waves activated the image of Giselle and replayed her confession.

Lillian's brows twitched at the memory. In the past, whenever, she heard the name Giselle, it would give her the chills, and weird feelings but now, she's confused. Not that she cared, but it is still bothering her.

Lillian forgot that Anna had asked a question. She went into another dimension thinking about little stuff that she happens to encounter at school. Anna tried calling Lillian who's daydreaming.

After a few shout outs, Lillian returned to earth and saw her friend fuming in heat.

"Why didn't you reply and why suddenly went on dreaming?" Anna said hitting Lillian on her arms. The girls wrestled on the bed. Lillian let Anna beat her, as she can't return them since Anna's a friend and Lillian style of fighting doesn't involve gentle hit on arms.

If Lillian wants to fight, she goes all out kicking, punching and slamming people against the floor. Anna got tired within a few seconds; she slid down next to Lillian.

"I thought you still had feelings for that person," Anna said.

It surprised Lillian because even though she took in the advice of her father and her dear friends, Lillian expected that Giselle would be hard to forget. Nothing personal, but the girl had vibes that Lillian couldn't resist even if she wanted too.

However, it didn't happen, Lillian noticed Giselle at school but due to her recent activities, Lillian's lingered feelings disappeared and so did the girl faded out from her life.

"I know but, if it isn't meant to be, it won't happen, right?" Lillian remarked.

Anna felt sorry for her friend as she reached out to give her a comforting hug.

"It's alright. You are going to fall in love madly very soon, and I know it for sure." Anna supported.

Lillian ridiculed at Anna's comment.

The girls took over the bed and decided to sleep. Lillian went around to make sure nothing is ON and active inside the house. She locked the door and switched off the lights and came back to her room to find Anna already in a deep slumber.

"And you went to sleep first. I will take care of this tomorrow." Lillian whispered and covered Anna with a blanket to keep her warm. She slid in next to her and tried to sleep except that she couldn't.

Anna's recalling of Giselle made Lillian uncomfortable to remain peaceful.

She recalled noticing that Giselle after that incident started to hang out with the gossip girls often. Lillian even saw Giselle walking back home with one of those gossip girls. They were smiling and having fun.

Initially, Lillian wanted to confront Giselle for this sudden change. But it isn't her rights to do so. She felt that Giselle might have moved on with her confession and didn't feel bothered by it or,

She thought of the next possible solution which seemed very convincing from Giselle's behavior from the past two weeks.

'Giselle devised a plan to prank Lillian and that it got succeeded.'

It's because of that, Lillian's weird feelings concerning Giselle disappeared.

She thought the girl was pure and reserved. However, with the past two weeks, it felt as if she's scheming and wily. It made Lillian angry, and so, she started hating Giselle deliberately.

Now, whenever, Lillian hears the name Giselle, it only creeps her out or makes her mad. Lillian didn't like the way she's feeling about it.

She yearned for all to go away and give back her usual peaceful life.

Slowly, Lillian drifted off to sleep on her bed next to Anna.

Her dreamland revoked a memory from Lillian's childhood.
