12 Chapter 12.

Sure enough, the girl who spoke was none other than Slippery, who until a few minutes ago had just said goodbye to Aldarion. She had waited for the distance to be long enough for him not to listen. So he could start letting go of everything that had been spinning in his head.

'Well, at least she has not realized that she was a girl, if she would not be in trouble. No one should know that I am a girl, if my father finds out that I've escaped again I do not know what punishment would impose me. 'She thought to herself.

'But Thalion... he seemed very nice as well as handsome. Not to say that he was very brave in saving me, if he had not arrived in time I do not know if he would be alive now. It was just like in the stories my mother told me where the gentleman comes to rescue his beloved.' As he was thinking this, his face started to blush and he did not notice until it was over. She put her hands on her cheeks and felt the heat of her blush. "I-I think it's love. Can it be love at first sight?" She said very nervous in a practically inaudible tone.

Just at that moment the sound of bushes was heard and four Dunedain appeared and approached her. The one who seemed to be the leader of the group stepped forward and made a slight bow. "My lady FĂriel. Your father has sent us to pick it up. Please do not resist and come quietly with us."

'd.a.m.n it, my father discovered me very soon this time. I can not go on adventures in a good season.' She thought. "Well, I'll go with you. Do not worry, I will not do anything bad."

After hearing what FĂriel said, the man stared at the girl with a surprised face. FĂriel noticing this said to him. "What's up Telos?"

"I'm surprised you do not make any fuss, that's all, my lady." He said without thinking much.

FĂriel simply looked at him out of the corner of his eye and told him. "That's nothing Telos, only that today you caught me in a very good mood. I just hope father is not very angry."

'I wonder what happened to the young lady so she would be so happy.' She thought to herself, Telos. "My lady, your father only cares about you. You know that you are very important to him. You are his only daughter. That you leave alone is very dangerous could be with a bandit or a pack of wolves."

When FĂriel heard that last one almost tripped. "I defend myself so I do not have to worry so much." She almost shouted at him, but then stopped to think about what happened before and that if Thalion had not rescued her, it would not have ended well. So, she fell silent and kept walking.

Some time later she arrived at the Dunedain camp. She thought that when she was finished so quickly her father would not scold her so much, but she could not be more wrong. Her father and she were arguing for a while while their mother tried to mediate between the two.

The discussion ended with his father punis.h.i.+ng her and announcing that he was going to start looking for a fiancé. She was twenty-five already and according to the Dunedain tradition she had to start looking for one.

This of course did not sit well with Fíriel who just that day had met a man who had fallen in love and knew that when his father was referring to a fiancé, he wanted to tell one of his race. A Dunedain from his camp or from one of the other failing.

FĂriel had a broken heart. She knew that she could not go against her father and that she would have to promise herself with whom he told her. At best, she could delay it, but nothing more. FĂriel, devastated, simply did not say anything, suppressed the tears that began to form in her eyes and went to her shop after saying goodbye to her parents.

When she arrived at her store, she closed the entrance and ran to bury herself among the furs of her bed while crying. 'Why does this have to happen to me? Also, if that were not enough, it had to be fair today. After meeting Thalion!' FĂriel was screaming in his head. "Oh Thalion. Why is fate so cruel to me?" She whispered to herself between tears.

FĂriel was crying for hours until at a time when she stopped cursing her cruel destiny. She decided that she would fight to be with Thalion, she still had time and more if she could delay the proposal.

'According to Dunedain's traditions, I must first get a fiancé, but until I turn thirty, I will not have to marry. If I play my cards well I could find a way to meet Thalion and marry him.' She thought.

After winning this little hope FĂriel began to cheer up, she wiped her tears and began to work out a plan to achieve her goals.

She knew that her parents would only accept one of their race and also try to make it as prestigious as possible, but maybe Telos could help her. He was always good to her, he was like an older brother to her. So she was hoping that with his help she could escape from her destiny.

Hi guys! Again, forgive the delay.

I just wanted to tell you that as you have noticed, I have changed the way of writing a bit. When characters speak they will be indicated with "...", but when they express thoughts they will be indicated with '....'.

Also tell you that for those who are not from Spain this weekend they start Christmas but do not finish until January 7.

During this period I will not be in my usual work site but I will try to upload as many chapters as possible.

Thanks again for your patience. Enjoy guys.
