1 The Game That Changed The World

There was no select cla.s.s feature in the game however that was also the beauty of it, the cla.s.s that you played as was determined by your const.i.tution and skills. Where you showed the most potential was where you were designated. The concept of a game that a.s.signed you to where you fit best was novel in and of itself.

There was one more thing though that helped to accentuate this idea, there was infinite cla.s.ses available which is what had truly struck the world.

Cla.s.ses had traditionally been divided into four groups but with Reimagined it was different, there was more than just warriors and mages, rogues and archers. Now with the game allocating cla.s.ses based on skills there was an unlimited number of possibilities, retired soldiers or military personnel could be a.s.signed the soldier cla.s.s or higher based on their ability.

Martial artists could become pugilists or monks, sword users could become blade masters or something similar there was no limit on the diversity of the cla.s.ses available. The very thought of it was enough to make one's head spin.

However it was on this day that a new cla.s.s would terrorize the servers, it was ridiculous the ident.i.ty of this person as such no one would believe his profession even if he told them.

"Well lets see if this game is as revolutionary as they say" mumbled a youth of around twenty, ash colored hair and sharp laze filled eyes stared at the contraption before him.

The Reimagined game pod, a essential piece if one wished to play the game. Inspecting the machine before him, the youth finally sat down before the lid to the pod closed engulfing him in darkness.

'Welcome to Reimagined, a world where you can become your true self or something more. Please enter your name' came the text before the youth's eyes.

"Kage" muttered the youth before the area before him flashed and he was shown to be standing on a course of some sort.

'Please use whatever means you choose to dispatch enemies, please think of weapon preference' came a monotone voice in Kage's head.

Kage followed the instructions and soon he had his basic equipment on hand before seeming to disappear from the spot.

Lurking among the shadows he was quick to dispatch his enemies using throwing stars and other discreet means before revealing himself.

'Please wait one moment while I process this information' announced the voice.

However the footage being played back continuously was also being viewed by the designers who were in awe of what they had seen thus putting it on repeat.

"It seems he is what is known as s.h.i.+n.o.bi, preparing to gift the cla.s.sification s.h.i.+n.o.bi" announced a large computer in a gla.s.s room.

"This kid is sick, did you see how quickly and easily he dispatched those guys" raged a programmer.

"This guy is going to be something serious" laughed another while everyone else was immersing themselves in the replay.

Back with Kage he was waiting for his cla.s.sification when the voice suddenly spoke.

'Cla.s.sification: s.h.i.+n.o.bi, please fill in your additional occupations' announced the voice however back at the Reimagined Hq the programmers began raging at the computer.

"Reimagined doesn't allow secondary cla.s.ses or occupations, what are you doing Elm" demanded a middle aged man who had rushed into the room after hearing about the recording.

"s.h.i.+n.o.bi are masters of many professions, in order to blend better in their environment they possess the skills of many occupations. Not creating secondary cla.s.s, establis.h.i.+ng s.h.i.+n.o.bi cla.s.s" answered Elm as it began establis.h.i.+ng the cla.s.s despite the protest of it's programmers.

With Kage though as he continued filling in occupations he was skilled in the his stats began seeing some oddities forming which was also out of expectations. Soon enough though it was all finished and Kage was transported to somewhere else without any of the gear he was given in the allocation stage.

Soon standing in a starter town, looking around he had to admit it was interesting to combine to completely different worlds. Currently he was standing in the center of a moderate sized town which didn't look any different from one you would see in the real world.

"Looks like this gonna be kinda fun after all" chuckled Kage
