"Detra!!!" she screamed to call the attention of Evlin's housemaid, "Detra, are you here??"

She entered the room and saw Detra laying on the bed holding Ellie's phone that was at this moment playing a top hits of the year series playlist of music tracks. Detra was looking at it with wide eyes and staring at the object as if it was some kind of holy grail.

"... Detra...?" Ellie asked while wondering if the woman had been watching videos this whole time while everyone was being attacked.

"What is wrong with the people of this world...???" said Detra after being exposed to more than three hours of earth's currently most popular music videos, "Is this what is considered normal around here...???"

"Oh... We kinda got rid of the concept of 'normal' a while ago... Being weird is the new normal..." Ellie explained.

"... What...?" Detra didn't seem to get the explanation.

"Never mind that now!!" Ellie hurried and shoved the box on the woman's face, "I need you to take care of him while I'm gone!!"

Detra a.n.a.lyzed what was in front of her and tried to process her answer, she saw a very angry-looking man imprisoned on a transparent cube made with blessed metal glaring at her, "Is that... Xadi...??? Why do you have the spirit of Xadi stuck in a box??"

"Mia tried to send him to attack us but me and Daren managed to stop him."

"I see..." Detra said while trying to remember which one was Daren from Evlin's team, "And you want me to do what exactly...? Keep an eye on him?"

"Not him, Lance!" Ellie explained, "I need you to take care of Lance!"

Detra then looked up and finally realized that there was a small kid sucking his own thumb and gazing at her.

"... Me?? Why me?? Where is the rest of your aunt's friends?"

"This guy turned into a weird monster made of wood and zapped all of them to a hospital bed. You're the only option I have left!" Ellie explained while pointing at Xadi and putting his box down.

She then grabbed Lance and handed him over to Detra, who looked very confused about what she was supposed to do with him.

"What about you?? Why can't you take care of him?" Detra asked.

Ellie then started to examine around the room as if she was looking for some kind of hidden treasure, "I can't right now. Xadi is going to reveal to me where Mia is. I'm going after her and rescue my parents!"

"Oh... I se- WAIT WHAT!!!??" Detra said while jumping out of her bed with Lance on her arms, "You're going after Mia alone??"

Ellie continued to search the room but acting like she was having no luck with her quest. She then stood in the middle of the place and scratched her head as if trying to remember something important, "I have no choice. You told us that Mia will be leaving for England soon right? But if we just defeat her now we can just stop this whole thing right now!"

"Young lady there is no way you can defeat Mia on your own!! We need your aunt!" Detra said while she watched Ellie running from one side of the room to another.

"My aunt can't help right now! Some guys who were claiming to be the new followers of the east or something showed up and began to attack her. I'm all that's left." Ellie said as she snuck under the bed.

"Wait... New followers of the East?? I was replaced??" Detra said while Lance started to show a tired expression as if he wanted to sleep.

"Aha!! Found it!!" Ellie declared as she pulled some kind of fur doll that looked like a frog with a bowtie and a top hat. She then rushed towards Xadi and placed the toy in front of him, "Here!!"

Xadi just stared as the girl kept holding the toy in front of him as if it was some kind of birthday present for him to open.

"... What...?" He said while staring at the toy that was about as big as half of Ellie's leg.

"I want you to possess it!" said the girl while giving the ghost mage a wide grin.

"... ... ... Excuse me...?"

"Come on!! I don't wanna have to carry your box around the whole city with me! Just enter this toy and make yourself easier to carry!"

"Have you lost your mind!!!???"

"Well, it's not like I can just let you free right? Who knows how much danger you can do if you get out of this box." Ellie said while holding the toy in front of his face.

Xadi wanted to throw a thousand lighting bolts on Ellie on that moment, but for his plan to work, he needed to cooperate with her, or she would stop listening to him, so he decided to simply endure this small humiliation for now.

"... ... ... I hate you..." Xadi said while glaring at Ellie.

"Don't worry... I'll let you go once we beat Mia!" Ellie said while using her power to make a small hole on the box and shoving the fur frog inside.

Xadi grabbed the toy and made a silent promise that one day he would get his revenge on Ellie for this humiliation. He then followed her command and used his ability as a spirit to possess the frog. Before he noticed, his whole body was much smaller and was completely made of fur.

Ellie stared at the stuffed animal walking around with a very angry look on his face and finally used her power to make the metal box disappear with her ability to mirror Marcus and his blessed metal.

"This is the biggest humiliation of my life..." said the frog Xadi, "And why did it have to be a frog?? What is it with your family and making me become a frog???"

"It wasn't my idea ok? The hotel lady gave it to me when we entered... I think it's a present for kids... It's meant to be the building's mascot or something..."

Ellie then grabbed the frog by the hand and placed it on her head.

"Oh wow, you're so much easier to carry now!" she said while moving towards the door, "Now let's go beat up Mia!!" she exclaimed with a raised fist.

"Young miss, wait!!!" Detra shouted, "Please don't do this!! Mia will obliterate you if you go after her!!"

Ellie looked at Detra surprised with her sudden show of concern, but the truth was that if something happened to that girl, Evlin would probably rip Detra's spine out of her body.

"Don't worry Detra! I got this!" Ellie said while giving a thumbs up.

"... You... Got this...??" Detra said showing a very immense lack of trust in her words.

"Yeah... You see... I kinda realized something lately..."

"And what's that...?"

Ellie then pointed at herself with her two thumbs and boldly exclaimed her discovery, "I'm invincible!!"

Detra stared at the kid, rubbed her eyes for a few seconds, and then took a deep breath before looking at Ellie again, "... What...?"

"Yeah, you see... I kinda realized that mirror magic is honestly pretty much broken! I can copy anyone's powers as much as I want and I can even use magic without a staff! Not only that, I just received this awesome new s.h.i.+eld from my aunt! I feel like I can take on anyone right now! I even saved my aunt twice in the same week!"

"... What...?"

"You will see! With my mirror magic I'll defeat Mia in two seconds, and we will never have to worry about her or Myriad or some weird demons frozen on the other side of the world ever again!"

"Wait.. Hold on a second... Who told you that you were invincible?? How did you get that idea??"

Xadi then started to look at the other way while trying to whistle with his lips made of plush.

"Young miss... Fighting a random monster and fighting Mia are not the same thing! This is a great mistake!! That girl is a two-hundred-year-old warrior who received a blessing from a G.o.d, a curse from a demon, and is now one of the few individuals who have access to magic in this world!" Detra said.

Ellie looked at Detra and began to wonder if maybe she was right and that she might be acting a little recklessly. After all, Mia demolished her aunt with barely breaking a sweat on the restaurant, and the only reason Ellie managed to defeat the monsters that were sent after her aunt was because she had Marcus and Daren helping her.

But at the same time, the longer she waited, more monsters would be sent by Mia after Evlin and create chaos around the city. On top of that, if Evlin faced against Mia, there was a chance that she would lose and end up becoming Myriad. If Ellie defeated Mia right now, her aunt would be safe forever.

"Xadi, what do you think...? Can I defeat Mia with my current power?" she said while moving her eyes towards the plushy toy above her head.

Xadi looked back at her. He honestly didn't have enough information on Ellie's weird mirror magic so he couldn't say for sure if she could beat Mia, but that's not what he really cared about. All he wanted was to put all the people he hated in one room and make them all destroy each other.

"Of course! This woman is only looking down on you because you are a kid! But even your aunt was already a great mage when she was a young girl! I'm sure that if it's her niece, you can pull it off with no problem!" he said.

"T- That's right!! See Detra!!?? Even Xadi believes in me!"

"Well... If the frog with a top hat and bowtie says so then it must be true..." Detra said with a sarcastic tone, "Just please... Let's wait for your aunt to return and-"

"No!! I'm not letting Mia anywhere near my aunt!! I'll protect her from that crazy girl, no matter the cost!" Ellie said before showing an expression of resolve and storming away from the room.

Detra just watched as the little girl kept charging towards her doom.

"... Mmmm... How angry would the crossbow girl be with me if I told her that I let her niece go after Mia alone...?" She asked while looking at Lance in her arms.

The baby simply yawned and started to sleep while cuddling himself against her chest.

"You're right... with my luck... Better not risk it..." she said before leaving the room and starting to chase after the girl, "Young miss!! Wait up!!!"
