The road beyond Laide is rough, but pa.s.sable by carriages.

Those wishing to visit the places on the sh.o.r.es of Loch Ewe and to the north and east of Aultbea are recommended to stay at the Poolewe Hotel.

The distances of the above-named places from Poolewe may be calculated by adding 7 miles to the distance as stated from Aultbea.
