97 Author's Note On Premium

This is an announcement to say that the story is going premium next chapter [uploaded right after this is posted]. Thank you for sticking with 'From Past To Present, I Still Love You'. I really appreciated all the support given to this story. Honestly, it was quite overwhelming to see how many readers loved my novel and it made my days much happier. I know that going premium will mean that some readers will drop the story while others will continue - either way I thank everyone for being there for me. Each collection I hold dear to my heart.

Within this author's note, I just wanted to explain some questions some of you may have pertaining my story going premium.

WHY DID YOU GO PREMIUM?

To be straightforward: I want to be a writer as a career [you can skip the next paragraphs if you don't care but for those who are curious to why, read on].

I've always wanted to be a writer ever since I wrote my first story in grade seven. However, due to the compet.i.tion within the field and the hards.h.i.+ps of pursuing writing as a full-time career, I, unfortunately decided to stray from the writing path. For my university major I decided to chose a stable degree which would get me a nine to five job, while I perhaps, write in my spare time since it is my stress outlet. Although my pa.s.sions do not lie in that field, I had to be realistic with my life choices. I had to have a back up plan and even if information technology is not my cup of tea, I didn't want to burden my family financially.

A funny thing was that I actually started this story in the middle of my final exams. No joke. Of course, that semester was the absolute worst for my marks, but writing really elevated the stress that I gained from school. Every day I would write two chapters for my audience since I was so down with my current status in life [now I returned back from school so I unfortunately have to stick with one chapter but anyways].

One day, the opportunity to be paid for my work came to play. At first, I was sort of hesitant on going into the contract because I did want all of my story to be available to my readers. However, I realized that perhaps, webnovel could become my first step to pursuing writing as a career. Although it is still slim [contracted authors do not make as much as many think, except for the big ones], I thought why not give it a shot. It may be my first step to potentially doing this for the rest of my life.

This is why I became a premium writer.

WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT FROM PAID CHAPTERS?

Well, I got to give my sales pitch right?

What should you expect from buying my chapters with spirit stones?

Lots and lots of amazing events. Here are a few examples:

- Minhyun's past [very excited for this. Let the drama unfold]

- The finale of the fall of the Moon group

- Romance. Romance. Romance. There will be a volume specifically for building their relations.h.i.+p as well as their friends.h.i.+p with other characters. [and 18+ scenes for those adult readers. This can be skippable for those who do not wish to read it. All adult scenes will be marked with a asterisks **]

- New potential? love rivals [though we all know how strong our couple is] and other characters that will make you want to break your screen or swoon.

- Lots of character development

- heart-felt moments involving the characters

- The arrival of Minhyun's father Chae Seung-b.u.m [and his backstory] as well as other antagonists.

- Ji-ho's influence and his backstory. He's a very important character.

- The growth of secondary characters [Eunha, Lucas, Desire]

HOW MUCH ARE PAID CHAPTERS?

For those who don't know how paid chapter costs work.

Each 200 words is 1 ss.

Therefore, whether or not my chapters cost more than other stories all depends on how much words I place in a single chapter. Unfortunately, I cannot change the price because everything is determined by webnovel.

My chapters tend to be above the average word rate that romance novels go for. Most stories have around 600-800 per chapter which is around 3-4 ss while my average word count is around 1400 which would be 7 ss.

Chapters will be written as I always do without cutting. I noticed readers are very conflicted by length. Some want 3-4ss while others want long chapters that can range from 6-12ss. In the end, I think going at my own pace and dividing chapters by the flow is the best for both story quality and reader fulfillment.

Keep in mind for those who wanted 3-4ss: multiple short chapters actually cost more in the long run because I have to write more words to connect these chapters. So in the end, it is cost-efficient if chapters are longer.

BY THE WAY. I have made a discord. It's been long due but here you go. The link is also in my summary if you lose it [I may not be on earlier because I could be sleeping. However, I will be on most of the day once I am awake]
