14 Chapter 14: Ja'hack

(Slap!*)

Goblin Guard Two: "Gyah!"

Jack slapped Goblin Guard Two across the face with the force of his Blue Claws causing his neck to abruptly twist almost breaking it in the process.

Goblin Guard Two stumbled to the side dropping his weapon holding his cheek while rubbing his neck with his now free hand.

Jack: "JACK! My Name Is Jack! J-C-K"

Goblin Guard: "Ah Me Sorry! JHack!"

(Slap!*) (Slap!*)

Goblin Guard Two's cheeks became swollen with red claw prints on each side.

The pain was sharp and stinging, his neck became sore from the violent twisting.

Jack: "Say My Name Right Jack!"

Goblin Guard Two nodded his head rapidly he was hesitant to reply the name sounded too foreign and strange for him to p.r.o.nounce it accurately.

He was worried the Yellow Goblins next slaps would cause his head to spin off so he tried to buy time by saying it really slowly.

Goblin Guard Two: "J-"

(Bam!*)

Jack punched the Goblin Guard square in the face, Jack held back to not kill him but the force still sent him flying away a few feet.

Teeth and blood trailing from his nose and mouth followed as he landed he lost his front teeth and his nose was bent and broken to the right.

Goblin Guard Two cried out in pain grasping his broken face , struggling to get up.

Jack: "You Wanna Die a.s.shole!"

Goblin Guard Two: "Gwah! Nwo Sworry JwHwack! Pwease Nwo Kwill Mwe!"

Blood spilled from his ugly swollen beaten face as he spat out blood, mucus and, teeth.

He had the appearance of a green pufferfish that fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Jack: "Hmph! You're lucky that i'm in a good mood so I'll spare your life."

Goblin Guard Two: "Rweawry! Owh Thw.a.n.k ywou! JwHwack! Thw"

Jack: "But only if you deliver a message to that masked red old guy with the staff."

Goblin Guard Two: "Ywou mwean Ewldwer Gwyrom ywes.h.!.+ Ywes.h.!.+ Mwe Dwewever Mwessage!"

He bowed his head until his forehead touched the floor to avoid eye contact with Jack.

If he was lucky he could not only survive this but get revenge on this Yellow Fiend with the help of Elder Gyrom!

He did not bother to question or wonder why or how he managed to come out unscathed from encountering the Elder when he left to hunt the Young Greens.

Despite Jacks burnt clothing being an indicator he hadn't even noticed it.

His mind was to preoccupied on surviving this disaster than to stop and carefully think.

Most Goblins were a bit slow in the department of intelligence and this goblin was no different.

He was unable to fully grasp the situation only follow along with the flow of events and try not to die.

Goblin Guard Two closed his eyes and prayed for himself and his dead companion to his long forgotten G.o.d.

The existence of the "Old One" or the"First One" in goblin culture is known only by the ancient hieroglyphics carved in the deepest part of the Goblin caves by their ancestors.

They Depict the origin and creator of goblins and were the last remnants of its existence.

Sadly the hieroglyphics were written in an Old Goblin Tongue so there meaning was long lost to them.

There rough understandings came from the artifacts and ill.u.s.trated carvings left behind...

Jack: "Good now pay close attention because I'm not going to repeat myself."

Goblin Guard Two: "Ywes.h.!.+ Ywesh Mwe Hwear!"

Jack: "Tell him to bring his old wrinkly red a.s.s here for a beating!"

The Goblin Guard was left speechless he hadn't expected the message to be so long and complicated.

It did not help that it was weirdly spoken in the Yellow Goblins accent but he still understood the profanity and meaning behind the words.

The typical Goblins speech was blunt and simple so it was hard for the Goblin Guard to understand immediately as he repeated the words over and over again in his head to dumb it down and finally comprehend it.

An insult at the expense of the Elder and a challenge spoken with disrespect having been raised in a tribe where it was mandatory to respect the Elders especially for generic Green Goblins like him who were the lowest of the low.

He became furious at the realization the strange young yellow goblin JHack was insulting the Elders a crime punishable by death

For a split second the Goblin Guard almost didn't care about his life to defend the honor of the tribe and was about to attack JHack.

But stopped when he glared and saw his hands glow reminding him of the miserable deaths his companion and the rest of the Young Greens had.

He lifted his head towards jack and nodded showing a determined and understanding expression.

Goblin Guard Two was secretly looking forward to the moment Elder Gyrom would burn the Yellow Fiend alive.

He took solace in fantasizing about p.i.s.sing and desecrating JHacks burnt corpse after his challenge with Elder Gyrom.

Jack spoke with a domineering voice.

Jack: "Go Scram!"

The Goblin Guard got up and bolted not bothering to reply or look back and ran with full speed into the Goblin Caves.

The Goblin Caves were divided into Areas and layers with the Chief of the Tribe residing in the innermost deepest part of the cave.

While the Elders of the Tribe governed over and managed the areas that layered above the Chief's domain.

Each Elder had a domain and were in charge of different aspects of the tribes tradition and necessities.

Elder Red Goblin Gyrom was the youngest and weakest of the Elders having only come to power through a fortuitous encounter.

Unlike the rest of the Elder Goblins Gyrom had not been born special, he was born as mundane and plain as any other Goblin.

So his position in the tribe was considered the lowest among the other Elders.

As a result he was put in charge of watching over and raising the new generation of Goblins throughout the year a task he had quickly become extremely bored of.

Gyrom had been given the the first level of the cave a small and limited s.p.a.ce when compared to the underground levels.

With the only benefit being apart of the main entrance to the Goblin Cave making it easier to get access to outside supplies and hunts.

A Goblin could not traverse through the other levels of the underground without the permission of the Elders to enter there domain first.

Gyrom had made profit by extorting his fellow tribesman to enter and leave the Goblin Cave for a fee of course.

Gyrom was able to get away with this without punishment by only forcing the fee upon the Green Goblins of the tribe and making the fee a small offering to avoid internal conflicts with the Elders or his Chief.

However during hunting seasons he would make a small fortune enough to live a lavish lifestyle and still govern his domain with finances to spare.

Goblin Guard Two and One were both born and managed in the domain of Gyrom so they new the entries and routes to the area like the back of their hand.

The torches and lights were turned off inside the cave during the night so it was pitch black making it only barely visible to Goblins right now.

Despite this Goblin Guard Two ran effortlessly without any problem to his destination.

Goblin Guard Two had forced his body to run with all his might past his breaking point to arrive as soon as possible.

When he had arrived by Gyroms personal cave entrance he was sweaty and exhausted.

His breathing was loud and heavy he kneeled onto the ground and called out for his Elder.

The entrance to the cave room was large and covered over with a worn red drape the color was not a natural red.

It was stained in a deep crimson, soaked in the blood of a predator to ward off any lesser creatures that could intrude into his domain.

The blood soaked drape blocked all visibility to the inside but the light from the inside still escaped and illuminated the outside indicating that the Elder was inside.

By the sides of the entrance were two unlit torches but were decorated with the skulls of two Fire Foxes a beast that Gyrom was known to have a fondness for hunting.

Goblin Guard Two was relieved that his master was still awake but was still worried he would interrupt his master during one of his more private activities...

Goblin Guard Two: "Ewlder Gwyom Twhis Owne Wish Two Spweak Two Ywou!"

Goblin Guard Two: "Mwe Hwas Mwessage, Fwor Ywou Ewlder Gwyrom."

It was dead silent for a few moments no reply or sound could be heard only the noise of the flickering torches echoed in the pin drop silence of the cave.

Goblin Guard Two closed his eyes tightly afraid that he had bothered his Elder who was known for having a short temper.

It was not until a sinister old voice came from behind the red drapes that he opened his eyes and let out a breath of relief.

Elder Gyrom had a habit of burning gobs at the drop of a hat as a result he ruled his domain through absolute fear and terror.

If a gob had failed there task or disturbed Elder Gyrom in anyway they would usually be burned to death on the spot without question, and left to hang by his domains entrance to be made an example of.

The relief that Goblin Guard Two felt was quickly washed away by his Gyrom's threat.

Gyrom: "Gorb.u.m where is Gyldo? Hmm and why is you so injured? Do not tell me that he was killed and you were beaten by the Young Green… After all these years of service you should already be aware of the consequences no?"

Gorb.u.m: "Ewldwer Gwyrom Thwa Mwesswage Pwease Whet Mwe Ewxpwain!"

His plea was shut down with a domineering demand that came from behind the red drape.

Gyrom: "Silence! You're Voice Irritates Me..."

Gyrom: "Me have no use for a Goblin who cannot follow or speak good, fix face before speak."

A small red mushroom with white polka dots rolled from underneath the worn red drapes stopping in front of the bowing Gorb.u.m.

The mushroom was a healing shroom that could restore minor injuries he promptly ate it and a green light glowed across his face and body healing him.

Gorb.u.m: "Thank You Elder Gyrom! Thank You! You Are Greatest Elder Among Tribe Me Follow You Much Better Now, Me Promise!

Gyrom: "Enough You Fool Now tell me about this message and what exactly happened."

Gorb.u.m: "Yes Elder Me and Gyldo Hunt Young Greens Like You Say But When We Come Back Yellow Gob kill Gyldo."

Gyrom: "Yellow Gob?"

A cold light flashed across Gyroms sunken ancient eyes that were hidden behind the skull mask that covered his upper face.

He curled his lips into a smile this was great news fantastic even not only did the yellow gob lad survive but the value of the benefits he could gain from it increased by a few notches in his head.

Gyrom was eager to confront and interrogate the Yellow Lad and then have his way and reap them from the Female Demi Gob.

It was unfortunate that the Demi-Gob had not been placed under his domain he would have simply forced her after the introduction to the tribe.

Now Gyrom had to resort to more discreet methods to not get the attention of any of the other Elders or any other ambitious gobs who would dare to take this chance from him.

Gyrom: "Oh he not kill you too? Speak Message."

Gorb.u.m: "He Challenge Elder To Come Too Entrance And Fight He Name JHack."

Gyrom: "JHack? What Stupid Name. Hmph! Want Fight After Me Burn Young Fool"

Gyrom smile curved into a malicious grin although he spoke with disdain in front of his slave he was secretly very pleased.

To think that the benefits would come looking for him it was such an ironic thing he almost burst out laughing then and there.

But the Goblin Entrance was to public he needed to keep JHack away from prying eyes.

The Elders although a union still competed against one another and naturally would suppress or interfere with the others to maintain the power hierarchy.

It was because of this that Gyrom had become a very secretive and paranoid person.

His position among the Elders was low and he was the weakest and most mundane among them.

He could not suppress any of the other Elders and was made the laughing stock amongst them being bullied and ridiculed during gatherings.

Gyrom was a prideful Goblin who could not bare with the humiliation of being looked down upon by the other Elders and his Chief.

So instead of focusing his attention for the betterment of the tribe or his domain like the other Elders.

Gyrom focused most of his resources on becoming stronger and strengthening only himself giving his "slaves / tribesman" the leftovers of his pursuits.

But what could he do governing such useless Green Goblins and overwatching the yearly initiation period that ate up a good majority of his precious time.

He was unable to build connections with the lower levels of the underground caves to expand his domain or reach due to the harsh suppression of the other Elders.

The chance to gain from a similar fortuitous encounter was a once and life time event that he had been waiting many years to happen.

Now with the appearance of JHack and that Demi Gob Gia he had the opportunity to gain big benefits from them and grow stronger.

He would not allow anyone or anything get in his way for more power he needed to be ruthless and secretive to achieve success.

He had already devised a plan to lure JHack here and capture him it would be a cake walk from there to question or torture him for answers.

Even if he could not gain anything of importance from him he would simply kill JHack to raise his level and continue with that Demi Gob Gia.

Gyrom: "Me accept this JHack's challenge but only if He come here to fight."

Gorb.u.m: "But What Do If He Say No?"

Gyrom: "If He Say No, You Make Him! Tell Him he too weak and scared to face Gyrom."

Gorb.u.m: "...."

Gorb.u.m: "Yes Elder This One Go Now."

Gorb.u.m paid his respects he understood the intention it was to provoke JHack if he disagreed.

But this was a big problem that put him in the middle of two bloodthirsty tyrants.

It was not too hard to imagine what that Yellow Fiend would do to him if he dared to offend him but he could not fail or go against the Elders orders.

Afterall it was a blessing that he was not burned alive on the spot by Elder Gyrom when he arrived.

He would be turned into collateral damage if JHack chose to decline the proposition and was left very anxious about his future.

If he offended either he would die a miserable death he could only hope this JHack would play along with Gyrom request.

He was about to leave when another voice spoke out from the pitch darkness of the caves the figure stood beyond the lights reach obscuring him into a faded outline.

Jack: "Don't bother i'm already here."

Gorb.u.m: "YOU!?"

Jack had followed Gorb.u.m and listened in to the conversation when he spoke out Jack activated his Blue Claws making his figure visible under an eerie blue light.

His hands turned into claws as the blue light covered and fluctuated across both arms.

The lighting of the cave coupled in with the s.a.d.i.s.tic smile on his face gave Jack the appearance of a monster lurking in the dark...
