11 Chapter 11: Underwhelming Results

Shooting out from the red crystal on the gnarled wooden staff was another fireball the size of a basketball heading towards Jack's feet.

In response Jack activated his Blue Claws he wasn't sure if his skill could negate the attack but felt like now was a good time to find out.

Jack would soon come to regret this decision although Gyrom had intended to burn the yellow goblins legs he hadn't expected the fool to duck down and s.h.i.+eld it with his claws.

Gyrom: "GIII GIII GIII GII-" / "YOU FOOL GET OU-"

(*BWOOs.h.!.+)

The fire ball exploded on impact setting Jack on fire.

Jack: "GYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!"

Jack was knocked on his a.s.s by the impact as the fire burned him alive.

he tried to stop drop and roll but his flammable fur clothing was like fuel to the flames that prevented it from going out.

The attack was fatal and the pain was too intense for Jack.

If not for the healing seed he would have already succ.u.mbed to his wounds or died from the shock of the burning.

His skin and flesh melted off his body and his hair was seared off,

Each and every part of him hurt like h.e.l.l.

He could even feel his c.o.c.k and b.a.l.l.s being roasted off.

He felt every part of himself burn in an intense fiery pain from his tongue boiling into a bubbling grease inside of his mouth to his eye b.a.l.l.s melting inside of their own sockets.

By far this was the worst pain he had ever experienced in both of his short and miserable life times.

The pain was only prolonged by the magic seed that he carried, it was regenerating his wounds slower than he was being burning alive.

The Magical Healing Material worked overtime as Jacks physical and mental anguish unintentionally forced every bit of healing magic it could muster to keep him alive.

The regeneration drained Jack of all his energy eventually exhausting and slowing his movements completely.

He even lost the strength to scream out in pain or put out the fire…

The Goblins who remained standing and the few that were awaken by Jack's horrid screaming stared at him with feelings of both joy and malice at the display.

They all thanked and wors.h.i.+ped The Elder Red Goblin in reverence.

The green goblins felt relief to have dealt with the murderous goblin rampage.

However Gyrom wore a dull expression on his face ignoring the goblins praises towards him.

Not even bothering to acknowledged there existence.

Gyrom bit on his thumb and thought to himself regretting having lost the potential in benefits that came with interrogating the yellow goblin.

He could not have predicted the Yellow Gobs suicidal actions or stupid tendencies that sabotaged his initial plan.

He could only sigh in resignation and carry on with his plan to get it from the female Demi Goblin and hopefully salvage the situation.

He looked at Jack and called in the remaining goblins to follow him into the cave so that they could be introduced into the tribe.

He turned to leave and immediately every goblin except Guroh and Gia ran into the cave.

Gyrom looked back one last time to see Jack lying motionlessly on the ground with a look of anguish still plastered on his disfigured face as he was still being burned alive.

He shook his head in disappointment right now all he could do was isolate the female Demi Goblin later and have his way with her in hopes of reaping the rewards of there encounter.

His figure disappeared into the dark cave along with the remaining green goblins who looked back at Jack with a malicious and taunting glee on there faces.

Guroh felt dejected the brutal display from earlier replayed in his mind over and over again.

Guroh felt angry at Jack for not having displayed it sooner when he fought with him during their last encounter.

He was grumpy for losing the chance to fight such an interesting goblin to prove himself to his father.

Before leaving the cave he paid his respects to the motionless Mustard Goblin by throwing dirt on him to put out the fire.

Jacks body looked like a living corpse of beef jerky most of it was now a fleshy crisp red and black color instead of the once vibrant yellow mustard color.

All of his sensory organs were damaged beyond repair especially his melted eyes and his grease burned tongue Guroh felt there was no way he could recover from this.

Guroh thought that this was an a.s.sured death sentence so he didn't bother to treat him.

But he still held a sliver of hope that he could somehow recover like he did before and get the chance to fight and kill him another time to prove his mettle.

When Guroh's figure disappeared into the Goblin Cave Gia had dug her way out and left her hiding spot.

She approached Jack with hesitation his burnt body still emitting a bad smell and the pretty blue fur he wore was now a ruined tatter of burnt black and blue rags.

She searched his body for her knife luckily not finding the magical healing material that was keeping his life intact and slowly regenerating him.

When Gia retrieved her knife she gave Jack a meaningful look of regret for his wasted potential in her plans to become a ruler of the goblins and ran into the Goblin Cave following after the group.

Jack laid in front of the Goblin Cave like a living corpse.

Not being able to move a muscle, unable to make a noise or see and hear anything.

His body ached with an unending pain and a slow numbness brought upon by the "healing seed".

His melted eyes began to regenerate along with his tongue that had only partially grown back over time.

Jack was trapped in the confines of his mind unable to interact with the world around him.

He tried calling out to Chuck to keep him company but as usual there was no reply he was alone again...

After who knows many hours pa.s.sed it began rain and Jack was slowly regaining his basic body functions.

Every now and then a small critter or bug would come up to him and nibble a piece of freshly cooked goblin meat away.

thankfully it was nothing more than a rabbit so he was not in any danger of being some creatures next meal.

Else he would have been in even deeper s.h.i.+t than now.

Jack couldn't help but blame his condition on the change he had experienced recently.

The lack of fear derailed his thought process and was the main culprit for his current state…
