Obsession felt nothing at first, but then an indescribable pain spread from his back in the next second. His wings were the most sensitive spot on his body, home to multiple veins and nerves. To think that one had been cut off with just one slash!

Xiang Ning didn’t stop, but continued his attack. Once the wing was cut off, before Obsession could even cry in anguish, Xiang Ning kicked his annoying face until it caved in.

Obsession felt like he had rammed into a wall at full speed as his nose began to bleed. Some of his teeth were even shaking; he was completely stunned.

Xiang Ning continued his onslaught against the dangerous member of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Devourer’s core was glowing and grey goo was oozing out. Xiang Ning saw that the mutant hadn't recovered and wanted to end it. There were no fancy moves. He tried simply stabbing it into the mutant. 

Obsession snapped out of his daze and saw that death was near. He recoiled and fiercely struggled, even though his brain was still shaken.

Xiang Ning still had Keen Observation activated, so he saw through all the moves.

Obsession felt like he had been completely seen through. There was no hope of escaping this. He clenched his teeth as he used his physical strength to struggle. Perhaps due to the beast genes that caused them to incline toward their instincts, he had given up on using his strong Mental Power.

Xiang Ning didn’t clash with him straight on, however, but dodged and countered.

Every time he dodged, Xiang Ning would attack. That led Obsession to become infuriated.

“How can this be?”

“Impossible!”

“Die!”

“Come back and fight me!” Obsession was struggling fiercer and fiercer.

“Wow, how’d he dodge that?!”

“He’s dodging by the breadth of a hair!”

Many of the viewers were in awe, as the others reminded everyone what Xiang Ning was doing were highly dangerous moves. One shouldn’t copy him if they were in the wilderness, and they shouldn’t blame Xiang Ning for their own demise if they tried!

“Of course not! Can’t we just enjoy it? If we could’ve, we would’ve gone and done it in the first place.”

They tried to imagine it but they shuddered to think how Xiang Ning was walking on a tightrope. One false move and he’s dead.

Xiang Ning saw that the Fury Points he was obtaining were coming slower as they fell from 999 to 500. Obsession was already in despair. At first, he had been angrily retaliating, but now he slowly stopped. 

Xiang Ning didn’t want Obsession to be angry; he wanted him to despair!

Looking at the sluggish Obsession, he punched him and grabbed his neck. “Do you want to see the sun rise tomorrow?”

Obsession’s eyes lit up, but the light soon faded.

“Hmph.” Xiang Ning didn’t torture him but stabbed the Devourer into his body. The Devourer’s core appeared as its grey goo consumed the mutant.

Obsession of the Seven Sorrows had perished!

Just as he was about to pull out the Devourer, his Combat Instinct rang extremely loud. It was something he hadn’t felt before—the chill of death!

He immediately opened the seventh gate, increasing his strength to tier six as he slashed behind his back. The Devourer felt that its master was in danger, so instead of moving all of its grey goo back to the core, some of it was coated on the blade itself.

Xiang Ning caught a glimpse of Envy, one of the leaders of the Seven Deadly Sins. He was stronger than Fang Zhenyuan! But he didn’t have the ability to care anymore as he continued swinging his blade; Envy’s rapier was coming in fast toward him as if it could pierce everything. 

The blades met and a horrible sound was produced—it was the sound of the Devourer breaking!

The rapier was finally stopped when it got stuck in the grey goo. It couldn’t completely penetrate it.

Xiang Ning was thrown back by the impact, his palm shredded open by the force of the attack!

His hands were badly mutilated. One of his right arm bones was even fractured from the impact! He felt like his chest had been kicked extremely hard, so much so that he almost spat out blood.

He had even been thrown tens of meters away. No one realized what had happened; not even the camera could detect what had occurred. It was as if a ghost had appeared in front of Xiang Ning and kicked him away!

It was a miracle for him to survive the attack. It was extremely risky, too, as the Devourer could have been completely destroyed. Xiang Ning, though, had already lost all ability to fight. It took all of his strength just to raise his arm.

But no second attack came. He heard explosions around him as the beasts cried in pain. He also heard something loudly humming in the sky, then fell unconscious soon after.

When Xiang Ning regained his senses, he felt like he was being bathed in something nice. He opened his eyes and recognized where he was.

“Damn, it’s not even been two hours yet and you’re already awake. You sure are one hell of a monster.” Fang Hao saw that Xiang Ning had woken up and sighed in relief.

“Young master Fang, please enter the capsule too.”

“No need, let the other martial artists that were wounded enter first. This is just a scratch.”

Fang Hao was standing in the room outside of the recovery capsule. He wasn’t looking too good, as his arm was wrapped up as if it was broken.
