Chapter 360 Unexpected Outcome

Xiang Ning’s fight against the mutant Amethyst Nightdemon had garnered a lot of attention in the livestream, as everyone was amazed at how close the battle was. They were once again seeing how unnaturally strong Xiang Ning was. All of them thought he was inhuman, but most of them only saw it as an incredible battle between experts—they couldn’t comprehend how amazing their techniques were. Only those who truly understood what was happening had forgotten how to breathe.

The few people who understood what both Xiang Ning and Obsession were doing finally exhaled after holding their breaths for a minute. Their hearts almost exploded in excitement as they saw the clash between Obsession and the young prodigy.

When the first stage of battle ended, they were gasping for air. If this continues would the miracle at Hang City repeat itself?

Some of them snapped out of it when they saw Xiang Ning spitting out blood. The Amethyst Nightdemon was still a beast, one that humanity would never physically surpass. There were multiple wounds on Obsession, but they were all skin-deep. No other wounds were present on his body.

When the Amethyst Nightdemon swiped its wings and broke the flying knives, its body was still basically unharmed.

Xiang Ning felt another wave of pain attacking his brain.

“You think you’re a hero? Did you think you can come and fight me after killing that Simian Sage? You’re naive! I am your death!” Obsession’s voice was like a demon as it assaulted Xiang Ning’s mind again and again!

His Combat Instinct warned him of an attack coming from the left and he spun to dodge the attack and launch a counterattack. He endured the pain from the Eight Gates and the voice grasping his brain. He took up the Devourer and fought once more.

On the other side, Zhao Zhongxian and two other martial artists were running toward the battlefield.

“Wait! You can’t go any further! You’re just a normal person! We won’t be able to protect you if you do so!”

“Yeah! They issued a warning! We must be at least five hundred meters away from them!”

Zhao Zhongxian licked his lips in excitement as he was trying to find something. “Enough! Quickly follow me!”

The two martial artists just stared at each other and followed him as they carried the microphone and speakers. They needed it to be big, or Zhao Zhongxian’s plan would not work.

“Wait! He came back! Why’d he rush into the battlefield?!”

“He’s going to die! Any single beast can kill him in one attack!”

“Wait! There’s two people following him! What’re they carrying?”

“Looks like a PA system… they’re running toward Xiang Ning!”

“What’s he thinking?”

Everyone was confused, but saluted the suicidal journalist’s bravery nevertheless.

As for Zhao Zhongxian, the stench of blood and beasts overwhelmed him the moment he stepped foot on the front. The howls of beasts were deafening, so much so that all of the hair on his body prickled. Thanks to that, he gained another surge of energy and ran across the battlefield even faster.

“Wait! We can’t go any further! That’s the restricted area!”

One of the Tyrant Spiders noticed him and shook off the martial artists that were fighting it.

“Oh no!”

“Look out!”

Zhao Zhongxian felt like prey that was being targeted by a predator. He wanted to run and scream, but the penetrating gaze from his back caused him to freeze. He could count the hair on the Tyrant Spider’s leg. Is this how I die?

“URAAAAAAA!” An arrow shot from nowhere and punctured the head of the tier three Tyrant Spider. The one that fired the arrow was a tier five expert that had been assisting the martial artists on the battlefield. Since the beginning of the battle, he had saved more than forty martial artists on the brink of death with his arrows. Zhao Zhongxian wanted to thank him, but he had already disappeared.

“Hey! You haven’t told us what you wanted to do! Why do you need to be here?”

“Yeah!”

Zhao Zhongxian snapped back to reality and immediately gave them orders. “Quick! Bring the PA system over there to the small hill! Aim it straight at Xiang Ning!” ‘That area’ was the restricted area five hundred meters around Xiang Ning’s battle.

“Huh? What—”

“No time to explain! I need to neutralize that damn bat’s voice!”

“Are you sure?”

“I swear on my fucking head! Now go!”

“Ok, I will go!” Just as he wanted to bring the PA system to where Zhao Zhongxian needed it, his comrade stopped him. “The fuck are you doing? You’re the only son of your family! I have siblings to take care of mine, so let me go instead.”

He immediately grabbed the PA system and ran into the five-hundred-meter restricted zone. He took just five steps into the area and felt his world turning topsy-turvy. He almost fell to the ground, but a sharp burst of static came from the speakers and he instantly felt his mind clear up.

It was Zhao Zhongxian. He had broken his communicator and revealed the electronic board within. He pressed it against the microphone and feedback had burst forth from the speakers. Under normal circumstances, the noise would be extremely irritating, but the martial artist that was carrying the PA system felt refreshed, instead. “LET’S GOOOOOOOO!”

The commander that had been directing the battlefield finally realized that the solution was in front of his eyes. They’d had no idea how to deal with the Amethyst Nightshade to help Xiang Ning, but to think it would be this easy! I’m such an idiot!

Noise! It was made by the vibration of air molecules, so one could obviously disrupt it with another, louder noise!

The warrior ran to the designated area and aimed the speakers at Xiang Ning. He turned the volume up to the max and the horrible sound of the feedback covered half of the battlefield!

Xiang Ning suddenly felt his head clear up a little. The pain from his wounds, dealt by Obsession on his abdomen and back, was also easing up.

Obsession, on the other hand, cried in pain and fell to the ground.

LETS GOOOOOOOOO
