"Let's move towards the gathering of trees at the mountain top, I think the exit should be there."

Yang Meng's voice came in from the side as he helplessly stared at the poor demon beast caught in Sofie's embrace.

"Okay~"

Sofie answered in a loveable voice, extremely happy about how things were going so far.

Yue Wan on the other hand did not say anything and just followed behind both Yang Meng and Sofie, as they made their way into the gathering of trees.

The walk in the small gathering of trees, took way longer than any of them had expected and after what seemed to be an hour of walking inside what they formerly thought to be a small gathering of trees. The three of them arrived at what looked like an ancient ruin.

The ruin had three big doors, with all of them having the form of a half circle. All the doors were locked shut and were the only things reaming intact among the ancient ruins.

The rest of the ruins was mostly made up of rundown walls surround the three giant half circle doors and a weird half broken altar in front of each door.

Trying to look closer, Sofie managed to spot a few words on the altars in front of the giant doors. Sadly, the words were not in the language she knew and looked like some kind of ancient language instead.

"Looks like we are finally here…"

Commented Yang Meng upon seeing the ruins and giant doors standing in front of him with all their grandeur.

"What is this place…?"

Yue Wan asked curiously as her attention seemed to s.h.i.+ft away from Sofie and focus on the giant half circle doors in front of them.

"If I'm not wrong, this place should be the way out of here! The altars in front of the doors are the great chance to get rewards. According to what I know, the altars each give a blessing or reward of sorts to those who pa.s.s their trail."

Excitedly, Yang Meng looked towards the half-broken altars in front of one of the giant doors.

"W-what do you mean by trail? And can these half-broken altars really do anything…?"

Full of doubt, Sofie looked towards Yang Meng beside her.

Looking at him, Sofie could easily feel the excitement leaking from all over his body, while this did disturb her to some degree, it also influenced her as she felt herself growing more and more interested in the half-broken altars in front of the giant doors.

"What do you know! Those are not just any half-broken altars, but heaven grade altars!"

Finis.h.i.+ng his explanation, Yang Meng proudly sent his gaze wandering towards the faces of Yue Wan and Sofie. Wanting to see their amazed expressions.

"Heaven grade?"

Sadly, Yang Meng's expectations died down the moment he saw the clueless expression on both Yue Wan and Sofie's face.

"Do any of you two know the ranking of things like magic weapons, tools and so on…?"

Not believing that both his teammates were so clueless, Yang Meng asked with a slightly annoyed tone.

Upon going over it in his mind, Yang Meng realised how stupid he was and quickly started explaining about the ranking of magic weapons, tools and all in all anything created with the help of qi.

"Hah… Let's start from the bottom then… First is the mortal grade, this grade is split into low-grade, mid-grade and high-grade. The tier 1 disc of fire every disciple entering the sect gets, is a low-grade mortal tool. After that is- yes?"

Indicating that she had something to ask, Sofie had raised the poor wild cat above her head. Making the formerly quiet cat tremble all over. Not knowing what the human would do to it this time around.

"Why did the sect only give us something of the lowest grade…?"

Hearing Sofie's question, Yang Meng coughed loudly almost spitting out a mouthful of blood in the process.

Why did the sect only give us something of the lowest grade? Isn't this the same as saying that the scorching sun sect is stingy? How come to all other sects, even a single low mortal grade item, weapon or tool, is more precious than gold and jewels. But in front of this little junior sister of his, it became the sect giving away low-quality things…?

"Ah… E-even if its low-grade, its still amazing! I'm sure!"

Maybe feeling she said something wrong or seeing the blood leaking out from the corner of Yang Meng's lips, Sofie tried her best to cheer him up again.

"N-no need, w-we will continue the explanation…"

Trembling all over in both shame and anger, Yang Meng knew he could not blame his junior sister as she had no idea what she was talking about.

A laughing voice interrupted Yang Meng as he was trying to calm down before resuming his explanation.

Glaring at Yue Wan with a deadly look, Yang Meng calmed down and started his explanation about what the different grades were, before he was rudely cut short by Yue Wan's laughter.

"Well then… Let's continue where I left off. After the mortal grade is the earth grade, like the mortal grade, it is split into low-grade, mid-grade and high-grade. Following this is a unique grade known as half-heaven grade, this grade is the mid-point between a heaven grade item and an earth grade one. The reason this grade exists is because there is a lot of items, weapons, tools and so on out there, which is stronger than high earth grade, yet weaker than the heaven grade. What is it…?"

Not managing to finish his explanation once again, Yang Meng looked towards Yue Wan and questioned in a slightly irritated voice.

"hm? I was just wondering why there is such a great difference between heaven and earth grade items, as there don't seem to be a half-mortal grade or half-earth grade in the ranking…?"

Confused, Yue Wan looked a little serious for once as she asked her question.

Sofie also heard what she said and looked expectantly towards Yang Meng. Hoping that he would answer Yue Wan's question.

"The difference between an earth grade and heaven grade item has to do with the process which they are made, while things used to make mortal grade items can be used to make earth grade items with enough skill. The same can not be said about heaven grade and earth grade as heaven grade items also have a need for the creator to have a high cultivation stage. Even a low-grade heaven weapon or tool requires someone at the golden core realm to create it."

Explaining about the heaven grade, Yang Meng had a look of awe as he looked towards the half-broken altars in front of the giant doors.

"And all three of the altars are high-grade heaven tools!"

Hearing what he said and seeing the look of awe on his face, both Yue Wan and Sofie looked at each other and saw the doubt on each of their faces.

High-grade heaven tools… those half-broken altars? Are you sure nothing is wrong with your head?

"What do you two know, let's start the trail quickly and get out of here."

Seemingly seeing the doubt inside both of them, Yang Meng angrily retorted before making his ways towards one the altars.
