3 Mount Fluff And Betrayal

Lying down on the bed, Sofie was both excited and nervous about what would happen after she left the village. Sofie had spent her entire life in the river village and had no idea how the world outside of the village was like. From what her big sister said, the outside world was both beautiful and dangerous.

Sofie thought of the dangers and felt a little scared inside. The dangers her big sister talked about when she came home from time to time was demon beasts. They roamed around and could be found everywhere in the world. The reason they were dangerous was, like cultivators they could absorb qi and grow stronger.

Thinking this far, Sofie soon calmed down when she thought about another thing her sister said. The sects around the world helps in killing the demon beasts and makes sure that they will not harm normal people. Scorching sun island, that Sofie was lived on, was protected by the scorching sun sect.

Calming down, Sofie was no longer scared of the demon beast and instead looked forward to entering the sect and growing strong enough to protect her family from demon beasts.

Letting her thoughts wander towards fighting the evil demon beast together with her big sister, heroically protecting her parents. Time pa.s.sed, and Sofie's consciousness slowly drifted away slowly entering the land of dreams.

The sun s.h.i.+nned through a window in her room, a light sound of birds chirping could be heard, as Sofie slowly opened her eyes and looked towards the window in her room. She really wanted to sleep for a while longer. Sadly, the sun did not seem to entertain that thought, as the light shone directly into her eyes forcing her up.

Escaping the light of the sun, Sofie grabbed her quilt and made her way towards her favorite room. Hoping to bury herself under the mountains of pillows and stuffed animals.

*pad pad pad*

A quiet sound was produced, as Sofie swiftly ran across the floor of the house making her way towards her favorite room.

Soon enough, Sofie entered the room and saw the soft and fluffy pillows stacked up together with the stuffed animal forming a small mountain before her. Mount fluff, as Sofie personally named it upon looking up at it and all its glory.

Admiring mount fluff for a few seconds, Sofie soon jumped headfirst into it and buried herself beneath the mountain of fluffy pillows and stuffed animals.

Feeling some resistance from mount fluff, Sofie wiggled her body and soon entered mount fluff. Completely forgetting quilt in process.

Feeling the comfortable feeling of soft fluffy pillows and stuffed animals engulfing her, a sense of sleepiness slowly appeared slowly, as her consciousness drifted away, once again entering dreamland.

"Sofie…! Sofie! Wake up!" Sofie looked around and found herself still lying in the middle of mount fluff. "Sofie! Wake up!" Hearing the voice again Sofie slowly tunneled out of the mountain made of fluffy pillows and stuffed toys.

Making her way out of mount fluff, Sofie soon came out and looked directly at her parents.

"mom, dad? Why are you here?" Looking confused, Sofie called out to her parents.

"Why? Well, a certain someone slept for who knows how long and still hasn't packed yet. Now that certain someone will not have much time to spend with her parents, before leaving for a long time." Staring sharply at her, Sofie's mom scolded her with an ever-growing smile on her lips.

Sofie saw the smile and could not help but feel a slight chill run up her spine, as she looked pleadingly towards her dad.

Sofie's dad quickly looked away and ignored the plea for help his daughter send him. Sofie's mom saw it as well and nodded approvingly towards her husband. Thinking that the lesson last night was not worthless and had paid off.

Turning her head, Sofie's mom looked triumphantly towards her. Sofie on the other hand looked betrayed towards her dad, slowly turning towards her mom with fear clearly written on her face.

"M-m-mom?" Sofie slowly called out to her mom, not wanting to unnecessarily anger her.

"So~ you know that you shouldn't sleep for so long and know your mistake, there is no need to look so scared, come, come. Dad will pack your things while we spend some time together before you leave." Sofie's mom smiled towards her, as she spread her arms wide open, only waiting for Sofie to walk over to her.

Sofie let out a quiet whimper, as she went towards her moms open arms. Soon enough, Sofie found herself lifted away by her mom. Leaving her dad to stand still not knowing what happened.

"B-but… I also want to spend time with Sofie before she leaves…" Sofie's dad could mutter sadly to himself, as he looked at the direction his wife went with his little princess. He really needed to regain some control, but his wife was too scary…

He had no idea what to do, so he slowly started to pack his little princess things hoping that would gain her love and care...

Sofie on the other hand was stuck in the embrace of her mother, with no way out.

Time pa.s.sed and by the time noon came around, Sofie had been forced to play with her mom for all the time. Going from being a dress up doll to becoming a hugging pillow. Sofie was made to do a variety of things for her mom.

Having endured all this, Sofie felt a little angry at her dad. Mainly for leaving her alone when she clearly needs his help.

Entering her room, Sofie saw her favorite plus.h.i.+e standing on the edge of her bed, at the side a backpack filled with her clothes and underwear neatly stacked on top of each other was laying open.

Seeing this Sofie forgave her dad, as it looked like he had packed her things while she was being held hostage by her mom earlier.

Picking up her favorite plus.h.i.+es, Sofie laid them down besides her neatly packed clothes and proceeded to close the backpack. Having closed the backpack, Sofie picked it up with some difficulties and made her way towards the living room where her parents waited for her.

But… Forgiving her dad for leaving her earlier was still a little hard, so Sofie ended up ignoring him when see saw him back in the living room. This resulted in Sofie's dad looking towards his little princess with a sad and begging look in the eyes, making him look like a servant asking his princess for forgiveness after making a big mistake.

Sofie ignored him, while making her way outside together with her parents.

Looking back, Sofie looked at the house she spent her entire life in. The house was big and could almost be called a small mansion. The big house was from her big sister and she did not want her parents and precious little sister to live in a small house.

Sending one last look towards the house Sofie sighed to herself, as she looked up at her parents. Turning around, Sofie made her way towards the gathering ground followed by both of her parents.
